As an ex-handball player, i can confirm there is a lot more running involved than one might think though it depends on what position you are
for cardio, ideas for cardio one might enjoy:
Running
swimming
burpees
jumping jacks
battle ropes
kettlebell swings w varitations
100 ups (knee ups)
bear crawl
Bicycling as well
rope jumping
I love swimming tho, too bad there arent lots of pools near my area.

Horseback riding engages core and inner thighs. So if you're looking for a hobby that helps build that core strength, it's not a bad one. If your looking for low impact, high resistance, water aerobics is a great choice. Water exercises tend to be good choices for people dealing with spinal issues and weight issues that might make other exercises more difficult or even dangerous. My Physical Therapist recommended just walking in a pool for some issues with my lower back.
@Diya most home or apartment pools have a shallow end where you can touch the bottom while your head is above water.
As a horse rider, I can tell you that we burn a lot of calories, depending on the gait, for example if you’re doing a posting (raising) trot you’ll burn a lot more than a walk/canter.

As somebody who rides horses, depending on what your doing.. You can burn LOTS of calories. I normally ride for a hour, doing 20 minutes trotting, 5 minutes cantering, and the rest is spent walking or jumping. And sometimes I di dressage, all these activities are fun ngl

Ping pong can be really exhausting, especially at a higher level. If you're just messing around and barely putting any power to your shots then sure, it's really chill but at a higher level you can burn calories super fast.

i also was confused why it wasn’t mentioned. But according to statistics its second to most effective exercise for burning max calories in short amount of time. First is sprinting
3:45 i burn 600-800/ hour depending on my speed as 120 lbs (abt 100/mile)
my last was 4 miles and 450- it was about as tiring as a 20 mile non-mountain bike though that wasnt easy either

As someone who plays ping pong/table tennis for 2 and a half hours a day, it is really tiring. Btw if you play it for fun yes you don't burn that many calories but if you play semi- professionally it is really tiring. (It might be different based on your age because i'm 10 years old and I train in New Zealnad.

Reality is, you need an exercise that builds muscle. It is muscle that uses calories. So the more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn - ALL THE TIME. It makes no sense to just burn calories DURING exercise when you can raise your Basal Burn rate with more muscle. And Heavy Leg Exercises - Squatting and Leg presses do that. If you only do Squats and Bench presses - you will get to most of the bigger muscles in your body. No - you won't become a bodybuilder - but it is better than becoming a skinny geek as well.
