    Very helpful video. One improvement: instead of the short metal clip, I used the long metal clip and trimmed the two prongs that go into the helmet so that the battery pack fits closer to the edge of the helmet. This allows you to use the rubberized cover and eliminates or hides the gap from the battery and the helmet edge.

      @@toomanybarts Sorry, I don't remember. I know I trimmed off a little bit at a time until it fit perfectly. Remember, you can always cut off more, but you can't add it back, so take your time. Good luck!

      @@makemann In the end I bent the short metal clip to fit and its jammed it in : it's not going anywhere! I was worried about trimming the long one and having sharp ends carving up the inner liner so went with the small.

    Thank you !! I was a bit hesitant because one of the reviewers from Revzilla said it does NOT fit well with the RF1200. But, I know it does !! ... Thank you ! I am buying from your Amazon link !

    Thank you man. I've seen other instructions but I didn't know how to bend plate correctly. No need for speedup thou. I had to rewatch it few times anyway :)

    Woah, great vid, have this helmet on order and was worried about installing the slimpack since the 1200 isn't on their official fit list. Looks like it's not a problem. Will be referencing this when I get my helmet. Thanks a lot Michael!

      @@MichaelMutai Hey just wondering why you used the boom mike instead of the corded one ... the corded one should work inside a full face helmet and the boom mike looks bulky.

      It was more of a random choice btwn the two...but i will be reinstalling the corded one to see how it performs..

    Cardo units should be the EUC rider standard, considering that we do group rides MESH is definitely something to have.

      Funny thing is have never seen anyone with EUC in my area.Am of the idea that walkie talkies would be more efficient for a group ride.

    Any concerns on the battery metal clip being dangerous in case of an accident? Seems like it might do some nasty damage to the back of your head.

      The metal clip fits firmly btwn the helmet and the foam layers and also holds the battery pretty good.It doesnt seem like it will come out under accident scenario

    Great video, Mutai. I am going to install mine soon (possibly tomorrow) and my setup is exacly the same. Well, my RF1200 / NXR is glossy black, so I will have to use a towel to lean the helmet on it during the installation :D.

    Hi Michael, thanks for the video! Got everything installed but I can't get the left hand side lining back into place due to the controller. How did you manage to get round that?

      I reinstalled the lining/padding first then the controller......It slides into the space btwn the helmet shell and the padding

    Don't use the boom mic, just use the small wired one. Boom mic is for open face helmets. Will make your life easier!

    I just wonder why did you go for the bomstick when there was a separate mic without bom? I belive the mic tech is the same. The bomstick is needed only for half helmets and opening helmets.

    Great video. Why didnt you use the smaller mic in the chin of the helmet vs the larger one? Just curious...

      Why train of thought was the arm in the larger one was going to give me adjust-ability in terms of position...Havent tried the smaller one though

      @@MichaelMutai awesome, I have my packtalk bold on order and my rf1200 on order as well. I think I will try the smaller mic to start and see how it works. What camera did you use to film this? It looks great!

      Rf1200 is a good choice...Thought my head was more than $50 so i went with shoei...i used gaffers tape to hold all the wiring inside the helmet just incase u might need the info...dint get the chance to show on the vid . Link amzn.to/3bsw5Ky .Let me know how the mic performs at 65mph+...As for the camera Canon T7i With kit lens 18-55mm....This was my 1st vid

    Hey! Do you have an issue where when you take the helmet off the snap in the Right Cheekpad comes undone? I noticed it after I installed my slim and wondered if you had the same problem and if you had a fix lol

      My friend has this helmet and he said if you have a backpack and it’s up high sometimes it gets caught in it

    You put the wrong microphone in. You used the one for an open face helmet. Your suppose to use the full face helmet microphone.

    How did you reinstall the padding on the side with the cardo clip I am having trouble with this because the wires are in the way not sure how you made it flush like in the pictures at the end

      @ Jacob Vans I used tape to hold the wires in the helmet...then slowly reinstalled the padding....hopefully u have it taken care of...

    Do you know if theres a difference between the boom mic and the regular wired mic? I'm installing my cardo bluetooth the same as yours, this video helped me ALOT thank you! :)

      I dint use the regular mic ...i have been using the boom mic and it works really well....i think i will put the regular mic to just test it out

    Every install of the slim on a RF 1200 or 1400 is a lie. The speakers dont fit, you can see that in this video.
