Welcome to Super Rider! My name is Aaron, and on this channel we break down complex bike skills into easy-to-learn techniques, so you can quickly learn and apply these skills to your riding.
I film most of the videos in the Shred Spot, a mountain bike skills laboratory where we build and ride on obstacles. It's the best place to break things down and go deep on all of the nuances of bike riding. You'll see me ride full suspension mountain bikes, hardtails, dirt jumpers, street trials, competition trials and anything else I can get my hands on!

I Quit My Job To Be A Pro Athlete. Will It Work?
What’s the difference between an Athlete and a Creator? Can you be a professional mountain biker and do either, or do you need to compete?
I believe as long as you are bringing value to the mountain bike community, you deserve the title, and that’s exactly where I’m headed (again).
This channel just crossed the 100,000 subscriber mark a few weeks ago - and this is a little bit of the journey of what it took to get here - and where we are headed now.
I made the decision to quit my job to follow this dream, which is definitely going to make things interesting!
Big thank you to @TomtheTaxiDriver @TheShinDig for all of your help (and filming!) during our London visit. You guys are the best! Stay tuned for the podcast that we did after our day at CZcams HQ - I'll link it here as soon as it's ready.
Thank you “CZcams Chris” for always supporting me and being a huge part of this journey.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who has subscribed to the channel and watched the videos that I have worked so hard to create. It makes it all worthwhile to know that this is helpful for your riding.

How To Ride TOUGH MTB Trails
zhlédnutí 10KPřed dnem
The one skill that bails me out of the toughest spots on the trail is also one of the most versatile skills you can have on two wheels. Using an "English Hop" or simultaneous two-wheeled hop, SPD hop, clipless hop, (and the many other names it goes by) will give you a chance to quickly reset and rebalance yourself and your bike when things go sideways. In this video we break down all the differ...

No matter how hard you try, if you don't address and expand your comfort zones over your balance points on the back (all three of them), you're going to have a hard time progressing your skills as a mountain biker. In this video, we're going to learn how to spend more time getting comfortable over your balance points. We're going to identify and learn how to use our balance points, and then I'v...

Shake dat a**
Three speed coaster dog!!!
I’m 44 as well and got back into mtb this year after riding in the 90’s. Thanks for sharing your experience with us 🤙
Nah but going higher is more fun. I get your point, but if you got the skill to go for it, why not?
you man are fucking skunked a bunny hop is when you unweight your front wheel, pull it up, shift your centre of gravity forward and use ur knees and elbows to bring up the back and front simultaniously.. you pull up the front first. to me this is simply a "hop" but clearly its called english hop. do research
I tried going down a set of stairs not knowing you have to actively brake and slow yourself down. Found out really quickly why you DONT do that.
4th gear is 1:1.0625 ratio?)
On-one hello dave
that clip through the stream looks a lot like Upper hide and seek, Sandy Ridge Oregon 🤔
Good eye, that’s exactly where it is!
@@SuperRiderTV I love that trail . I probably ride SRT 30 times a year
You make it look like so easy mate but whenever i try to do it constantly failing.
You are living many rider's dream, so it is already working. If you worry about future financial situation, you would also worry about it with your previous job, so nothing have changed. I have been watching your videos for a few years. I like your skill demos, but I would also recommand you adding more culture and history content about this sport, so your channel can resist the ever increasing pressure from new riders with better skills.
Very cool. Good luck! Same thing in video games-the biggest streamers are not the best players generally. Instead they are merely very good but add other entertainment to their streams.
Hey! I am a 17 year old kid who one day wants to reach this goal but I feel it’s not realistic because it’s not a “real job” what tips do you have to kinda of grow a channel when starting out? Another reason I want to reach this goal is because I’d so much rather do something I love to do everyday, rather than work a 9-5.
Brague Vestavick the great dominator💥
Mine is electric cycle
I've been watching your vids for a long time now... just got an Inspired Flow 24 YESTERDAY! I know zero tricks and can barely do a track stand... so I guess we'll see how this goes! Looking forward to your new vids! CONGRATS!
Oh that's awesome!! You're in the right place to learn, and especially for trials stuff - join our Discord channel (the link is in the description of this video), there is a SOLID crew of people in there who are currently learning and will encourage and help you with any techniques as you go through the process. Ask us anything!
with the bunny-hop you distribute the load equally on both axes.
My bike cant even leave the floor its way to heavy😂
Let me introduce you to the dutch grandma bike. U wont be able to pedal backwards, since u would just brake
respect bro
Trek marlin u select the gen
A trek
Super cool dude! That is absolutely awesome! I wish you all the best! I've been here for quite a long time now!
Thanks. Needed this tip for my stairs to the El train platform.
It’s always so scary for me to just do a simple track stand with clipless pedals 🫢
And keep up your flat skills as you age! :)
why are u running like 12 psi
We call it REBAR, Aaron! REBARRRRRRR!!
It's quite a shame that you don't make videos on trials bikes anymore. I am very sorry. But I understand that classic mountain bikes are incomparably more popular. Good luck!
I just got a new trials bike...stay tuned! :)
I use an orbea laufey h30 and it is great. In practice it's a combination of an enduro- and a trailbike. But if my choice matters i would say that u try orbea laufey h10 beacouse it is lighter and it has got litle bit better parts.
If I’m going super slow I basically do a controlled wheelie and land on my back wheel. Like riding out the back of my pickup truck, or off a picnic table. If I’ve got any speed at all then yes I basically just ride off it like the video.
Awesome. I have been following you for awhile and am rooting for you. I consider you the bike professor, and you have taught me more than any other influence out there. As a fellow Portlander I am definitely curious what you are going to do in the winter now that you don’t have the shred spot. Is a move in the works too to keep winter content going? Excited for ya…
Thanks so much! I haven't really figured out winter yet, if I'm honest. We do have access to another indoor spot (not as fancy as the Shred Spot, but it could work) - but I'll likely try to travel a bit to create videos. Lots to figure out, for sure!
Can you give me a stret trial or a full sus?
Right on brother! Stoked to see this.
Thank you!
Awesome video, Aaron!
Thanks Peter! Let's ride together at some point, sooner than later!
@@SuperRiderTV That would be awesome!
Do you use clip'ins?
All flat pedals for me, I recommend them for practice specifically. All the tutorials and skills on this channel can be done with flats.
Congrats man! This channel NEEDS to be bigger. You deserve all the success (and more). You've inspired my riding and I always remind myself Practice Makes Progress. Thanks for all your hardwork! 🤘
Thank you so much, this means a lot!
Match forever! Much love buddy. Come down to San Diego and rip some trails with Seth & I like old times (well, just not in Boston anymore). Stoked for ya! -Alex
Alex!! Deal, it would be so fun to ride with you guys again!
Well deserved Aaron!! You inspire me daily on & off the bike! I can’t wait to see what your future holds 🙌
Thanks Seth! Hope your elbow is healing up, can't wait to ride with you again!
Love your channel and the excellent quality of your videos and instruction. I'm personally primarily a single track mountain biker, so the thought of you heading outside for future videos has me excited! Congrats on your 100K! Looking forward to seeing more!
Thank you so much!! Excited to get outside into the fresh air. As luck would have it, its been raining a bunch lately...perfect timing! haha
Wanna be a better rider? Subscribe....this guy is super helpful!
Thank you!
