If all else fails, this is how to wipe it clean and start over. Master Reset will wipe all pairings and settings, but keep the firmware version you have.
Hi, I've reached out to Cardo many time and they don't reply. I sent my packtalk slim back to cardo once and they sent me the same unit (same code as what I sent) with the same issue. If I connect to my phone, ever 1-30min a loud painful static noise come through. I've tried multiple phones and different speakers but that doesn't fix it. I've had my Cardo paperweight for almost 2 years waiting for a reply. Since I mostly ride solo, should I through it in the trash and get cheap earbuds?
Getting a message to do a firmware update, when I a knowledge and try to do the firmware update I get an error and message that some units maybe difficult to upgrade and that Cardo is working on the issue. Any ideas on how to complete an upgrade. I am not always able to pair with my phone or other units. Appreciate any feedback.
I just tried and saw the error/warning that you are talking about. Not sure what that's all about. I just clicked to close the warning message and proceeded as usual; updated an older Packtalk of mine without issue. I'd say give it a go and take it from there!
Have you had any issues with this cardo slim unit? I've read some reviews and some are complaining of the charging port coming completely off when disconnecting charging cable
@Rod G I haven't personally had any issue with it but I've read similar things! Not sure what is causing that (is it rough handling or just a poor design??) I have to imagine that if it's a widespread deal then they would have to address it via either redesign or extended support. Fingers crossed!
Mine just flashes blue 3 times and does nothing,. NOT impressed with Cardo at all. I can't get it to updater on Windows or a Mac. Neither computers (I have tried 4 so far) will see the unit in the updater
Just a side-note make SURE to use the cable that came with it to connect to the updater. All micro-usb cables will fit, but the cable has to be a data cable (like the one it comes with) not just a power-only cable in order to work
@@MotoGeekFreak I received TWO Cardo Pack Talk Slims together in one box. Both came withe a respective cable. One unit was able update. Not the second unit. I ordered a third unit and it ALSO will not update with the cable provided by Cardo on 4 different computers (2 Macs and windows based computers). My previous conclusion stands. 100% JUNK!!!
if CARDO its THE name regarding helmet intercomms we are fucked i have a packtalk slim and music works flawlessly but it randomly makes calls, when i say "OK Google" it just answers me back "OK google" and does nothing else with that information. 265 USD lost right there, complete waste of my money. dont buy it.

@@MotoGeekFreak Thank you for the reply, bought my own a few days ago. Hopefully it will last a while.
I reset my Cardo PT Slim as suggested, but then I can't find my device on my phone. What should I do?
Did you get this figured out? Doing the master reset shouldn't affect that at all...
