  • How to use "DMC Bridge" to bridge a normal Bluetooth headset into your DMC group. Once bridged, everyone can hear and talk to each other even though that person doesn't have a DMC headset

    Your a LIFE Saver MotoGeek Freak!! Could not have paired my 2 PackTalk Slim helmets to the new SENAS SRL in my Neotech2 without your video. I read so many other instructions that just didn't work. Kudos to you.

    Ridiculous how complicated and time consuming this is. Nonetheless, I appreciate your willingness to share this valuable info!!!

    Hi, could you please clarify the following?
    1. In Bluetooth mode, after pairing with a non-cardo unit, the possibility of listening to music is out of questions if the connection with Rider A or B is active.
    2. In DMC mode it is also impossible to listen to music of Rider A/B is bridged in the mesh group. However, in this case, music starts but gets interrupted every second or so even if nobody is speaking, seems to be on a Fast Forward mode (like an x2 speed) and with a lot of buzz.
    3. "Sena's popcorn noise" seems to happen also with Cardo whenever bluetooth mode is being used - simple or bridged in DMC.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks a lot and a bit LIKE for your amazing work.

    Be great if you made video about how Sena's do this for their Mesh 2.0

    In bridge, does the Sena mic always stay on? That seems worthless on an open face helmet situation.

      @MotoGeekFreak  Před 4 lety

      @MT Aventure Thanks!! No you shouldn't have to do the pairing(s) again once you get it all set up. When you go to power on, just give them a few seconds to remember their pairings and you should be good!

    Excellent video on how to cross pair comms.
    I was able to successfully connect 2 cardo and one 30k units following these steps.
    But after sometime the dmc bridge gets disconnected by itself and i have to reactivate the dmc bridge again.
    Is this the way bmc bridge supposed to work ? Or its a bug in my packtalk slim ?

    Hi, i made a previouis comment on your other video. if my friends have the 30k sena and i have a packtalk bold, do i have to activate mobile pairing to their sena 30k? i love the cardo and it's muich more supier than the sena and chatter box

    • @MotoGeekFreak
      @MotoGeekFreak  Před 5 lety +3

      William Yang 👋 If you’re the only Packtalk and there’s a bunch of 30k then yeah; one of them would do “Universal Pairing Mode” on their 30k and you would have to use “Mobile Phone” pairing mode (pressing and holding the Mobile button until LED flashed red/blue rapidly) to make the cross-brand pairing work. If it was opposite (bunch of Packtalk and a couple 30k, then YOU would do Universal and THEY would do Mobile). I think that answers your question but lmk if not.

      @@MotoGeekFreak Thanks! Before I did it and it work and I didn't know what made it work but later it didn't work. But now I do understand. I do love Cardo and so do you. We rode alot last year and our solution was to do a group call on our cellular.
      1 more question can I use 2nd slot mobile pair to their Sena or I have to use 1st slot to make it work? Hope you understand.

    • @MotoGeekFreak
      @MotoGeekFreak  Před 5 lety +2

      @@boibluex12 You can use the 2nd mobile slot for sure, but just remember that the 1st mobile spot will take priority! Meaning, if you tap the "Mobile" button on your Packtalk it will open your phone's voice assistant (Siri, Google Voice, etc. depending on phone....which is what it's supposed to do) instead of opening the intercom channel. Basically, like this for you:
      Slot 1: your phone
      Slot 2: the 30k
      -when you tap "Mobile" button, you get the phone's voice assistant. The 30k will be able to open intercom with you if you're not on an actual phone call, but you won't be able to initiate intercom from your end
      Slot 1: the 30k
      Slot 2: your phone
      -when you tap the "Mobile" button, it will initiate intercom with the 30k. You will still be able to take phone calls and listen to music from your phone, but ONLY when not talking (intercom closed) with the 30k (because your phone would be lower priority on slot 2) and you will not have access to the phones voice assistant.
      Long answer but i hope that helps a bit!

    Since update 5.3 the radio can not be closed out and shut down even if you close the cardo ap on the phone, any experience with this? Radio continues to play even after ap is down.

    • @MotoGeekFreak
      @MotoGeekFreak  Před 4 lety

      The radio should turn off by clicking the roller wheel once (or using the app or using the voice command, but I mostly just click the wheel). If it's not doing that, definitely do the latest firmware they just released (v5.6) to see if that fixes it. The app can turn on/off the fm radio but the fm radio is not dependent on the app to operate. Hope it helps and good luck!

    Hi
    Would you recommend pairing the Packtalk bold to the bmw tftt via DMC or Bluetooth?

    • @MotoGeekFreak
      @MotoGeekFreak  Před 3 lety

      I'd use the Packtalk Bold in DMC Mode while paired to the BMW TFT - it's much better at managing multiple thing at once when it's in DMC Mode. Hope that helps!

      If it’s you and your buddy on DMC, and that DMC buddy is also using a Bluetooth sat nav, yes absolutely. No problem at all. Just make sure that your buddy pairs his sat Nav using the “GPS Pairing Mode” on his Packtalk and all should be good.
