@BanditGaming479 Damn straight and as diehard lion king fan myself I ain't gonna watch this trashfire at all and I guarantee you to NOT go and look at it. Mufasa LITERALLY means king guys. Not a drop of nobility my ass. They completely forgot their own show lion guard and the long line of lion kings and queens. Or the fact that Scar was the leader of the guard at one point before he turned evil.
Sounds like cultural appropriation by changing the meaning of his name
@skits_3d824 To be fair the lion guard was poorly made for toddlers for Disney junior and not the diehard lion king fans like myself and while the characters from it were new and interesting including kion, The show didn't make sense and unlike the whole series that is based on characters and content from the late William shakespeare, that show doesn't have any of that and was clearly a thing without it not to mention some of the other well-know characters including Banzai, Shenzi and Ed and Simba's mother Sarabi were cut out and Simba himself and his daughter Kiara were butchered and flanderized in the show with the show itself was underperforming and doesn't have enough ratings due to its viewership had declined according to reddit and contains many inconsistencies, plot holes and zoology errors that Disney NEVER fixed despite that the guy Ford Riley the showrunner behind it said his show is a prequel to Lion King 2 trying to make it canon and compared to the lion king franchise’s tv show Timon and Pumba (1995 - 1999) that 100% worked as canon as an interquel and succeeded with a great 4 season run with 85 episodes premiered on Toon Disney and Disney Channel as I was growing up thanks to showrunners behind that cult show Bobs Gannaway and Tony Craig, this one as the second TLK-related television series with 3 and 74 episodes had failed. Also unlike Timon and Pumba with that show's animation quality and designs that are done well by rough draft studios, sunwoo entertainment, toon city and wang film productions (The studio that did the animation for the 1994 original lion king film) that are great and incredible, this one was decently yet also poorly animated by mercury filmworks with their animation quality and designs are kinda weak. Not to mention that Rob Lowe was miscast as Simba in the lion guard compared to Matthew Broderick, Cam Clarke and lion king fan himself singer, actor and rapper Childish Gambino (Donald Glover).

The fans have spoken, and Disney still isn't listening... soooo par for the subterranean course... chudds.
They can try to hide it but it’s not going to help and is akin to burying your head in the sand.
Disney has had so few new ideas that they have been lampooned over it. For a company who’s cornerstone was once creativity - the constant remakes, “re-imaginings”, and virtue signaling has OBVIOUSLY damaged their brand.
If they want to repair their brand, fandom, and grow subscribers - the world is NOT lacking stories, and ones from virtually every culture. Why not try that, or create something new?!?
It's a shame. They CAN do it. Disney did it with the movie Wreck-It-Ralph. I brand new concept, a brand new world, and the wow factor was off the charts. But, Disney being Disney, they destroyed the original movie with Wreck-It-Ralph 2. They destroyed Tron with Tron Legacy. They are now destroying Snow White with Snow Not-So-White and the Seven Whatevers. Disney is hopelessly addicted to woke, and they can't stop.
What’s hilarious is that even ChatGPT knows how to fix the Disney Company. I asked it one day. And the first thing it said was to “reconnect core values” among other things. But there’s a reason why it’s been called the *Walt* *Disney* Company for all this time. Walt Disney, love him or hate him, was a creative genius. And they’re throwing all of that down the literal garbage disposal.
And then Mufasa pulled out the Sword and shouted, "THUNDER! THUNDER! THUNDERCATS, HOOOOOO!!!"
If Disney focused on making good movies instead of putting out propaganda, people wouldn’t be as upset with them. People miss classic Disney.

why do they keep calling this live action. its 100% CGI. and its not like there are humans/real animals mixed with CGI as most live actions are, this is 100% CGI.
Mufasa- The Lying King
It's no surprise it's what Disney does wonder when the empty cinemas will get post and the false ticket sales start
Honestly, if they wanted to stay with the original idea of Lion King, this movie should have been based on a Shakespeare classic. Lion King 1 was Hamlet, Lion King 2 was Romeo and Juliet. The prequel could maybe take some ideas from Macbeth (imagine Mufasa going to visit 3 magical hyenas, and they warn him about his eventual death), or Midsummer's Night Dream (although I never studied the play, so I have no idea what it's about)
I'd see that. Only instead of magical hyenas, he meets three mystic baboons.
The thing is that The Lion King can be the saga it needs to be allowing at least one more 2D animated sequel basing itself on King Lear this time as Simba grows older while we can still get live action versions of Simba’s Pride and more!
@@ladisneyprincesse there was actually a deleted scene from the original Lion King, where Scar talks to Simba's mom after he takes over the pride, and he acts in a pretty mad way (madder than usual), possibly referencing King Lear
What Shakespeare Story will they use for the Prequel?
@@conradojavier7547 Honestly? I couldn't say. I learned Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet in school, and I only have an idea of the stories of Macbeth, The Tempest and Midsummer's night dream. But again, the creatives should be the ones thinking how to keep the pattern of the movies, so they should come up with the ideas
Disney keeps remaking all their old movies because internal studies have shown that gen-z and beyond have no idea who half the Disney characters even are anymore.
So it has a dual purpose:
1) To make sure all their IP doesn't lose value over time due to less exposure to the current generation of kids. Gotta keep the IP alive in today's youth, those are your future parents, your future Disney World guests.
2) Avoiding additional IP from entering public domain. (As they did by remaking Mickey's old style, into a brand new style in Mickey's Runaway Railway to retcon the 'old style' as this new style that isn't technically in the public domain)
This is pretty obvious, not sure why no one has picked up on this yet.
Yes, but they need *new* IP to bring in *new* audiences. If a third of the movies were recycling old IP, we wouldn't be so up in arms. But Deadpool 3, SnowWhite 2: So Much Darker and not Marriage worthy, Inside Out: Making fun of Gingers, Little Mermaid: Erasing the inventors of the story... Yea, not working for me.
Oh one new, Wish: Make the Good Father a Villian, Because. Their only New IP was a steaming hot pile.
@@External2737 Oh, I agree with you 100%. I also think they need new IP. I'm just saying 'why' they are doing what they are doing, since people and videos keep asking 'why do they keep doing this'. They are terrified of losing value in their original IP, so much so that they are giving remakes priority over new IP.

Thundercats 2011 basically used a similar backstory for Liono and Tigra where they became brothers. After Liono's mother died from childbirth, Tigra started became resentful of Liono and the favortism he receives for being the biological son and gets into sibling rivarly with him.
Say what you will about the 2011 series, but at least Tigra was given a better reason to become resentful of his new brother compared to Scar. So how can Scar's parents reject their OWN biological son from becoming next in line over a random cub they found??? Disney is so stupid.

Hiding comments is a sign that they don't want to hear any form of criticism. They just want praise, but that's not going to happen if they keep putting out garbage.
I remember reading the comments of people roasting the trailer and posting one of my own stating the like to dislike ratio. I noticed just 3 days later that the comments had been turned off and knew Disney was trying desperately to cover up the disapproval XD
