Black Smoke from Germany desrved better place
100% agree.
YES
I‘m German and I disagree
Exactly. Absolutely agree. I liked it back then and now, after listening again I repeat
I AM SORRY, BUT 'DO IT FOR YOUR LOVER' WAS CLEARLY THE WORST HERE.
So iconic at the same time. For all the wrong reasons, of course, xd.
Totally agree. It's cringy.
@@srcarapan I disagree. It was not "so bad that it was actually good" sort of performance. It was just utterly nightmarish.
@@srcarapan Iconic? That's hardly the word I would use for it. How the Spanish broadcaster chose him was shameful. How he handled all the criticism was shameful. How he didn't think anything was wrong with corruption was shameful. How he actually sang and placed in Eurovision was shameful. So yeah, I would use the word 'shameful'. Or 'karmic'.
@@tusanesc by iconic I meant no one will ever forget him, even if we want to
Those two German last places in the 10's were pretty good songs, and "Ghost" was actually one of my favourites that year. On the other hand, it's more embarrassing for the big nations to finish last because they didn't fight their way through the semis.
That's why usually they came bottom. Others have proven alreadly to be enough liked by televote or juries before the final unlike Big 5 or host
Yes Ghost was a total shock for me and my wife. We always seem to be on the same page with William but not on this 1. I loved it then and I still love it now 🙈😂
@@nilerra8181 We need some statistics to prove that point. In terms of Israel, UK and Germany last year, I'm pretty sure those songs wouldn't have made it through from the semi finals.
It’s weird because i remember a lot of those songs. It means it’s not bad(for me)because I don’t remember them as bad. And in my opinion Eurovision is like a lottery and it’s a little bit political.
O jardim DID NOT DESERVE last place for sure.
O Jardim was the BEST. What an incredible and unique song. Still mad at this day that it came last.
ChocoGarfind My 2nd place of the decade
Yes!!!! Thank you! I loved it.
Matt Olsen People just couldn’t get behind it because of early spot
YES YES YES agreed!
Absolutely, what an amazing song, struggles of being the host country sometimes though unfortunately
"O Jardim" and "Black smoke" are my favourite last places!
Black Smoke was the best, that deserved top 10
Honourable mention - Ghost
O Jardin is piece of art! Eurovision didn't deserve that delicate song and emotion!
I actually loooooove 'O Jardim', I still listen to it and it gives me goosebumps to this day!
For me the the songs, that did least deserve to come last are “Black Smoke” and “O Jardim”. Both were so beautiful 😍
"Black Smoke" is my favorite German entry ever 😃 The melody, the lyrics, the "sassy vibe", Ann Sophie's voice... Love it, love it, love it ❤❤❤
My most deserved last places: UK 2010 and Spain 2017
My most undeserved: Ireland 2013 and Portugal 2018
We should have got nil points in 2015 but we got five instead so, we should have been joint last then.
Black Smoke is still one my favourite Eurovision songs of the 2010s, I'm still listening to this day in and day out
Claudia pascal and ann sophie are my favourites
Wow! I completely disagree with you guys.
Ann Sophie should not have come last, and she wouldn't have with the different voting we have now. I also really enjoyed O Jardim.
And I completely understand why Anna Rosselini and Ryan Dolan came last. Also the songs that clearly deserved last place are obviously "That sounds good to me" and "Do it for your lover", that is in no way shape or form debatable 😂
Anna Rossinelli was ROBBED.
O Jardim is a stunning song. By far the best in this group.
My winner in 2016 was Germany 🇩🇪 and my winner in 2018 was Portugal 🇵🇹 oops
Germany 2015 and Portugal 2018 were so amazing. The most deserved last place is UK 2019 imo.
Really? You find 2019 worse than 2010???
@@lmn6023 yes That Sounds Good To Me was memable at least. Bigger than trash was absolutely dreadful and borinh
I agree about who didn't deserve last place. For me Spain with "Do it for your lover" totally deserved what they got.
Oop. Well, "O Jardim" and "Black Smoke" were actually my favorites, and I had them on repeat during the time of Eurovision in those years.
Yeah, me too! I still love them so much! 😍
The only song that deserved last place big time was spain’s 🇪🇸 “Do it for your lover”! That repetitive song and sour vocals were a pain.
O Jadim from Portugal 🇵🇹 on the contrary was a beautiful masterpiece. Very touching theme on family legacy and passing of life. Your grandma doesn’t need to own a garden for you to understand that.
Let's see if John Lundvik can do for Tom Leeb this year what he did for Michael Rice last year! 🙈
Jokes aside, I don't think doing poorly at Eurovision is a sign of a bad song, it's a sign of a song that doesn't render itself well to Eurovision. Some things are just too niche or work better in a different type of venue or are too culturally specific. Every year several of my favourites get lost in the semis and then others I like end up in the bottom 5 at the final. I hope all of them enjoy the benefits of the exposure they received at least.
My favourite last placer is probably Jamie Lee's Ghost, sorry William but I'm with the German music industry on this one. 😜 My other favourite is Twin Twin's Moustache. Actually I really enjoy most of the songs featured here and still listen to a handful of them.
Yes I agree with you here. Ghost really does not deserve such negativity in my opinion. It was 1 of my favourites that year
O Jardim is one of my favorite ESC songs of all time.
Adore O Jardin, Moustache , Ghost .....and Tooji!!!!
Ghost was great
no way...both Germany 2015 and 16 are my favourite last places
Portugal shouldnt be last (it was in my top 10 tbh)
Jamie-Lee Kriewitz QUEEN!!
Ann Sophie also robbed😔💔
Poor Germany
Some of these are actual bops and deserved getting placed higher
You guys should review the songs that came dead last in the competition.
Like 41st, 40th, 42nd and and so on
Like Juri Pootsman, Sarah McTernan, Trina Park (I think)
Juri , my favorite in 2016
Rebecca Woolf
2010: Michael Von Der Heide 🇨🇭
2011: 3JS 🇳🇱
2012: Trackshittaz 🇦🇹
2013: Hannah 🇸🇮
2014: Cristina Scarlat 🇲🇩
2015: Mélanie René 🇨🇭
2016: Juri Pootsmann 🇪🇪
2017: Valentina Monetta & Jimmie Wilson 🇸🇲
2018: Ari Ólafsson 🇮🇸
2019: Sarah McTernan 🇮🇪
It’s beyond me that you guys didn’t even consider UK 2010 and Spain 2017 as a deserved last place?!
I know we all have different tastes but do you not think those songs were extremely weak at best, regardless of taste?🤨
I absolutely loved stay 🇳🇴 and ghost 🇩🇪 ❤️❤️
Couldn’t not notice that, except from Italy 🇮🇹😍, all the Big Fives were last place at least once (UK and Germany twice 😱). Also Portugal when automatically qualified. This at least sounds to me that the selection process for the automatic qualifiers should be more “seriously” taken into account. Let’s hope the 20’s will be better for the Big Fives!!!
"Looks at France 2020"
Well it’s not that bad to come last but was really underwhelming
Rebecca Woolf very sad to have such a disappointing song from France 🇫🇷😢
Rebecca Woolf yes indeed . Passe par tout!! Great song and more French then France 🇫🇷
Also important to remember Italy has sanremo which Eurovision was based on - so you're right it's all about selection process and the big 4 (before and after Italy) just aren't doing it right
O jardim did not deserve last place, it was really sad because it didn't come last in televote neither in the jurie votes.
Ann Sophie was my favourite in 2015, I love that song! It was a LONG night in Wiener Stadthalle. Most deserving of these last places would be UK 2010, it just didn't sound good to me.
The UK opened and closed the decade with a last place... Nice! 👍🏻
The UK’s 2010 entry deserved last place but their 2019 entry didn’t deserve last place but it wouldn’t have got anything higher than bottom 5
I agree mainly cause I'm slightly biased but I believed it was better than San Marino's entry and Israel too
Thanks. But San Marino and Israel were better
Emily Clinton 100% San Marino’s song was cringe and Israel’s song was beautiful but a bit boring. We were robbed but we didn’t deserve anything higher than on the left side of the leaderboard.
Oliver Tribe I just like San Marino (2nd place don’t be mad), it isn’t for everyone though. Israel was never going to do well because they were the host country. We didn’t deserve anything higher than what Jonida Maliqi got, but last place was an insult. We only got points from two eu countries, Australian viewers didn’t even vote for us. Just to be clear, I don’t blame Brexit for a second but I think some viewers did consider it. Good singer, okay song, terrible staging
@@wystxrr just personal opinion I guess our song wasn't everyone's cup of tea and neither was san Marino or israel but ours definitely did not deserve to be on the left side
Portugal 2018
O Jardim was my 2nd after Viszlát Nyár, but neither of them reached top 20 😢
Switzerland and Portugal 😍❤
LIsts like this shows why music in general and Eurovision in particular creates so much discussions. Because what is a great song for one person might be another persons nightmare. I REALLY REALLY liked Portugals Cláudia Pascoal song and performance, but I can totally see why it didnt connet for so many.
I agree with the French entry...I still have that on my playlist :P
Tooji and Stay was amazing! Totally undeserved last place!
The most incredible thing is that the 2018 last place is better than the 2018 first place
finally someone said it
I remember quite liking Black Smoke. That is probably my favourite last place from last 10 years, def didn't deserve it. Uk 2010 entry was abysmal. Made you lose the will to live, soo cringy.
That Sounds Good To Me is my biggest guilty pleasure. It's so fun, I love it
Germany 2016 and Portugal 2018 was ROBBED. Totally non-deserving last places
Manel Navarro deserved last.
O Jardim is so so so good. Still on my playlist and also loving Claudia's new releases :))
Least Deserved: I am gonna go with O Jardim. Although I didn't like the staging. The song was beautiful.
Honourable Mention: In Love For A While
Most Deserved: Ghost. I am sorry Germany.
Black Smoke is my favourite song, admittedly the staging was dull.
Spain 2017 deserved last place. Awful song.
Lol the three you listed as deserved are literally my 3 favourites from this list, I couldn't disagree more. Also there is not any kind of list where the abomination called Do It For Your Lover shouldn't end in the last place.
O Jardim was my favorite song of 2018, and I'm still salty lol
Ireland didn't deserve it. They were 14th average with televote.
2013 was kinda weird 😅 We need full results xd
How o jairdim got last is beyond me it's so emotionally good and has so much meaning and Germany 2015 have no idea how that happened either a even Germany 2016
I LOVE VIDEOS WITH YOU 2!! With the others wiwiblogers it's not the same vibe! Love you guys from Mexico!!
I actually genuinely liked Ireland and France! Moustache was great 😂 and Ryan's song was really good, I'll never get that last place. Even Norway was OK. UK 2010...well.
I loved o jadim.
Do it for your lover - still on my playlist !
I love six of them!
Coming in last place in ESC grand final doesn't mean the song is bad, at all. It's all relative.
Ghost was my favourite song in 2016. I felt really heartbroken when I saw it end up last :(
💙 you guys!!!
😍😍😛😛
Anna Rossinelli is actually now in the jury of the Voice of Switzerland :)
Spain 2017 definetiley deserved last place.
William, my friend, how could you do Ann Sophie like that! 😜 Black Smoke is one of my favourites of 2015 and the best of these tracks for sure. Worst for me is probably Do It For Your Lover, followed by Ghost or Moustache.
Voice crack - Spain 🇪🇸
I was never happier in my life than when manel finished last 😭💀
Ghost was my favourite for 2016, gutted it ended up last
You guys are so cute
William and Deban’s snippet of Do it for your lover was literally better than the actual song lmaoooooo
omg hahahaha thank you
I'm shook that you would think O Jardim deserved last !!!! It was so delicate, and that was the unique aspect of it ! Totally disagree y'all
I love 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018 , I play most of them more than most . don't understand why people don't like black smoke
What about your favourite non qualifier of the last decade?
Great vid btw!
Anne Sophie was really good! :(
Switzerland 2011, Portugal 2018 should've not been last ...😏
O Jardim is the best song here! And Black Smoke is right behind
Ghost from germany 2016 was my winner...
Black smoke from Germany 2015 was in my top 10..
Twin Twin, for SURE! It may just be one of my most played ESC songs of all time.
I gotta say, though. I really really liked Black Smoke. Still do.
My favourite is Germany 2015
Wow O Jardin didn't deserved to come last at all, I still listen to it! magical song!
Best are stay, ghost and black smoke are On Fire
I really loved O Jardin, Ghost and Only Live Survives. Hated Bigger than Us and Mustache
OMG Ghost was my favourite out of these! I still listen to it all the time. And I liked the staging!
If I have to pick a 2nd place, it would be Black Smoke. There's a lot of contenders for the truly deserved last place, but that has to be Do It for Your Lover. The song itself was bad, the lyrics were repetitive and the singing was awful.
You didnt include tie last places like Austria in 2015, who had a terrific song. And Germany that year (Ann Sophie) had a great song too, how in the world did you rate that below Do It For Your Lover and the UK bombs?
I LOVE Moustache... one of my fav ESC songs ever! Also, Portugal 2018 was robbed. Masterpiece!
Favorite Last Place: Ireland 2013.
Memorable Mention: Germany 2015.
Deserve Last Place: Spain 2017.
Excuuuuuse me by Germany 2016 ''Ghost'' was one of my favorites! Not a dull song at all! The staging was bad though. Ann Sophie had a good song as well. Those totally deserved that last place was UK 2010 and Spain 2017.
UK 2010, my lord I remember that so much hype about the fact that Pete Waterman has a hand in writing it. But come on it was a song you would have heard in Butlins.
Although I still love Norway, it’s on my workout place list still! But the live version was...yeah, no bueno lol.
Also the UK needs to stop picking those song that have that key change in the chorus. We have great singer/song writers...let’s use them!!!
Tom Leeb might join to the group
My Favourite Last Placers are Ann Sophie (i think her Performance in Vienna was a bit awkward but i still like the Song) Anna Rosenelli (Wonderful Piece of Song and so Sweet Performance) Claudia Pascoal O Jardim (Such a beautiful Song with didnt deserved the last Place either) i liked Twin Twin too but i think it was a bit crappy thats why it did came last :D but i still like it
Lol seven of the ten last places were automatic qualifiers
I still can't believe Black Smoke was last and with 0 points.
Ireland was unfairly last place and the two last places of Germany too. Didn't deserve last place.
actually, contrary to what you said, most of them were automatic qualifiers
The best last place: Twin Twin "Moustache" (France)
Most deserved last place: Michael Rice "Bigger Than Us" (United Kingdom)
O Jardim ♥️
Ghost ♥️
Black Smoke ♥️
They deserved so much better...
Josh Dubovie "That Sounds Good To Me" (United Kingdom) Love itt
I still love O Jardim no matter what you say lol. Even though it's hard to sing linguistically (cos I'm Filipino). It's a very sentimental song. In my understanding, the garden is not literal. It's like taking care of the things the person left when he/she passed away... I always hum it when my grandma died last year and my friend (he's only 21!) just this Feb. But yeah, we all have different tastes.
My favourite last place is UK 2019🇬🇧
I think Troji really didn't deserve last place and to me Michael Rice deserved it. Not because of him but because of the song.
