Again, just don't watch it, no matter how much you want to hate-watch it. Stick with the better era of Docto Who.
Hate watching doesn’t exist.
@Ashkihyena Yes, it does. It means you watch it to poke fun of it.
@@wesmcinerny4524I disagree, if you watch something to make fun of it they still count you as a viewer so hate love doesn't matter. If you want to watch something to poke fun at it and you really do hate it I recommend sailing the seven seas. That way they can't count you as a viewer.

Dear BBC,
Everyone binge watched Clarkson's Farm the moment it dropped.
Just sayin.
Indeed.
I've been meaning to watch it for a while so we added it to our Sunday Dinner experience last night.
I can't understand wanting to watch such trash... but if the only other thing on at the time is the new Doctor Who. I would expect people to just put on a movie instead.
Because watching Jezza is fun, watching modern Who is painful.
And I don't even like Jeremy, but that show is just sooo good.
Many, many more people watch Clownfish TV than Doctor Who in its current state.
And that's hilarious when you think about it.
As much as I like to dunk on it, isn't that just plainly false? The most popular clownfish video ever got 600k views, whereas this slop got 2 million. That's 4 times the viewership.

These two are undercover lefties. I don’t have a problem with that but they ride the fence a lot and always qualify every criticism.
Yeah Idk what the he'll he's talking bout they were all bad. I refuse to watch anymore cuz I don't wanna help the ratings and obviously its beyond awful.

Not only that, the Doctor kisses a fleshlight despite knowing it is made out of a human corpse.
They do not need fans? They should never be surprised when no one came to watch the show. They get what they deserve.
The British propaganda program is now on a streaming service that has never turned a profit. They don't know how to care about their audience.

The doctor would try and disarm the mine with the sonic screw driver.

You'd think they'd learn by now. It's getting tiring at this point. Producers make stupid decision, berate viewers and tell them to leave, cries about tanking viewership, and berates the people they told to leave for leaving.
I just...I just can't make myself care. It's not even funny anymore.
Look...this is how this works: make the show you want to make. The people who like it will watch it, and the ones that don't won't. There's is **no** reason to try and guilt the people who don't want to watch it into trying to watch it.
Just accept the viewers you have and stop the shit-talk.
I've found myself struggling to even get through videos making fun of it, to be honest. Not videos like this one, I find the look at how media corporations work interesting from a business perspective, but the ones going through the plot and casting and whatever and why it's cringe... nah. Praise from critics does not equal to success. But these snobby out of touch critics/journalists believe they're the taste makers. The fans make or break them and they've forgotten that. Their egos need to be deflated.
Critics are also terrified of NOT praising the progressive side. If you work as a reviewer or critic for a mainstream outlet, and you call this show out for the dumpsterfire that it is, chances are you will get fired and also harassed by the progressive cult that worships this garbage.

So, my daughter has been watching “The Sign” (the big Bluey season finale) nearly on repeat for a few days now. I pulled it up on Disney+ to watch with her yesterday. The minute D+ boots up, there’s a big old banner with Dumpster Who front and center, proclaiming a brand new episode. And I just scrolled on past it to watch the heartwarming shenanigans of a cartoon dog family that I’ve watched dozens of times by now, but I’m still enjoying.
A half decade or so ago, I would have fought my kids for the TV so I could watch brand new Who. But between the drop in quality, the preachy writing, and the creators and actors thinking they’re entitled to my time and attention just because they slapped the “Doctor Who” logo on a sci-fi knock-off of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” - well, you’ve got the numbers right there. Clearly, I’m not the only one sick of this shit.
Well said! 👏
Holly: "Oh it had a two in it but it wasn't two million." Rimmer: "How many then?" Holly: "Two."
Red Dwarf, great example, brilliantly written diverse cast, no one complained...
They told us to not watch it if we didn't like it... so we are doing what they requested. No wrong here! Hahaha

Wait, wait... I thought that Viewers were going to Quadruple for all the "representation" they were bringing to the table? Isn't that what one of the actors said? That Fans were just going to multiply like crazy? Huh... I wonder where they went? Odd...
Wasn't it for every bigot that left they'd gain 3-5 people? Good news, there's pretty much no bigots, just a whole bunch of regular people who are not interested.
Maybe all the "thems" count as multiple viewers after all?
The "culture war" has made it appear that there are way way more people in those demographics than there actually is. Literally every single one of them in the country could watch and they wouldn't make up for the people that have stopped watching.
"Ratings don't matter." It's truly fascinating how these "journalists" have no integrity whatsoever, and they're not even fazed by it. Imagine insulting your readership's intelligence like this, and then telling yourself you're a good writer. It's laughable.
Modern iterations of our beloved IPs have beaten the love of them out of us. Star Trek, Star Wars, Indian Jones, Willow, The Witcher, etc., and now (well since Chinball) Doctor Who.
Add James Bond and Tomb Raider to that list. I hate Phoebe Waller-Bridge with a passion. She has ruined 2 (soon to be 3) of my favourite franchises.
The Dogless Scooby remake.
I wouldn't even trust those 2.4 million viewers. It is likely in the hundred thousands at most for the 2nd and 3rd episodes.
Most of that are probably youtubers and hatewatchers turning it on for shits and giggles
That 2.4 million is just a statistical extrapolation from the paid sample population.
@@Ubu987 it would be interesting to know if their sample consisted largely of people in London and Radio Times viewers...

1:40 - Also, fans didn't mistake it as "woke" and "unwatchable." The series' lead actor literally talked about how the Doctor is gay and that people who don't like it don't need to watch it.

My 30 year old daughter grew up on Disney, had all the dolls, toys, and so on. She lived and breathed Disney.
Her 4 year old daughter knows absolutely nothing about Disney, because she watches kid shows on CZcams prime and Netflix.
If my daughter, who used to be a Disney freak has given up on Disney and gone down that route, I don’t see how Disney plus has enough pull to help Doctor Who become famous and well liked.
I’m just not seeing it.
Yep. And Disney hasn't figured out that by appealing to today's 'modern audience' they are sacrificing tomorrow's audience. Because that little girl won't grow up to buy Disney stuff and she won't cause her kids to do so either.
I raised 2 girls on Disney. They buy anime now. Imagine that's not rare.
@@OhNoTwist I believe Disney and friends know what they are doing. If it all tanks, it's super cheap property for billionaires. They haven't cared for a decade... Or more.
My kids were interested in Frozen 1, Inside Out and a few other 2010's Disney movies and franchises a few years after they were made but after that era they haven't been interested in Disney one bit. They're still in the age range where they should care but they just don't. Except for that Elsa phase a few years back they didn't even want any of the toys. They'd rather make their own toys than get Disney crap from the store. I'm actually quite proud.
Disney was awesome for that generation. Little Mermaid. Beauty and the Beast. Aladdin. Pocahontas. Now Disney is the complete opposite of what they were.
@@OhNoTwist So accurate! They will win over some new youths who may try to get their friends into it. But for companies like Disney, it's always been a family affair.
Conservative parents won't let their kids watch things that don't align with their values. And conservatives are the main ones still into family and having kids and sharing their childhood with them. More and more liberals are making a point of not having kids.
So it feels like, at this point, Disney is banking on Disney adults with disposable incomes paying the bills. Which is why they don't care how pricey parks have become.

Note from the UK: The Radio Times is basically the BBC in-house magazine. They are always going to be rampantly positive about anything the BBC puts out. I don’t think it is actually owned by the BBC anymore, but it was when I was a child.
The RT went completely bonkers woke years ago. Back when Jodie was "installed" they basically told everyone on their forums that if they didn't like it, they could leave. So I did. As far as I'm concerned the RT is part of the problem.
Remember when the radio times only covered the BBC channels and then you needed the TV times for 3 & 4, crazy...
If FEWER people watch a show but the BUDGET is HIGHER, then there is a REAL problem. "But it's got TWO SEASONS!!!" Yeah, but a season is only 8 episodes, lol. 16 episodes and no viewership equals CANCELLATION in anyone's book.
Not a Dr Who fan. If the ratings continue this direction how long before it gets canceled? UK is different and doesnt care about ratings yes?
I was wondering too if the BBC cares about ratings. Don’t they handle cancellations different than we do in the States?
Come to think about it, Disney controls whether the show exists or not now, that they own it right?
How does all that work?
The BBC is run by idealogues and they would rather run the entire network into the ground before they admit they were wrong. As it all burns to the ground around their feet they would still stand in the cinders telling us all that we are wrong for not loving this crap.
@@blockmasterscott my guess is the show runners and staff are scamming Disney. Don't put effort and pocket the money but make the show so diverse and inclusive that is basically impossible to cancel.
If I remember correctly, then season 2 is already filming as they don’t wait for the current season to be released. So they could cancel season 3 earliest. But the BBC could „cancel“ it differently by i.e. moving it to a different time spot.
Another series The Paradise, about a Victorian department store was cancelled when it had 5.2 million viewers. If they continue to show Doctor Who when it drops below 2 million then something funny is going on.

High viewership is important. Let’s make it easy for the mouth breeders who say ratings don’t matter. High viewership tells companies a ton of people are looking at a product, those companies in turn goes to the studios and requests to buy ad spots for commercial breaks/product placement etc. The higher the viewership and ratings means it’s a sellers market and the studios can charge an arm and a leg for those endorsements/spots. The specials and xmas only had 300k extra iPlayer viewers. also...I hate it when they call me a conservative for hating shit tv 😖
If they wanted a black and gay doctor who, but kept the writing ant plot on the level present when David Tennant and other prior actions were the doctor, then the show still be very popular. The issue is they can't do the DEI checkboxes without having all things like a good plot and writing take a back seat to pushing woke current day partison politics.
I wasn't impressed with the Doctor having a romantic interest in the first place, that kind of thing is for soap operas and romantic comedies.
I also didn't care about what the actor did in the privacy of their bedroom, as long as it didn't involve children or animals.
Two of our finest actors are Derek Jacobi and Ian McKellan.
The problem is that they wanted a black and gay doctor because they're putting an ideology that rejects good story telling front and centre.
If they happened to cast a gay and black actor because that person happened to be the best that would be a different matter entirely.
This is just what happens when you put the cart before the horses.
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion, the three horsemen of the entertainment apocalypse.
All I can say is that the black woman guest Doctor from Whittaker's run felt more like The Doctor than she did, and far more than Gatwa.
Breaks my heart. 3 decades as a fan and they ruin it
I recently visited a few Dr Who yt channels that are enjoying the new stuff and the delusion is real lmao
more than just delusion, there is also cope
There was one saying "I live the knew master! You can really tell they're the master because you can hear the hate in their voice, such good acting!"
I'm over here like, did we just watch the same clip? That was ass covered ass. The only emotion was ass and mediocre acting at best. I just do not get it, they must be fake reviews
Nurse What?
The ratings are confusing.
In it that other shows would get cancelled if they were even half as low.
It being kept on due to spite is going to be very shocking.
Keep in mind the Timeless Children was already at the 3M mark The Christmas special with Tenet was almost quadruple that.
Why are they keeping this ahow on the air?
I'd be amazed if Disney commit to more than the 2 seasons unless they're insane (which they have been) or without demanding changes
The Kathleen Kennedy School of rebooting fails again
Numbers are down. Disney pays obscure websites to write articles for the. This is standard for them.
Well, when your cast and show runner pull a Ghostbusters 2016 and tell their viewers to "go away", then they get what they wanted, and the viewers went away..........i mean RTD had one job to do, take that timeless child bs outside and burn it, but he has decided to double down on it, so here comes his just reward......so enjoy.
They said it was not for me. So I did not watch. Rather watch paint dry than watch this.
Maybe if they had said something like “this may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you never know, you might like it. Yes, we’re trying something new. But the Doctor has never been confined to a box.” They would have gotten more viewers than being sassy crass and telling us to go touch grass,
To no one's surprise except the trash fan media which will probably be gone in possibly a year or less. There. I saved you 22 or so minutes.
