‪@mbusa‬ certainly has a lot of SUV's to choose from for Americans. For years, the GLC has been the best-selling model and while that is still true today, for 2020, a new entry level #MercedesBenzGLB is an even cheaper and more spacious option over the GLC. It rides on the same A-class architecture and the #GLB250 comes standard with a 221 HP 2.0T engine for about $6k less than a GLC. Look for an AMG #GLB35 to come later this year.

Nick R I have been a big fan of Sofyan and his reviews till recently. He has become a bougie diva complaining about options and moaning on incessantly about how everything is not up to his standards. I miss the days when he would talk about what the car had vs what it doesn't.
I wish he would go back to reviewing cars and telling us the things we want to know about them. I'm so sick him of carrying on about how he wants all the top end options and how they are better. All this diva stuff is getting old, I imagine the manufacturers are getting tired of it, too.

Lot of hate for this thing. 99% commenting never drove it. It's faster and handles better than you think. Didn't want to like it over some other competitors, but overall it ticked all the boxes for us and it really is a good vehicle. Not a MB fanboy either. 1st MB I've owned. Had Mazda's, Audi's, Nissan, Honda's among others. Wanted to wait for 35 but didn't have time on my side. Also weighed the extra $10k for about 1 second 0-60 w/ a launch control that will never be used. Also fear of a stiff ride w/ a my worsening back, but if someone does go for it I'm sure they will and others who ride with in it will be pleasantly surprised.

Great family car that handles well and is comfy on longer rides. Loved the old school simple look and glad that there are so many choices in this segment.

Well said. It is a good car that actually has a good value as a daily drive - to bad you can not try the 220d variant we have en Europe. That 2-liter 400NM 190 hp diesel engine makes the car shine: 7,7 sec to 60 and 50 mpg with very impressive acceleration when you want to overtake.
It is our second Mercedes and we are very happy with it.

The one thing I don't like about the new Mercedes compact cars are the interior door handles and window switches. Like you see here in the GLB, when you pull on them they creak a bit whereas the previous gen GLA and CLA strangely didn't. Also, the window switches don't feel nice whereas the last gen compact cars had the same switches used in the E Class for example. So it's very strange especially when those are the most used touch points.

You Probably already decided, but I picked this myself over a GLA for a family of 3 as well. The Cargo area is huge by comparison, and if you can carry a lot of stuff (road/beach trip) you will be happy to have all that extra cargo space that the GLB provides.

Base price (where they start before any or all the options): GLA is $36,230 and GLB is $36,600 (according to mbusa.com). So, yeah, only $370 different. All the options will cost basically the same between the two. It comes down to looks and size for what each person wants. I imagine the GLA will drive a little nicer being smaller and lighter.
