To get the most gain in sit ups, you shoud keep your back and neck straight, lift up to a 45° angle ( or half way up ) and when you go down, only go down to where your shoulders are just above the floor and make sure your shoulders, neck and head are not touching the floor, and keep that position for 5 seconds, then go back up to 45° and repeat.
If you want to increase the effectiveness of this exercise do the above but keep your arms straight above your head.
Doing 1000 wont do anything at that point you're just training endurance not strength, if u wanna get strong you should do something that you can do at most 20 straight reps to failure, also instead of doing so many of the same exercise do 3 sets of 5-12 exercises per workout

After doing 100 sit-ups a day for longer period, i found that my metabolism increased.... i don't feel bloated, the food i eat gets used.
And i like them cuz unlike other exercises (running, weightlifting), they are not hard on your joints and other main muscles....so sit-ups are great for when you rest from the gym.

Yeah same lmao. It makes my stomach feel good and it helps wake me up in the morning, plus it does help with my sleep, not all of us need to hit the gym for 2 hours to feel a bit more tired

Something to mention to people in the comments is that you will stop getting muscle hypertrophy between 12 and 20 reps and will then only be training for endurance after that, so spread the reps out over sets of 12-20. Train efficiently guys!
So for example, I should rather do 20 then rest for 30 seconds 5 times instead of doing 100 hundred in one go?

I am about to watch this video, but I am a 14 year old boy, I am in 8th grade, and I Did this challenge already. From the beginning of february last year, to the start of february this year, I did 100 sit-ups every day. I did have a very sore neck for the first few weeks, but otherwise, I had no injuries or soreness. This challenge felt great to finally complete.

I did do 100 sit ups every day for 3 month straight, other then I got a stomach that was harder then diamonds, it made me get alot, and I mean ALOT of lower back pain, and I found out that I have 8 packs(I have a very fast digestive system which makes me have a low body fat percentage), now the last two packs are getting unravelled.
(A human has 10 packs throughout the entire abdominis)

when I was 10 I did 100 situps everyday for a few months. I noticed none of these benefits. I did the situps because I wanted a six pack. Now at 14 I have a sixpack, and I realise that it is from having a low body fat, situps don't give you a six pack.

When you can do 100 sit-ups there is a major benefit. If you ever get punched and you manage to use the muscles to avoid getting hurt( make them tight? English isn't my first language) then you'll be very thankful

I advise people to do 50 sit up’s per day and take one break day through a week this helped me especially for soccer.

That's because you are doing too long and when your abs fatigue you start to arch your body and the lower back takes over. Gotta make sure it's the core that's handling the load and not the back so when you feel form breakdown just stop
