New sub here great video , thank you so much for the info! I’m a small frame guy (5’6/135 , it’s so hard to find my size plate and soo hard to find a small plate carrier . I’m a newbie any advice I muchly appreciate in advance
You can try SAPI small but it depends on if you prefer shooter cut style. See if the 10x12 fits you or how much excess you have to deal with. If you can run it then there are more options in the 10x12 size. Your carrier should be based on your plate size, so check the product description to ensure it'll fit your plate. I have Velocity Systems Scarab and Defense Mechanisms MEPC videos if you want those as reference.
@@bunnyoperator awesome thank you very much for the advice I really appreciate it
@@bunnyoperator I’ll definitely be watching those videos thanks
Nice video. I do have the PA 3x prism on a carry handle build and I will say the eye relief is... ehhhhh. Mine's actually up super high cause I'm using one or two of the additional risers that come with it to bring it back farther, and even then I still have to have my face way forward. It's really not ideal. I wish there was a single mount that brought it way back farther. You can see in your pic of the ACOG that its rear is past the charging handle (8:18); that's how far you want to have the PA 3x as well, honestly. I'll have to update this after I can look at mine to say exactly how far mine's back, but it's not enough imo.
I've looked through the 3X and 5X since this video and I would agree on the eye relief. Nature of short prism optics I guess. Weapon Outfitters has a cantilever ACOG mount but I don't think they support the mini pattern (yet?). I'll wait around for solutions. Currently there's a Steiner P4Xi on this. Still experimenting. 😂
@@bunnyoperator Interesting. Yeah man a cantilever mount for the SLx would be tight
Ik u have the PA 1x Prism on ur A2 upper attached with that screw they sell but would it also work for an A1 upper ? Also amazing builds man I plan on going a1 route so i may have to steal this mlok rail form ya hahah liked and subbed
Yup, A1 and A2 mounts the same. Your individual receiver carry handle channel might vary though. It's not a very repeatable method for optic mounting. 😂
Man that’s a good looking rifle
Spectre comp has less recoil and looks better 👌🏻
Totally buying this soon
The warden? Probably not necessary unless you shoot in these prone positions often.
@@bunnyoperator I don’t know, man I was at the range in my muzzle break was storing mad smoke to the left and right and making it hard to even breathe versus just having a thrown forward

How old is it?
love the build bro. Good to know the Primary Arms prisms will mount right into the carry handle, they don't advertise this ability on their website. Might not be the first to say this, but is that bcg a bit overlubed? I am sure it functions fine, but my concern would be, if you ever had to actually take that out and carry it in a dire situation, all that grease/lube would be a serious dirt trap. Just my two cents. Love the build tho.
Not at all. I've tested varying levels of lube in different conditions, and I've found that "excess" lube helps keep the system running after high round counts. If you're running a can lube can burn up quickly, so the thicker stuff stays where it needs to and moves to the areas that are needed once it warms up. I've done this even in very fine sand and the rifles keep going. The thinner oils tended to create more stops after the oil either burns off or moves away from critical areas but once you spray lube back in it'll keep running. It takes a lot of gunk for the action to not run as it should, so much of the cautionary advisement you read regarding "over lubing" isn't backed by evidence but fuddlore. You can also watch the Larry Vickers video where they pretty much dunked an AR into oil as an anecdote. Do also test it for yourself to find that peace of mind.
@@bunnyoperator I saw the one where Vickers did it in response to James Yeager's video about Glocks. It was kind of silly tho, bc Yeager (not that I am a huge fan of his) never said that an abundance of lube will keep a gun from functioning. He stated that, according to Glock's own people, the most common "malfunction" they saw in their guns was situations where far more lube than necessary was used, and then possibly not cleaned again in a while or used in very dirty environments, and the excessive lube turned into a magnet for crap and gummed it up. Supposedly according to Glocks own service people. Vicker's video really didn't do anything to address that or dispel it as an issue, he just proved the gun would run when saturated in perfectly clean oil. Not sure that was a surprise to anyone. Is it REALLY an issue in real world situations? Don't know. Guess we should probably ask military guys who actually carried and used guns in shitty environments to know. Either way, I've just NEVER seen a bcg with that much grease on it, then again I don't really run with the 10k-rounds-thru-a-can-every-3-months crowd either. Carry on, bro.
@@michaelcreekmore9534 Nature of anecdotes for sure. Conditions will alter what is done for use case. Best thing to do is run whatever camp you're in to verify for yourself. If it works keep going until it doesn't. Only way to know. Keep collecting that data, brother. 🤝
Do you have a g33 to compare to the 3xc? I know you said the 3xc works fine but curious if you have any comparison.
I picked up a couple pairs of the A&A shoulder pads after seeing this video. Love em
Nice! Glad they worked out for you. They definitely help with long term fatigue.
LUCKY AS HELL 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Would A5h2 work 14.5 bcm with rc2 mini
Yes, but it's not necessary. A5H2 is equivalent to H3 in weight but features of the A5. If you already have your buffer system on just run it and up your buffer weight as needed. Save money, homie.
Some slick looking setups dude
How tall are you and what weight?

Just got back from the range with my brand new Timney Alpha (silver) dropped in my Glock 17 Gen 5. I ran over 400 rounds in various brand/grain 115-124-147 grains FMJ, self-defense rounds PERFECT trigger, ZERO jams or light strikes I guess you're just 0 IQ and shying people away from the best thing to ever happen to Glocks. Probably a retard and didn't install it properly. IGNORE THIS VIDEO THE TRIGGER IS LITERALLY PERFECT!!! YOU ALMOST TALKED ME OUT OF GETTING THE BEST UPGRADE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN FOR A GUN. DISLIKE AND REPORT THIS VIDEO FOR MISINFORMATION! THE ALPHA TRIGGER WAS MADE TO FIX LIGHT STRIKES Imagine being so stupid you can't get a Timney Alpha trigger to work, lmfao.
MAN. 🔥.
What mounting plate did you use? I just bought a EFLX but none of the M&P Performance Center plates allow proper mounting. What aftermarket plate is that?
That's a Leupold branded plate. It puts the optic on top of the slide. It has to to accommodate the longer DPP body. That being said there are solid shops that still make steel plates for the RMR pattern if you look around. Avoid aluminum like CHPWS. Their 1.0 plates are ass.
Any update if C&H has fixed their QC issues?
None but from the reports I've received it is still an issue.
I received my Glock with the Timney alpha. Went through 100 rounds with no malfunctions. It was installed by a gunsmith not sure if they did anything to help it.
If the gunsmith ensured fitment and function then it would. You'll have to keep it clean and upkeep it to ensure it stays functional. It can't be treated like the standard Glock trigger.
@@bunnyoperator copy, will do thank you!
@bunnyoperator So im actually building a lower for this. It’s an a5 buffer system with Tubbs 308 flat wire spring and kynshot rb5007 buffer tube. Idk if it’s due to the buffer system or something else but I keep hearing people mention the ejector springs break after 1000 rounds or sometimes even 300 rounds. Do you have any input on this? Also would you be willing to give an update as for as how this CMMG is running after 3 years?
I have seen reports of failures on early kits. The solution was to use the 40 cal parts kits to update. The gen 2 barrel and bolt was updated to accommodate CMMG's Colt based lowers and they are not backwards compatible but I cannot be certain if CMMG also rectified the gen 1 issues. I swapped to the gen 2 to use their Colt lower and did not experience the reported issues with either. I had probably 3Kish rounds through the gen 1 before swapping to the gen 2, and pushing about that same round count now. I haven't put much time into this platform lately but I am still experimenting with buffer systems to gather data. Currently A5H1 with standard spring seems to be the most balanced. I am on carbine H1 now to see what it does and will progressively try different weights before using their integral BCG weights. I'll make an update video later once I have enough data collected.
How did the +0 aluminum baseplate handle? Looking into getting a couple, but wondered what you thought
It functioned the same as the plastic one. No real benefit either than minor weight increase. These all failed on me regardless with failures to feed.
@bunnyoperator Yeah. All my gen 3's are emergency mags as only my gen 2's function correctly. I was curious if the aluminum baseplate would help with the loading to give more clearance for the 15th round. That last round is a doosy. The +5 has issues with pinning the round. Can't load more than 18 to avoid it.
@@LOC_Tactical Ah, I understand. Nope, the alum basepad does not aid in loading the final rounds. It's pretty tight but I am able to load by hand although a speed loader definitely helps. I also have noticed that the malfunctions are more prevalent with the +5 but they do appear with the flush as well. Mine are original from when I got the original Gen 2 mags but SA confirmed that the +0 and +5 basepad designs had not changed since Gen 1, so they did not warranty mine. If there is a problem with the basepads or springs then SA is not focused on identifying it and seem to be focused on the mag bodies and tolerances with the slimline frames. I don't think the execution of the S15 was good enough to function across the board, so it is largely a YMMV type product and I cannot openly recommend them. As with everything, test before you trust. You're already experiencing problems with yours, so I expect additional issues later similar to what so many have already reported to me. Good luck, buddy. Do report back.
Just get a shadow systems and say goodbyw to plates forever
No. That platform comes with its own issues, so I can't trust it.
Do you think an A5 system with an 11.5 or 12.5 mid length AR does anything for recoil/how soft shooting the rifle is compared to using a regular Carbine buffer system? I want to make my rifle run as soft as possible and am trying to decide on the buffer system
That's dependent on your specific setup, the ammo, and environment. For most systems, a carbine spring and H1 buffer are sufficient. You up the weight or spring strength if going up in pressure or ROF but only if you need to. 100% function is where you should desire. Simply swapping to the A5 system won't give you that much benefit over a proper carbine buffer system.
@@bunnyoperator I know it starts with drilling the gas port properly but in theory I should be able to round out the recoil impulse with a carbine extension/buffer and spring correct? I have a carbine length system and an a5 system so that’s not a problem I just want to make the right decision when it comes to how soft I can get my firearm. Thanks for responding man, I don’t think you’ve ever left me hanging regardless of how stupid my questions are lol
@@christopherkey3488 I always try to answer. You wouldn't ask if you didn't know. 😂 Basically the A5 system grants a bit more time for travel and mimics the rifle buffer system. The formula is +1 to the A5 number to get the equiv carbine number, so A5H0 = H1 in weight. The AR15 system is forgiving enough that you could probably run as heavy as you'd like and it'll still lock back assuming your gas port isn't specialized. What you can do is try different weights until you get the desired effect without affecting reliability. Film your rifle behavior and compare the footage between weights. You should be able to see which works best for you.
@@bunnyoperator awesome thank you 🙏🏻 I want to start making videos but I need an outdoor range to do anything worth posting lol
@@christopherkey3488 Naw, just start and use the footage as B Roll. Voice over and talk about whatever you wanna talk about. The people that like your content will come naturally. 🤌
Hey bud… love the setup. Question for the wise man🙏🏻 I have an out of the box DD MK18 with a Geissele super 42 and H3 buffer. Currently, I’m running an omega 300 (until my VELOS LBP) gets out of jail. Would you recommend the VOLTAR A5H2 with green spring over the Geissele? I’ve heard great things about VOLTAR and I’m pretty clueless on that system. Or am I just pissing money in the wind and stick with my current setup? Love your videos and I’d appreciate your input please 🙏🏻
Both are propriety. The G system's spring is definitely more stiff than a "milspec" spring and uses a slimmer buffer to accommodate their braided spring (don't use with normal spring and vice versa). The A5 system uses a longer extension, rifle spring, and proprietary buffer. They both aim to do the same thing but in a different way which may or may not be compatible with your system. Frankly, running a Sprinco Blue with H1 or H2 would be sufficient for your needs. If your system is running fine in all conditions then leave it be unless you desire different behaviors.
@@bunnyoperatorthanks buddy! I really appreciate it🙏🏻

So is this good to mount the EPS full size on a g45? Also would it block the iron sites?
FCD doesn't support Holosun so you'll have to look elsewhere. Cowitness depends on your optic plate and irons, so I can't answer without knowing what you've chosen.
this is on my wishlist
Terrible
😘
Just saw this video... and have had experiences w/ C&H like others. Some good and some not. I've had a C&H plate on my Staccato C2 for several months mounting a Holosun EPS. Fit and finish seems good, but my problem is the rear sights won't work w/any front sight option I've tried... EPS is zeroed and front sight isn't. Irons shoot way low and I'm already running a short 0.160" front sight. Anyway... spoke to C&H and they told me they knew the plate I had wouldn't work w/any existing front sight and wanted me to buy a 'revised' version and new front sights to get it to line out. I'll just go another route and figure something else out going forward. Long winded I realize... but I appreciate the video. What plate is the go-to for Staccatos these days?
FCD makes Staccato plates but they don't support Holosun. Dawson Precision is the OEM for Staccato, so try them. Otherwise the alternative maker I recommend is CNC Pros in UT but I'm not sure if they support Staccato. I usually go to them as an alternative steel plate maker.
@@bunnyoperator Thanks. I just found out that FCD doesn't support Holosun a few minutes ago myself. I'll check out CNC Pros and if that fails hit up Dawson precision. I know DP plates are made from aluminum so if all else fails I'll go w/them. I'm surprised more plate makers are not on board w/Staccato.
@@ericmoss8344 I'm sure more options will come about. Lmk what you end up with.
I have 2 gen 3 mags ran good but the only thing I was bummed out about I bought a gen 2 + 5 baseplate from taran tactical & it doesn’t fit all the way correctly ): so I have to buy a gen 2mag to throw the base plate on
Yea, it seems the TTI extensions are only for Gen 1 and Gen 2. There must be a dimensional variance in the Gen 3 but the SA extensions are unchanged and fit all 3 generations, so I'm unsure of what that variance is to cause incompatibility with the TTI extensions.

I was contemplating keeping this one as is and setting up a modernized version but there's a lot of effort needed for a rifle that I probably won't run as often as I'd like. My plan was 18" para with the ACR adapter and full pic top with the VLTOR CASV FAL. Still deciding. I need a Para receiver. Modern DSA isn't exactly on my favorite list right now either. This one is the old DSA forged receiver allegedly produced by LMT from back in the day. The new receivers are cast and not to my liking especially for the price point.
@bunnyoperator oof. Finding a good one has gotten harder and harder. I was loaned one a couple years ago to use and make a video on. All the FN ones now a days are worth a fortune.
@@thetacticalpuertorican For sure. AZ Reponse seems to be the last reputable shop left in the FAL community but will see what happens in the future.
I just got my last week and sad to say it's perfect. Every company has a few issues. Customer service fixing the issue is key and I guarantee some of those issues are install issues.
For sure. Their CS is great and the quality manager I've spoken with was superb at getting my specific issue resolved. The owner, however, is making bad moves that create the issues we see like overseas manufacturing of plates. Many were issued to agencies, as you can see in this video alone. We all want companies to succeed but we also need to hold them accountable until their work is up to par for the consumers.
I purchased the Timney Trigger for my Glock 31 Gen 4. My problem is the trigger will not reset. At bench it functions just fine. At the range, 2 shots are good, then the trigger will not reset. That's terrible. Have you ID'd the causation?
