OpenAI should be crediting/paying the content creators for using their videos in their training data, not CZcams. Google isn't out there writing, filming, and editing the videos that OpenAI is using to train their advanced AI. Google simply hosts that data, mostly due to their de-facto monopoly on internet videos. Am I crazy for thinking this?
No, you aren't crazy at all. But Google has a vested interest in it. Follow the money trail, y'know? They just split up their interests into separate faces so they don't get rammed for being the monopoly they are.
Not crazy, but, OpenAI shouldn’t be paying at all.
Not crazy but Google has a "monopoly" because no one else has the money to sink into a YT style site. The site hasn't turned a profit since forever.
Good luck proving in a lawsuit that your content has been used in the training. And even if you can prove that, what is the value of damage?
Yeah, no. If you don't want your video used, set it to private or put it behind a pay wall. Anything freely open to see is fair game as far I see.
GSKILL Trident Z user here, can confirm the same burn was left on my Gigabyte 5700XT
that's absolutely crazy to me, why does it emit all that UV?
@@IsaacPoopsAlot To archieve high CRI you kind of need that extra UV, but that makes those colors pop more.
Idk, i have tridentz neo, 0 burn on my xfx 6800xt. Maybe the xfx has better uv resistant paint. Or the colors i set my rgb too arent the right wave lengths (usually blue or white).
My company is working on a project where Intel and AMD GPUs are almost exclusively used for ML / AI as well as various types of data processing. In some workloads they exceed NVidia's equivalent cards' performance at a significantly lower cost. Intel and AMD's software teams have done some amazing stuff during the past year and a half with the Level Zero / XPU (Intel) and ROCm (AMD) platforms.
I can only imagine how the Leather Jacket Cult is feeling about all of that...
AMD gpu's are nowhere near going to compete with Nvidia cards in AI unless you do a HELL of a lot of modifying just to make them compete....
@@anthonylong5870 My whole point is that better support and optimizations for libraries and frameworks like PyTorch and TF are something Intel and AMD are heavily investing in, and their hardware is definitely competitive in terms of raw compute power, so it's a matter of time the playing field equalizes in terms of applications / integration capabilities.
like those tiny box?
@@arenzricodexd4409 WDYM? The small AI-accelerated devices / edge computing?
@@anthonylong5870 The raw compute power is already there... Intel and AMD need to keep investing in the software and play their cards right in front of the consumers, which they are already doing. Example: Check Level 1 Tech's video on Intel's desktop virtualization. This is how you scores Ws with the customers!
Corporations should own nothing and be happy. Sounds fun?
Well corporations are technically people so y'know.
I don't want to "um actually", but I think this point is important to make. Corporations aren't technically people. That's a misconception of corporate personhood. Corporate personhood is a legal notion that lets the corporation be legally and financially treated as separate from the shareholders who own it. That allows shareholders to not be responsible for any part of the corporation except making money from it.
That doesn't mean corporations have the same legal rights as an actual person. For instance, a corporation's free speech is severely limited compared to you and I. Corporate shareholders (corporations aren't actually the ones making the money) unironically rely on the misconception that corporations have full legal personhood comparable to an actual person to set narratives and control opinion about corporate law and regulation. The entire argument for "free market" capitalism pretty much relies on this false equivalency between business and people.
If corporations were "technically" people, they'd have all the same legal rights under the law. Corporations have limited legal personhood. That is a very important distinction. Without it, you get "You'll own nothing and be happy" have to be defeated as a matter of civil law. I hope this was more informative than annoying.

AMDs ROCm is about the most exciting thing happening in the GPU world ATM. I say that as an Nvidia user by necessity, requiring CUDA for all the deep learnings. If AMD could get anywhere near Nvidia's CUDA performance and ease of use while offering more VRAM, much of the "consumer grade AI" world might be tempted to shift to team red.
I've had Trident Z RGB RAM in my main system for about 4 years at this point. The 1080 Ti I removed last year for a 3080 Ti does not have burn marks on the backplate and the system is generally running 24x7. Granted, the GPU was vertically mounted, and perhaps it helped prevent that, or maybe the colors I'm using aren't emitting the right wavelength of UV light to cause this.
You sent my mind way back mentioning the Samsung Ark review! That's actually how I found your channel. I was in the market for a TV as a monitor solution which of course the Ark came into conversation. However, your review helped inform me that I was setting myself up for more problems than benefits. Been rocking an LG C2 for over a year now and avoided the Ark thanks to your review.
I once saw a documentary about a large health study in Europe about the transmissibility of common cold viruses. Bottomline, if the virus was on a person's finger, and that finger touched a nasal passage or tear duct, that person would become infected (7:25). With that knowledge, I became aware of face-touching and have seen a radical reduction of illness. I am especially cautious when around other sick people, like when visiting a hospital.

Talking about UV lights. A lot of people used to run those tubes with the small converter since around 2000... so don't know how GPU manufacturers did not know of this.
My new build has 0 rgb except for the gpu, but I am shutting it off through the software.
I was cleaning my pc yesterday and took my gpu out, i have that exact msi 3080 and also use trident z ram.
I thought it was some kind of think the dust did somehow, that explains it then.
I use low profile, non-rgb ram exclusively. You never know when it will need to be shuffled into a tight fitting itx build. Most of my pc parts are default black or noctua brown. 🤷🏻♂️
_"UV light from RGB RAM sticks might cause discoloration on your GPU backplate"_

Note about youtube licensing. As content creator, you can have a very open license for the use of your videos. You could set CC-BY or CZcams Standard License. (They are removing the feature, but that's besides the point). The issue here is that I believe both licenses (and many other explicit licenses) allow to reuse, so long you keep attribution of it. The issue here is that how you can claim violation of, ie.UFD Tech copyright/license, if their usage is opaque. How can you identify license violations without some kind of discovery?
Saw some old reddit post for the GPU backplate discoloration, it's called bronzing and it has to do something about anodizing from the heat the LED's give out
LEDs give off heat?
LED's are famously not hot while GPU's are famously hot. If it was heat how isn't the entire GPU seeing this discoloration? How can a GPU be too hot to touch while under load, but LED's on any component not?
I don't know the science behind that claim, but common sense says nah
@@102728 There are cases where the whole GPU around the GPU die was severely discolored as well, a short google about "GPU bronzing", if you want some more direct evidence, try googling "GPU backplate is changing color but it is not overheating" there is a post on Tom's Hardware forum.
Also the backplate is on the other side of where the heat source is, and is separeted by an air gap. Think of a fire on one side of a wall, it will take some time for the fire to reach the other side of the wall
also the fire has a massive heatsink and an air cooler to make the fire not as hot and under control.
I use G Skill rgb ram and it has never been an issue. No burn in on my GPU or anything else.
The Blue color gives off UV, you can see it make dayglow colors glow.
My EVGA 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra is not showing any burn marks from the RGB. Is it a manufacturer problem from MSI and the others whom are not EVGA?
Been using Trident Z RGB ram since 2016 with no issues. I wonder if the exact color matters. I go for white, blue or red. No issues.
I have got 4 sticks of G.SKILL Trident Z in my system too, but jokes on you RGB burn in since I vertically mount my 1080Ti, so no direct shine on my backplate. No problem 😜
Isn't the cache directly related to IPC? Like if you have 2 identical CPU's running at the same frequency, but give one more cache, then it can potentially do more calculations per cycle.
I kept stopping that build video and showing family members. "Hey,look , this guy is a disaster! I like him but won't let him near a build!" I do like the guy, tho. He makes me feel good about my mistakes.
The problem with both AMD and Intel is their core wars have reached a point where if you aren't slamming the living 💩 out of your PC are you REALLY going to notice a difference worth spending money on? I built 2 PCs for friends as well as upgraded my own so I got to set up a R5 3600, a 7700X, and my own 5700x and honestly I couldn't tell any difference setting them up a playing a few Steam games.
In the old days it was easy to feel the difference between say a 2GHz and 3GHz chip but nowadays the amount of cores and threads have gotten so huge that in a blind A/B test I seriously doubt anybody would be able to tell a difference, the chips for at least 3 generations now have been so insanely OP compared to workloads most folks have its kind of nuts.
4680 is over 5x the size, so machines making them can make them more efficiently.
They also supposedly allow more juice in same size & weight.
The issue is that Tesla did not fill the free space with more range, but used better battery to spend less each car they sell. Original was about 620kg, now they are ~400kg.
that's a lot of pricey lithium (maybe 20kg? each module) that does not go to costs, while offering the same performance.
6 mins since updload. I'm in! Go on dude!
so now what? do i have to put sunblock to my gpu?
I quite like your shirt today, does anyone know where I can find it?
I mean, I can't argue with the moon time being related to tech when Y2K happened
I sold my 3070 Ti, and when I did, it had discoloration on it and I could not figure out why. Given where on the card it was located, this makes sense. This is wild to know that it's something that could happen.
I excited for the new AMD cards to show up so I can get a 6700XT for very cheap
I have that issue on 1660 super before

So great we can finally get Soylent that’s “absolutely not made of people “
Just what we’ve been waiting for.
So we're finally gonna get Johnny Cab from Total Recall?
I dont see it in my system and I have that ram over a Zotac 3060ti
Tokyo Xtreme Racer on my iPad Pro....Yes!!!!!!!!!
Always hated the juvenile RGB trend that makes it harder to find good hardware components if you don't want any RGB.
I'm old and I love RGB. I keep it at a single color for contrast with my coolant color and use it so I can keep track of my open loop fittings, etc. for leaks and also for dust build up without needing a flashlight. Also, why look for non RGB hardware when they are easily turned off?
@@user-gr5lh6cs8o They aren't all easily turned off. Take the ASUS TUF RX 7800 XT (& their other GPUs), for example. You have to download & install an invasive ASUS bloatware bundle bordering on malware to get the app that turns off the RGB on the GPU.
What I find most hilarious about Soylent is that the creator started the company because he thought eating was a hassle and wasted time😂
This is true
As a dude who own full on rgb pc. (Not cables rgb tho). I doesn’t really afraid of burn mark. Because 99% i turned it off unless i feel like turn it on
RGB is eyecancer. I dislike having to go into 3 different programs to turn off all the lights.
I bought some G-skill ddr4 and got a couple sticks that could only go up to 2999mhz lol
There are no terms of service for embedded videos, as one example. Published is published.

I actually have the same trident z ram, that tint looks cool, tho I have turned the rgb off since the beginning, I got a 2070s should I do it?😂
Kyler doesn't have to activate Windows. My PC is unactivated, I don't need any features that activation would give, and I spent enough on my 7600x and 3090, don't wanna spend any more
And yes I know where to get windows for less than 10 bucks. I just don't want to

Is it really a RGB burn - looks to me like it's a reflection seeing how the RGB is turned on in these images.
Thanks for this well done video.
Lets be honest rgb is just for show, it just comes with an extra load of negatives associated with it, such as this for example or extra problems to trouble shoot, extra cables, extra power draw. Im glad i went with a very minimal rgb build
This was funny. All this " it just comes with an extra load of negatives associated with it, such as this for example or extra problems to trouble shoot, extra cables, extra power draw" and then this " Im glad i went with a very minimal rgb build"
@@Odder-Being even with minimal RGB I still had problems with RGB, such as my ram RGB tweaking out for no reason even after doing everything I could it still was the same until I found the most bs fix and just had to make a second rgb profile play around and that fixed it. Total bs
The simple solution to issues with public-domain information being used for corporate proft should be that it's not legal to make money off of something that's public domain. You shouldn't be able to copyright any derivative work based on public domain information. It should be that simple. So openAI should be forced back *open*. As far as RDNA4 coming in with 7900XT performance at the current 7800XT price-point, I don't think that's likely to happen. AMD would have to eat the losses on the MSRP adjustment for the 7800XT unless they wanted to compete with themselves. Maybe it comes in at USD600 and then in a few months we get a MSRP reduction, like what happened with the 7700XT. That would be pretty good, too.
Paint number 2 job is being resistant to UV light.
Is there potential to UV hurting your eyes? Lot of people keep systems on their desk
Amd had better sort out its features that it provides to users for 8000 series. I don't see 8000 series being particularly exciting but I am expecting for some memorable experiences with it if they can focus on power efficiency, features and general quality of life improvements

If I remember correctly, I thought the $25k Tesla was supposed to be the robotaxi. Now it sounds like they are different vehicles. Need more clarification plz.
Trident Z User here. No burn in issues.
The reason that the 2 different Tesla batteries are the same is because they are. The new one is just bigger than the old one. When you are taking a couple thousand of them and putting them into a car battery pack, it just means that you put fewer individual batteries into the pack, but you are still putting, roughly, the same amount of power into the same amount of space. I don't believe they announced any kind of advancement in technology, just bigger size.
Yeah, glad I keep my rgbs turned off. Good call !
If anything AMD has actually been underselling their improvements lately... Intel should actually be quite scared right now.
Yeah led burns my gpu but i get more fps with led so its all good.
We will see with mine I guess? Lol. Black G-card with Trident Z
Thank you, Tech Tom Hanks.
BYD has made profitable 10-15k cars. While they have to redesign parts to meet western safety standards but the are working on meeting European standards with more of their line up. 10k is a lot of wiggle room. The US won't see them because they will import tax them to death but most current EVs cost what they do because they were built for the luxury price point and CAFE laws that let a few EVs offset a lot of ICE vehicals.
Thermaltake P3 case for $100 is a good deal.
I’m still disappointed that AMD isn’t making high end chips next generation. I bought a 7900 xt in early 2023 and was looking forward to AMD’s 8000 series. Guess it’s nvidia for me next generation.

Does this mean Sora could insert Kyle into Hot News or other videos randomly? If so that would be amazing and terrifying :D.
They'll sell the new AMD Radeon generation at $600 US. Or near there but no way it comes in at $499 US. It might drop to that after a year or so but I'm pretty sure around $600 US is going to be the launch price.
Apparently it's not just purple, it is ultraviolet.
I mean paint "damage" is not that bad i guess... what it "breaks" looks and resell value. but GPU cant break from light shining at its cooler
