- The new Admech codex is out and it's rather complicated, so let's take a punt at it. In this 2000 point game my Admech take on Hive Fleet Blizzard, expertly commanded by SteveNotRob.

Hive Fleet Blizzard? More like Hive Fleet YOU'RE FUCKED.
Those conversions are MAD! Incredibly cool.
You did Enriched Rounds incorrectly.
Radium Rifles normally auto-wound on HIT rolls of 6. Enriched Rounds makes them auto-wound on HIT rolls of 4+.
If that sounds absolutely ludicrous, then you understand it perfectly.
I think that phrase summarizes the Admech codex.
Its great againts nids cos the strategem excludes viechles
I love the smell of biomass on a Sunday afternoon.
I don’t think ad mech are very tasty mabye a little crunchy tho
@@tylerfiore9758 funny, I thought the exact same thing after posting. I suppose you just put them all in a big nid blender and drain off the tasty goo.
@@larrychicco1062 iron is also a mineral what can be consumed. It would take a while, but theoretically iron is biomass as well.
Winters forgot that Mars forge world gives you a re-roll to hit with every unit
This whole game seem to be about rerolling everything
@@richardbradley2335 Yes, I wish they got rid of all passive rerolls.
He's got nanom... What do you call em?
NANOMACHINES SON!
NANOMACHINES SON
THEY HARDEN IN RESPONSE TO PHYSICAL TRAUMA
Always great to see the pentinent forge out on the field. Make sure to pick up a skitarii marshal or two now!
The “welcome to the channel” he does = great 40k content arriving!
I really like this Tyranid list. I’ll have to show it to my son to try against me, cause the Dimachaeron is his favorite model. Btw, the Tyranid army is beautifully painted.
Those twist cards are so much fun. Pulling the tempest twist so that there was a sandstorm in the desert made this game super entertaining.
It's Steve-not-Rob....... it's Hive fleet Blizzard-not-Gizzard.... it's *NEW* Adeptus Mechanicus-not Imperial Toasters ! It's Another Top Spec Rep.
Steve Rob and the Blizzard Gizzard

"are you enjoyning the tea?"
*raises the mug writen NOPE*
"it's perfect!"
Involved in a desperate struggle against the rampant plant life in my garden but very much looking forward to seeing this later!
Day of the Triffids !
@@Duppyman695 it could be orks too! They’re technically plants by lore 😂😂
If I had a dollar for every good video Winters made, I'd be broke because I spent all of my money on Warhammer.
On a long road trip today with gf and her family so this is perfect timing and I love the mechanicus videos too
Those Nids look amazing! Also, it's always fun seeing Forge World models.
59:07: "So cunning you can put a tail on it and call it a weasel"?
- your one's bigger than mine.
- I've heard that before
GOLD!!!!!
Good to see stevenotrob back in action
So great to see Steve-not-Rob again! Love that scheme on Blizzard. Excellent game!
There is no truth in flesh, only betrayal.
There is no strength in flesh, only weakness.
There is no constancy in flesh, only decay.
There is no certainty in flesh but death.
that tyranid army is so beautiful. Such a great colourscheme and paintjob!
Great to see Hive Fleet Blizzard again - beautiful conversions and really well played.
Cheers matey
Two armies I'd love to start but the thought of painting so many Tyranids and such detailed Ad Mech makes me weak at the knees.
Its your own ambition setting the difficulty really priming the admech metal picking out cloth and lenses washing metal in nuln oil and you have a table ready force. then again Im someone that would spend ages picking out things that would be brass or bronze on them to make each unit take ages. My admech are still on the sprue...
Admech models aren't actually all that bad. A lot of big flat cloth areas and metal panels. There's definitely detail, but it's usually really easy to pick out with the flat side of a brush. I've found skitarii a lot less annoying to paint than chaos space marines, for example.
@@Horribleness3242342 Chaos Space Marines are a beautiful chore for sure
Tyranids can be as detailed as you want them. You could just spray them, drybrush some parts, and slap some glossy wash on there. Pick out the eyes, tongues, and some fleshy bits and you've got a good looking army. I can spend days painting a single Ork model, but I can rush through a unit of Termagants in an afternoon.
@@Horribleness3242342 my admech pile of shame is on its way to you for painting....thanks horribleness! 😄
OMG!
First Dima I seen in ANY of the Warhammer40K Battle Report CZcams Content Creators I follow!
Those conversions! Excellent stuff!
So beautifully painted all round, those Castalan brutes look intimidating, terminator killers come to mind =-)
Well... I was gonna get out of bed. But no I'm not for the next 90 minutes.
Stunning Tyranids army! Great batrep as always 👍
Fantastic painted armies. Great batrep 👍
Love how you guys reference classic lines from Red Dwarf :)
Entertaining Batrep. You really make a solid case for the Open War cards.
Two beautifully painted armies, pleasure to watch
Excellent target priority from the Nid player, awesome paint job too
Very good game here! A lot of fun to watch the back and forth. :)
Wow! That was a great report for showing off the new Tyranid codex...
The flying hive tyrant looks like queen myras mount at the end of Gears of War 3. Looks absolutely stunning.
That Nid army is truly something special. :)
Steve: "I love warriors, I wish they were just tougher and had better shooting"
GW: "Say no more"
Those conversions are fucking bonkers, well done dude
Great game! Lovely to see the Tyranids commanded well! 💪🏻
You have to remember so much to play this. Kudos!
Miss the days when the carnifex was the most terrifying thing the tyranids had to offer
I appreciate the Eminem reference @1:04:26 thanks for the laugh. Great batrep as usual winters
Excellent timing, Winters. I've just woken up from a nap with my daughter 👍 That's Sunday afternoon sorted.
Great to see a strong Tyranid list, they are usually pretty underwhelming in 9th edition.
Beautiful armies, i always love to see the bugs out.
I would love to see you mix it up with some matched play games or maelstrom. I understand that only matched play can be samey, this also applies to open play.
37:35 Only 2 of the doggos could attack plus the leader (on the other side of the pipe). One guy next to the pipe is neither within 1" of an enemy or within half an inch of a model within half an inch or within 1" of a enemy model within 1" of a pipe. Neither is the guy at the back of the group.
Unless you just didn't bother moving guys to consolidate in which case I retract my statement.
Awesome game gentlemen! 🧙🏻♂️
Feel your pain learning the new codex, noticed you missed the mars dogma after turn 2, the reroll 1 hit and wound for each unit
Well that was an impressive first turn shooting for the bugs!
Love watching this stuff with CC on. "Hive Philippe lizard" 😆😆
Great as usual!
I wanted to give you a thumbs up because I love your videos and I love this one. But actually my thumbs up this time is because of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles socks Steve has on
Ha ha
that bug color scheme...wow. looks amazing. i was looking for a scheme that isnt connected to any existing hive fleet... this is perfect
Nice to see the Pentinent forge being played again.
Nice job guys. I think it was a foregone conclusion barring really bad luck that the Nids would win when they got first turn.
While ordinarily I think first turn is nowhere near as good as many make it out to be, that deployment was really not a good kind of deployment for this game.
Great report lads. We’ve just uploaded a very similar Bug list vs 12 X Dread Marine list which was good fun. Much death.
Incredible armies! Brilliant report as always but I wouldn't have divided my force Winters, divide and conquer. Should've had that small group sit behind the containers to lure a smaller force rather than a force that drew the attention of the nasty bugs as easy snackage, and used the flappy boys to recover the objective, you would've had an incredible firing line.
That tyranid army looked beautiful.
Looking at my scythed hierodule while watching this.
Yes forgeworld nids. Goooood goooood
It's not all good news. The Dimacheron got a points hike with the new chapter approved.
@@Wildcat425B look man I'm already sitting in the corner crying with my nids. waiting for a new codex. Don't kick me while I'm down.
@@Wildcat425B What are the new points for Dima?
@@davidmcloughlin6547 plus 20 points from whatever they were before.
Great bat rep guys! Admech rules look scary and its great to see tyranids perform.
Ninja turtles socks. That is cool
nice vides man good work
Beautiful blue bugs !
Great game!
Awesome battle report. Loved the Tyranids! Can we have some more representation from Fenris? We want the Wolves 👍
Great game guys. Those nids look beautiful. And wow are Tyranid warriors BAD. As for Winters, I think the robots are a trap unit. They look so good on paper, but on the board, they are slow and can easily be shut down with screen units (as brilliantly demonstrated by Steve) and are a large chunk of your army. You should get more of the dog guys. They were really good.
I think you're right. Wise words
Got my tea already here 😁😁🔥
Hobnobs prepard?
@@kida4313 all of the hobnobs
My two favorites!!!
Given how vehicles have limited buffs now, it might have been better to start the kastelans and dunecrawlers on the off flank and advanced the Skitarii as one super-buffed blob.
That army is *impressive*
That turn 1 shooting of Steve_not_Rob was absolutely crippling. In the new book Ironstriders are kinda/sorta the best anti big shooting Admech can field so loosing them all before they ever got the chance to act was brutal.
Fun battle rep tho non the less.
yes they should have been set up in cover
Hey winters you might know this already but when you shot with your skitarii in turn one they should have been hitting on 3s due to the doctrina imperative I think
Great game and good board.
Great looking armies
Rly love that blue plan.
Hive Fleet Blizzard is legendary!
woah steve
Great game. Beautiful armies. That big nid beastie is scary. Would not like to kill three of them!
When Admech light cavalry is equal or better in CC to the two best Tyranid CC units in the game... someone needs a codex stat!
I know that you just added an ad mech army in a battle report but I was hoping to see them some more because I wanted to just see how they play, so I could maybe start ad mech.
I love your story telling! Have you ever thought about narrating a battle between other two opponents?
Do you have a list for this Tyranid army please?
Ooooh new admech codex time
Not that I was paying attention but did you check to see if any of the roles on the nids first turn failed to hit because you forgot about the rad saturation on the Sulphur hounds?
YES winters, YES. Great armies. 😀
Cant waitttt
It's the awaited battle between the Adeptus Mechanicus against the Try-nids.
Bugs and robots lovely
"It's an ugly planet its a *Bug* planet"
Great game, great players!
when is the event you mentioned up North? Is it at Element?

That's what i call Blizzard Entertainment...
From what I read in the comments this deserves a rematch since rules were missed. Maybe in future. Can't wait for the next tourney.
Those are some beautiful bugs
Even Gretchin are 5 pts... when compared to pox walkers and most others is kind of nonsense.
Tbh, pox walkers are fine at 5 points, if a bit undercosted, but gants, gaunts, grots, cultists, and conscripts should all be less than 5.
@19:51
Guardsmen are 4.5 points now
I think Gaunts should be 4, they are less powerful than a regular guardsman, have less armour, have fewer things to boost them... the only way to make them do anything is with Devourers
Spine Fists are a strict downgrade now too
Their only useful traits are:
- can be taken in 30s
- have a strat to do MW on death (but its on 6s)
- are ob-sec
- clear screens if given Devourers
Hey anyone know where i could get that exact shelf system that winters has his models on?
Ikea
Tbh mate, they’re not exactly unique shelves, just go shopping around for some simple shelves at an IKEA or your local home improvement store and you should be good.
Rapid fire 2 with 20 guys is, 40x2 shots.., Not that it mattered. As an ad mech player, I sympathize with the difficulty of keeping track of that army. :D
So I have a question, you dont need to mount the crabtanks on the frisbees they come with?
Technically that wouldn't be allowed in an official tournament I believe (bases are very important for positions, charges, etc) but there's nothing stopping you from not having them in a casual setting like this.
You technically do, but it’s not exactly a tournament.
Also if they were rapid fire 2 should you be shooting 80 shots with those 20 rangers?
