      ​@@clinged2711 well for me rtx doesn't matter but it's the one big reason why people consider buying an nvidia GPU instead of AMD despite having lower value than an amd GPU so it's technically game over for nvidia if amd gets to have rtx at the same level as nvidia because amd is more value for money

      Too many cores and not all of them counted as cores cause AMD got sued for it and it's because the cores were so damn slow.

      ​@@Rullino32Bulldozer was inefficient as hell and two cores shared one FPU, which made them half as fast in many aplications. Imagine it like a fully hardware based Hyperthreading, but with less performance gains.

      ​@@Rullino32 basically cores came in modules of 2, supposedly allowing to better communication in between, making them more efficient and as such more powerful, but ended being the complete opposite and rather each 2 core 2 thread module instead worked as a single core 2 thread, so their 8 core 8 thread CPUs ended being instead just 4 core 8 thread, same with their 6 core and 4 core CPUs as well, but since they marketed them as 4, 6 and 8 core CPUs but instead were 2, 3 and 4 cores that didn't even perform as well as their Intel counterparts, as well as the efficiency being all accross the floor being hot and power hungry af, they got sued for false advertising, lost millions and their reputation was on an all time low until they dropped Bulldozer, hanged on with Pilediver (A series) for low end and embedded systems while they worked on Zen for their comeback

      Bro? The current gen just didn't push the performance enough to get people to switch. 7900 GRE was a good move but overall they need a new architecture to really be appealing to buyers.

    I am really very satisfied with my AMD graphics, and yes NVIDIA has better technologies but for me they are simply very expensive

      Funny enough, they abused pricing just with their latest cards, the shit price of the 30 series is the result of the pandemic and scalpers, cause the MSRP was pretty similar to the 10 and 20 series, but yeah, the pandemic was a turning point, if just one badly price generation made a Lot of people stop trusting Nvidia I can't imagine what would happen if they kept abusing it for the next generations

    AMD already has stronger shaders. It wasn't to long ago that it was reversed, back in the day before AMD Radeon existed it was called ATI and their 4870 had 800 shaders which was easily beaten by a GTX 270 with only 210... Thats reversed now, a 4060 comes with 3072 and a RX 7600 only has 2048 yet their raster is the same. AMD will figure out a solution for raytracing it's only a matter of time

    AMD had a great chance to get market share with how expensive the 40xx launch was but they went almost as greedy as nvidia and lost out

    Yeah but even if the card is exceptional it doesn't have the software suport from third party it need to compete with ngreedia, my Radeon VII is still a beast but with every app demanding CUDA acceleration or even Raytracing cores

    I have AMD they are really good but for some reason when it comes to vr 1-10 times the drivers crash for no reason

      @Akkbar21 No "akkbar" nobody is angry. AMD graphics cards arent even bad. If you look at price per frame amd is the better buy. NVIDIA convinced computer noobs that DLSS and ray tracing is a necessity and game changing. It isnt. Ray tracing is pointless unless you plan on staring at objects and lightening and not play the game. DLSS is a software downscaler with image retaining not AI and they charge a massive premium for it. Theyve been neck and neck for decades. Same with intel cpus. As for intel in the GPU market good luck. AMD will always undercut nvidia and intel always have.

    The heck is going on
    The RX 6950xt was 3-5% faster then the RTX 3090 and 8-10% slower then the RTX 3090ti
    All for about 300-500$ less
    That was the Zen 1 moment
    But apparently that isn’t enough!

    After seeing Nvidia's gaming revenue, which is likely mixed in with 4090 sales for non gaming purpose.

    Bug Fixes? Give us the cards of the Rx 7000 series with better ray tracing, a bit lower power consumption and by average 30 to 50 bucks cheaper and everyone would be happy.

      The only "problems" I've heard is that they aren't making a graphics card that competes with the 4090/5090, but apart from that, it wouldn't be much of an issue since not everyone needs 4k or even 1440p gaming.

    I'm just sad they won't have enthusist class cards wich will force me back to Nvidia at some point. Wich sucks cause over all I enjoy my 7900xt but if they don't do high end cards anymore I can't really upgrade to a new AMD. So a 5090 or 6090 depending on when I Wana and or can upgrade in the future.

    AMD had their "Zen" moment with RDNA2. I dont know what more you want than the same performance for half the money nvidia was asking. It didnt work. Its completely understandable that theyre going back to the mid range and even scaled rdna 3 back from what it couldve been. Its costly to develop and manufacture high end gpus when nobody is buying them regardless of how powerful and cheap they are. Current GPU prices are 99% the consumers fault. They wanted this.

    No encoder no sell for me. Nvenc and dlss are enough for me to not touch AMD stuff.

      Well firstly, DLSS 4 likely wont be supported on 40 series though. Whereas all future versions of FSR will likely be supported. So the DLSS advantage is temporary.
      For example my 3080 is limited to dlss 2. When FSR 4 comes out i will likely end up using that instesd.
      Of course, DLSS 2 was much better than FSR 2.... But I cant have DLSS 3 or 4. Meanwhile as FSR continues to develop it becomes the better option
      Secondly, higher vram is a huge + for AMD

    both RDNA3 and Ada (except 4090) have been complete disappointments.
    Looks like Blackwell and RDNA4 will be the same.
    no news of intel's battlemage yet.
    The industry has never been this boring.

    The reason smart people don't buy amd because they have a life other thn plying games only... 🤣💀 Nividia users know how great their cpu evn at productivity works like blender u can compare avg mid range nvidia gpu score of blender to any high end amd gpu 🤡 i hope amd fan don't get mad now... because i don't any diaper left for them... plus the only reason i care about amd to stay in market because without any competition nvidia will sell their cards in more higher prices...

    I have a 6950xt and i still get a 15% decrease to my download speed a year later....but my 2070 is getting the full 1000mb

      Is this while gaming? Higher cpu utilization lowers download speeds. Or specifically the write speed to the drive.
      The 6950XT is more powerful so could be allowing your cpu to hit 100% utilization which will lower write speeds
