The GLB is such a unique SUV. Small but spacious. Boxy, yet svelte. More like a modern, fun, practical G-wagon, than anything. Will be on our short list for sure.
Stop lying, it’s not spacious at all. Maybe if you’re like 5’5 feet tall it’s spacious but either than that it’s made for a tiny lady.

You guys actually SHOULD give awards for online configurators. They're so widely utilized by the public, and a good or bad one can sometimes make or break a sale.
It's called the GLB because it shares it's transverse platform with the "A" cars (and the B-class which we don't get in Canada anymore). The GLC is in fact slightly larger in every major exterior dimension. And while it's not really fair to call it a baby G-Wagen, it does resemble a mini GLS.
Bought my 2021 GLB 250 with some upgrades for 44k US out the door, nothing comparable at this price point, great review.
This car just like the GLK is like driving a lighthouse. You sit high up in the car with windows that are also very high. The vision you have is off the charts ...you see everything.
I bought this just a month ago and it does everything so well! One word! Love!!

This car is actually pretty cool. Boxy and very practical. You’ll have tons of space with this as a 5 seater, more than a glc
01:22 Correction: The GL stands for (Geländewagen Luxus) and it means like off-road with luxury. Now make it derived from a Mercedes C-Class is what brings the GLC cause it has some features of the C-Class. GLB has exterior features of the B-Class and so on. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

Buying a used one and I agree with the seats being a bit hard- but having owned a dozen German cars over time and over longer trips they somehow get more comfortable- hard to describe- but its boxy "old school" and I do love the MMI- Total winner used in the 32-33 k range with
Honestly, I think MB knocked this one out of the park. Pricing is good, quality is there, this checks pretty much every box for most people, and it looks good.

@@unoriginalusername3292 It’s seems to be one of the most reliable models from what I read. Of course with some outliers, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one.
@@ShiftersAndLifters a lot of the Benz SUVs from 2009 - 2014/5 have held up really well. GLS is the only one that has problems from what I've seen. 2011 ML350 4matic is still holding up great at 135k miles

I had the exact same thought. I like the idea of different awards like "best seats", "best lane keep", "best sound system", "best configurator", etc.
I kind of like it! Reminds me of the Volvo XC40. I could definitely do without the 3rd row of seats though. Not a huge Benz/SUV guy but I feel like they did a good job on this.
Im not the biggest merc fan but i loved this when I first saw it. I also really like the styling of the GLK. Perhaps this will be my first mercedes :D
I drove this car for the last 4 days while my c300 was getting serviced. I feel in love with this car, the torque is insane. The exhaust noises are crazy in sport mode. Really enjoyed it, very smooth as well

All roof racks howl. I fix that by tightly wrapping 550 paracord around the bars across its full width. Space each wrap about 1in apart.
My dad said the exhaust tips look like a larger version of a USB C 😂😂😂

The 3gen RAV4 had a factory roof rack that whistled if the bards were installed backwards. They had an aerodynamic cross-section for fuel economy.

I'm curious, since you JUST did the Sorento video and seemed to really like it's power, would you say it felt better drivewise? On paper at least.. the HP and torque was a good bit higher. You seemed to look really happy when you were accelerating in this one?

If I ordered a new G I’ll be at my local Mercedes dealer today it would take six months to get it built and into the dealer because they’re in such high demand also if you’re wondering the E class would only take two months (ireland)

Purchased a 2021 GLB 4matic for $528 a month. First months due, plates and origination paid out the door. ;)
Looking at the lengths of the GLB and GLC, they seem to both be about 183". The GLB is part of the A class of vehicles and rides on the same platform as the GLA, A, & CLA. So it would never be labeled higher than the C class of vehicles even if it may be slightly longer. And there is a GLB45(over 400hp), but I don't think NA is getting them, just the 35.
u guys should review the new B-Class (assuming it comes back here in canada)

Australian dollar is the same as Canadian dollar and yet the GLB 200 starts at $65,800 here. There is also the GLB250 4 matic starts at $80,000 and the AMB GLB 35 4 matic starts at $95,500.
Oh how I miss the good ole B Class...I was a real fan of that one...not sure what I'll get when the time comes to replace my 2019. This does intrigue me though.

There are two wow factors. The tech, WOW! and the no spare, WOW, you’ve got to be kidding!
Seriously considered this at one point, it does feel very peppy and fun to drive. But for a premium mini SUV it’s 10 grand more than a Mini Countryman and it’s not 10 grand better. It’s also a Mercedes built in Mexico in a Nissan factory, so lease only.

I don't really get the AMG-line looks on this, I feel the more rugged styling and more substantial wheels suit this much better than these spindly thin spoke AMG-line wheels and the foglamps suit it more than the fake ventery in the front too.

Let me tell y’all, my mom got this car pretty much optioned the same way in the video except for it being black and no roof rack. It was not 42, it was 53k. And we’re in the states, specifically California
Also that 3rd row is not usable at all. But the AMG package on this car makes it look so good

Hi! It seems to me you forgot to mention something (e.g. performance) about the dual-clutch transmission in the GLB (not common in Mercedes).
Why does it have one black parking sensor in the front that appears to not have been painted body color like the rest?

Does it bother anyone else when you can still see the exterior paint color on the inside of the door when the door is closed? I'm not talking about when it's part of the design, but how it is on the GLB and on some cheap cars?
This Benz looks really great, I like the styling a lot. Would say it looks more like a mini GLS than a G though
That whistle is not the roofrack, its part of the Aston Martin Vulcan option pack..
1:20 It's shorter and narrower than GLC. yes, it's higher by 2cm because of the boxy design.
I saw one of these in person in that deep red color and all black accents, it really looked fantastic.
