Wonderful to see so much terrain blocking LOS and the game itself showed how important it is to play objectives. Awesome and characterful game

What an epic battle, between good friends with edge-of-your seat rolls and unlikely outcomes here and there. 40k at its best, that was genuinly a treat.
It is unbelivable how many 9th battles ive seen where the initiative rolls were tied

I absolutely love every time the Word Bearers and other Traitor legions are brought in against their rivals. The board was amazing as well. Keep up the great work.
What an incredible game to watch. Super close, brutal all over, and a wonderful terrain setup, making for little pockets of combat, back and forth on every objective. Great stuff
you cannot use "aura" abilities while the character is performing an action.
He also shot with his chr while doing an action a few turns. Sorry bud... but thats a tainted win :(
That terrain and it's positioning really helped to make this batrep more interesting.
I always thought that "grabbing throbbiness" is more of Emperor Children's thing.

Really enjoyed this one. Both armies look great. At first I was sceptical about the terrain set up but after watching the report I think it made the game much more enjoyable and challenging for the players. I love that Winters is using an “old school” list and seems like 9th really suits it. Keep up the great work and glad you are now full time 👍

I believe this is the same map that was used in the Death of hope campaign number 4! If you havent signed up to DZTV, you need to! the Narrative campaign was really good and is worth a subscription!

Never been this early and I am very excited to see this classic matchup.
This was such and interesting and dynamic game. One thing that would be nice is to see a point summary at the beginning of each turn. With the different primary scoring and all of the secondaries it makes it hard to keep track, Thank you for all your hard work again, winters, it's always a pleasure to watch your content.
Really nice battlefield of tight corridors. First time I’ve seen such a restricted battlefield, and it worked very well.

The Richie Richies are so used to getting everything they want that he didn't even think of it one time in 3 turns and then there was Garo who also syphoned the objective while all along lending the reroll benefit..:)))
i think he could have done it with a techmarine gunner and still fire the cannon i think

I personally don't notice when one or the other is used.
Great video as always, good table set up with lots of line of sight blocking senary which made it a very tactical game. Dom seemed a nice bloke.

27:15 - could u use lieutenant's aura to re-roll wounds if he performs "siphoning power"? I thought that no matter what action you are performing you cannot use any of model's abilities.

Hit like as soon as I saw the terrain setup - well done!... Unliked at 45 min due to being a chaos player and having to witness space marine cheese. Liked again at 1:44:278 for Chaos Space Marine Lord cheese.

My macdonalds order came just as I found this in my subscription list. What a lovely bank holiday Sunday.
Thoroughly enjoying the battle report as usual. A quick question in turn two you reroll the the one due to the Lieutenant.
I thought if you were performing an action then you couldn't use the characters aura, so shouldn't have been able to make the reroll.
Or am I confusing it with something else?

I love Word Bearers and want to make my first army with them eventually (when I can afford this costly game XD)
I think they should rework the Thunderfire cannon. I don't really like that you can fill your ranks so easily with Techmarines that are supposed to be HQs.
Maybe making them way stronger but as potential additional war gear for Techmarine HQs that would be awesome. I also think they are kinda OP right now....?

Which map size are you using? We had a game this weekend on the new smaller map size and it did feel a bit too small when using Landraiders.

Beautiful board and setup, good looking armies, excellent battle. Entertaining and informative, that you very much. Something I’ve noticed, many SM player rarely bring Chaplains or Librarians, but the Chaos side always have one or more characters that have smite abilities. Why do you think that is? I’ve seen your DG “ End of All Things” turn a battle at a critical time with their smite ability and your opponent had no response ( smite).
Competetive game with a good narrative!
If you see obliterates on the table you point every gun you can find at em! if you don't you will regret it.
Dont like Ultra Marines very much, but i love this batrep. Keep up the good stuff. Big thumbs up.
