- Sylus returns with The Court of Miracles and The 13th stand against them in this 2000 point matched play game. I say Matched Play, but this game turns out to be as narrative as narrative gets.

One thing that always amazed me about Winters is how he meticulously prepares his boards, all this sand and gravel must be a nightmare to clean up afterwards!
Use a handheld vacuum cleaner, then pass it through a sieve. Not that difficult to clean :)
As long as you don't let the cat in the room unsupervised ..
me three
I got really surprised when i realized he did that, i usually just glue the gravel on to stuff like cardboard, and at first assumed he did something similar lol
Or the dog. They'd dig through in no time.
Oh my god, he made a skeletor thousand son for that heman space wolf character winters faced a while ago. That is some brilliant modeling right there.
Hei-Mann has had a promotion and is ready to face Tzeletor!
Saw that gem on Reddit, brilliant conversion
@@efzmonkey The Hymen?
By the power of greyskull
You know you're up against a die hard Tzeench worshipper when the colour of his socks matches the colour of his army...
Sindri Myr LOL
lol lol thats about right, sir.
i'm sure the real hardcore tzeentch players actually change their socks when you're looking the other way
likewise their army changes when you're busy looking at their socks
…are you _sure_ that lord of change was standing behind my whirlwind???
@@soupalex You're not wrong, you know which worshippers never change their socks, especially when you're watching right? I have a pretty good idea what the other 2 major cults do with their socks, but there's no need to bring that up here I think.
@@luckylarry71 who'd have thought that "what does x person do with their socks?" would be such a great analogy for their patron dark god?
Stylus's socks matched his army . . . that's pretty elite.
YES! The man himself is back!
So happy to see another batrep, keep it up you are truly the best!
A recent FAQ confirmed that Thousand Sons Smites do in fact go up, and that this is an intentional change.
Don't think they justified it beyond "they're good enough without it and we're giving them a bunch of other stuff when the new Codex drops"
And the new codex probably drops in 2022.
Yup just in time for 10th lol
Wait do they really? Dang lost an argument to a buddy of mine. Need to look up the faq
@@1098234567 They do. Sounds weird but the way to go might be a lot of rubrics and less HQ's. They can still do well but you have to think a bit our of the box now. Cult of duplicity, tons of rubrics, few Sorcerers and maybe few demon engines because you can teleport them with the spell from the cult.
"And thou shall have one embrace every year as is decreed by the litany of parental affection."
It's no surprise Winters doesn't like Tzeentch. He's a Death Guard player.
Wow that's a battlefield, not just any battlefield its a M&S ........ I mean Winters SEO battlefield! Great rep!!
I was the 69th like ....... Giggidy!
Seriously!!!...Definitely one of the best ones I've seen here...and that is a high bar
Winters SEO: The best looking battlefields since 2014.
Great BatRep. Man those Scarab Terminators are worth building a list around..
Fluffy list and great board from winters, and a badass paint scheme and conversion from our guest, what a treat.
When Zelator completed the psychic ritual he should have let out a mighty "MYEH!"
The insane thing is that thousand sons will be even better soon, with the terminators having 3 wounds and the rubrics having 2
Death Guard too. Imagine that, Death Shroud Terminators with three wounds, Plague Marines with two wounds, and this is before their Disgustingly Resilient comes into effect.
This dude knows how to play Thousand Sons.
This is why this is my main port of call for Battle Reports, always interesting, and always learn a thing or two!
Take it away Capt'n Winters....
I was feeling sick but now I am better this will brighten my day up
As of yet it didn't cure my diarrhea but at least I can bring my tablet to the bathroom.
Hung over too, eh?
@@RecklessFables Ballantines...
Found the nurgle worshippers!
@@NMahon very ironic that I collect deathguard lol
Great to watch Sylus run his Screamers so well. He traded so well and really kept you boxed in. Thanks for the entertaining report. More Thousand Sons please!
I just sat here with my jaw on the floor seeing that Chaos army paint job...WOW, first class. Im hiding my army now.
He reminds me so much of Milo from Atlantis. I always love seeing him come back to the channel and deployment zone. His love for Thousand Sons always makes the batrep so much more fun because of his dedication to them. I always look forward to the next one :) thank you for what you do Winters :)
Great Batrep. Awesome table. Stylus has such a brilliant narrative army with conversions of the characters based on the battles he has had. A well deserved win.
Great batrep!
Two great guys playing with great fluffy amies and having a great time - that is what 40k is supposed to be!
Just wanted to say that I really appreciate you putting battle reports for free up on youtube. Because yours and Liams are the best out there c:
Updated on 12th August in the Grey Knights and in the Thousand Sons FAQ:
DESIGNER’S NOTES
PSYCHIC FOCUS
Many veteran Thousand Sons players are unclear whether or not
a matched play rule called Psychic Focus, which was published in
the previous edition of the game and enabled their psykers to ignore
the increasing Warp Charge cost of Smite, should continue to apply
or not. For clarity, this rule is not a feature of the 9th edition of
Warhammer 40,000, and Thousand Sons psykers manifest Smite
just like any other psyker unit. Rest assured that the psychic might
of this army can be reflected using the additional updates and
rules found within Psychic Awakening: Ritual of the Damned, and
we will be building upon this even more in the 9th edition version of
Codex: Thousand Sons.
Just went out for burgers with a friend and came home to this. Winters, you´re a treasure!
Edit: Those Scarab Occult Terminators are scary as hell
It was nice to see standard Marines in action again instead of Primaris Marines.
Another gorgeous table set-up, Winters! Thank you for all that you do for the community.
Thoroughly entrrtaining batrep, and that board was gorgeous, sir!
Great to have you back Winters!
What a great battle! Really exciting! Wonderfully narrated, thank you fir that great sunday story during me building my genestealer cult uprising.
That defiler looks friggin sick. What an eye-catcher of a model.
Very nice table as always. Hope all is well winters. Be well
Stoked for any new battle report, but I'm working on a thousand sons army, and always love to see them in action! Hope you are well, and thank you for making my day better!
That mutalith defiler is a really cool idea, kudos!
Your battlereports are always making my day, great game and thank you
Really enjoyed this one Winters. Bravo, both are not armies i play but it had me engrossed from start to finish. Thumbs up all round for me.
Another great battle report Winters! Great armies and narrative.
Sylus reminds me of a nerdier Henry Cavill with his Clark Kent look and mannerisms lol. Nice to see the passion in each of your armies! Skeletor lookalike was amazing!
Thanks for reinvigorating my love of Thousand Sons.
That was great fun, and proof (if any was needed) that, if you play narrative, you always win; even when you loose.
Honestly Winters I truly have been praying for your well being and I know you will pull through this all and come out stronger for it. Love your channel and you man. Keep going!
wait whats wrong with winters?
Lovely report. Really enjoyed it. Stylus is a classy opponent.
Ouch! Those scarab terminators better be getting a hefty points increase when they get 3 wounds and a codex lol. They are nasty.
5:25 Winter's + Spacemarines + Hobnobs = High tier combo 👍😎😂
Hell yeah always good to see a SEO vid. Glad you're doing better Winters!
Insanely brave or incredibly nuts to put sand everywhere! Looks fantastic Winters!
Great battle report. Fantastic camera work and narration.
Very new to your channel and I love the report! Especially how you keep a narrative focus throughout!
Love the diverse armies you show! Great batrep from a great person 🙌
2 minutes in and I can already tell this is going to be a fun narrative game.
This channel has the best 40k batreps, they're so good.
Absolutely loved that battle report. It really felt like an epic story being played out right in front of us. Thank you Winters!
Love the forged narrative winters. You have inspired me to do this with all my games.
With that name i imagine the TS sorcerers amazing the civilians with cheap card tricks before suddenly pulling out the inferno bolters and start shooting.
Delighteful
Thousand Sons look interesting and fun with all their trickery, might pick them up next after my Custodes.
Last time I was this early I caught the milkman
Love that TSons army!! Great theme, great fluff, great mechanics!
I’ve been checking every day for a Winters battle report and finally I get one. Thank you sir I’ve missed your reports.
Great, I'm considering Thousand Sons as my second army.
Matt Male Me too.
Haha third here as well
Do it..... Thousand Sons are a great choice 💙💛💙
What a beautiful table. The sand looks so good with that terrain.
Really good to see you back and doing well.
Love the passion you put into the descriptiveness of the action....Really brings it to life in the mind.
It really really brings it to life in my knee!
Wow, Winters. Never seen you worked with sand in addition to the gravel. It looks terrific ! Must copy it. Thanks for the inspiration
A big thumbs up to the both of you. Keep it up.
You do some of the best battle grounds. I appreciate the time you put into it; it looks great!
Great video. Pleasure to watch, thanks.
I had a great time. Thanks for the video!
Great game chaps! Nice narrative organically formed!
Great stuff good to see you hope you are feeling better great bat rep as always
I died when I saw the Skeletor Sorcerer XD
Great BR boys. Shout out to the thousand sons! Now I need to get my hands on some screamers. I hadn't realized how good they can be
1:34:07 - You got VERY lucky here. For the future, there's a stratagem to simply ignore Perils of the Warp while keeping the result of your psychic test. Worth it to pay 1 CP to keep a super Smite.
1:35:47 - God DAAAYYAAM, I need to get more Scarab Occults in my list. That was an astounding shooting phase! You just turned that whole battle around! It was definitely worth it to keep your CP to use that stratagem!
Great video as always! Shout out to Hobnobs, official sponsor of warhammer games world wide!
"I'm not a fan of Tzeentch now....you got any more stuff??"
Easily one of my all time favorites so far, great game
I love the conversion work! The defiler is great but, the tzaangor in rhino is the winner for me :)
Awesome batrep. The battlefield and armies were amazing as always. Gotta Sylus to speak up though. Hard to modulate the volume between you and him.
That is my bad. I know I need to raise my voice, but Winters is such a lovely man, it's hard to shout at him.
I love your marine force! It’s a fuller version of what my first home brew chapter uses. Scouts, speeders, bikes and termies/vets.
Their backstory is that their homeworld got genestealer culted and exterminatused. They lost ~70% of their strength and were inducted into a crusade of penitence. Which basically means they serve the inquisition until farther notice.
While they’re building their numbers back up, they make extensive use of their scouts to both bloody them quickly and spare there vets, who then deep strike to eliminate threats.
Excellent map. Very Baalite; looks like an irradiated canyon. Good game too.
Great game,thanks for the upload!
That sand had to be a mess to clean up though 😁
As always super batrep. This was like a movie and a great viktory for the loyalists, because 1000 sons never betrayed ;)
What a game that was dope as fuck, Big up Winters SEO, DZTV and The 13th.
Your tables are always so glorious! I would love to have a timelapse vid of you putting it together!
Awesome, been looking forward to a new winters bat rep.
Nice use of Ravenwing Protocol Winters! Cheers from a Dark Angel player! Great battle report as always sir.
Excellent Bat Rep as always
Great game guys! I'm trying to include lots of daemons in my thousand sons list as well. Very nice to see!
Oh man love me some 1K Sons
He seems happier I hope he’s happier
Whoo! Just in time, just finished work and here it is! Cheers winters ya legend :)
Good luck Winters, great to see you gaming!
Quality narrative, easy to understand, great bat reps!
Lovely terrain. Winters is back with his 13th - Saturday's evening is saved. Hooray!
Damn! The table looks nice!
Good to see Stylus back on the channel and great to see him facing the 13th.
Thanks buddy (and put Hei-Mann on notice!)
Can't help but notice Snow is without Primaris backup for this one. ;)
Really nicely themed lists! Following a major battle the Thousand Son's teleport in to in act a ritual, leaving Snow with little time to mobiles anything other than a fast moving force to thwart the sorcerers.
WoooooooT ! A winters battle report day is a yay day !
Ultramarines V/S Thousand sons matchup colors looks a bit like Smurfs V/S Nävi from Avatar ^^
Thousand Sons is one of the armies I'm thinking about getting for my first army. Seeing how you can make them a speedy army in this report was a great learning opportunity.
They were my first army too. A bit of a learning curve, but always fun to play.
Actually, this may be a good place to ask. Thanks to Winters's videos, I've become interested in narrative play 40k. Lore-wise, the armies I'm interested in collecting are Thousand Sons, Orks, Demons of Tzeentch and Nurgle, and Salamanders. I like the lore and the look of the models for all of these armies. Never played WH before. Any suggestions for which one to start with? Should I get the recruit box to see if I like the game first?
@@troabarton69 The starter box would allow you to have a small force of Salamanders, and of the ones you've listed, they're probably the best army to get you into the game. There's plenty of opportunity to branch out once you know what you like playing.
Man, watching this bat rep really makes me want to hang out with you guys. Nice game, fun to watch!
Love the marine list dude, really nice narrative based list. Always makes for more fun games when it happens . ❤
Fantastic game! Winters got pretty lucky with the defiler.
As much as I love the astartes, it's nice to see them lose occasionally.
Great content, stunning table!
Great match, well done both!
