The newer T2's are similar brightness to the comp M5. Apparently Aimpoint switched their source for emitters so all T2's with a serial number north of 40k are not "Aimpoint" bright. Also they now have a small notch filter like the other models.

TL;DR: T2 is king.
Yeah neither of them were very thorough about the pro. I ended up getting one and was not impressed with the light transmission compared to my compm2.

@@6daemonic6 I expected that type of performance considering the longer tube. Even though the pro does have NV settings it's still, IMO, and afterthought for the LE market that trickled into the civi side. I don't think NV was a huge consideration in the design of it.
My T2 maxed out in bright sunlight gets washed out fairly easily. My Acro is far brighter in a daylight setting. The T2 kida sucks to be honest
I haven't experienced that with the T2 but have with the PRO and Comp M5. I've also found the P2 to have 1 less brightness setting than the T2 in those conditions. I rarely ever use the top setting on the T2 but I like that it's there when I want that little extra.
You really can't get away with shitty performance when direct sunlight is in front of you without an attachment like a sun shade. One solution there is to close your front cap and go binden aiming.
@@bunnyoperator I was doing some reading and others seem to have a similar issue. It’s not like it was pointed at the sun. Just some solar glare, mildly irritating especially given then have how many government contracts? I was thinking of a comp5 but makes me weary

Battery technology
Will see how the new Duty RDS performs in comparison. The Comp M5 doesn't get as bright as the T2 despite being newer.

@@colbyc.6698 Not sure what there is to talk about there. It's a CH with enhancements, and I'm not exactly a gear reviewer. I simply talk about my experiences and things I do.
@Florida Man HVACR Yes, agreed. Still very useable, just not preferred. It's actually "perfect" at max setting but the nature of always wanting more is there. 😅
@Florida Man HVACR That's certainly a consideration. I think as a standalone RDS the M5b and M5s on Scalarworks 1.93 would be around 2" HOB and would work really well.
