Spuhr Dutch Contract Aimpoint Micro Magnifier Mount Kit

- Spuhr is always on the cutting edge with optics mounting and this new setup manufactured for a Dutch government contract is no exception. A brilliant, robust, but lightweight integration of the Aimpoint Micro, plus the Aimpoint magnifier in a QD/swing mount combo, plus a functional backup iron sight and extended, raised Picatinny rail for night vision sighting systems is clever and accessible, as it is also available for pre-order to the civilian market. Another solution from Spuhr that looks as good as it is functional.

this falls under the "i can't believe no one's done this before" category
Really does.
pretty cool right...
This might be the coolest new product in a long time. Seems very smartly designed!
This is a massive improvement over UNITY
Improvement, certainly yes, I don't know if it's a massive improvement though
@@pdxmarine1430Exactly
@@pdxmarine1430 Unity mounts snap pretty easily, so I’d say it’s an improvement if it doesn’t snap.
@@DocMitchell69 I have owned an Eotech Unity setup for years and am by no means soft on it, how in the fuck did you manage to snap enough Unity mounts to consider it as an easy thing to do?
@@GoonRaccoons I was mistaken, I was thinking of the Scalarworks magnifier mount.
This will be the best mount in the red dot game soon
Spuhr has also a few new ”normal” red dot mounts coming soon, ~150€ for 2.25” is just great
especially if they make a way to use other red dots and magnifiers. it would easily become the meta.
@@flawseeingeye a few other companies use the aimpoint footprint so it should already be useable.
$400 Bucks for a Spuhr Military Contract Mount! I honestly was expecting $600 or more. I will actually pay 4 bills for that.
I guessed $500. Spuhr isnt cheap but they make awesome stuff.
Yeah. It’ll make pretty straight competition for the Unity stuff when you look at the cost for the T-2 fast mount and flip to center magnifier mount together, you’re pretty much in the same price point.
The only problem is that I don't mind if the magnifier mount is a bit more expensive, since I only need one. But if the red dot portion happens to be $300 or not for individual sale, then this will add up across a few rifles.
@@EvansStyle because aimpoints are 800 by themselves and 3x Mag are 400 bucks as well braniac
Price is comparable to other mounts + having to buy XYZ magnifier mount. Definitely competitive.
Brilliant, simple, streamlined utilitarian design. Love it.
Elegant was the word you were looking for JR….. complex detailed requirements with an elegant solution… very cool
I don’t have a reason to own this but I’ll buy a magnifier and Aimpoint just to get this
I know right 😂
Same here, I need it, even though I don’t
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication
I love this Euro coverage. That is brilliant. I want one.
Sweden just keeps on delivering
True innovation coming out with products like this.
Others not so much.
Really, really neat.
Glad they took my rough-and-tumble parachuting habits into account as well 👌
I’ve been following this one for a while now. Thank you for covering!!
This is very cool. I’m surprised nobody has made one of these before.
The magnifier being removable is a great addition
And just like that, I've mentally spent nearly 1.5k for this setup.... and I'm in larp love for nearly 5k to get an NV setup now.
I would love to see an Eotech iteration of this.
One of the coolest things made mount wise in a long time.
It looks like getting the eye relief for the magnifier right could come at the cost of moving the red dot out of your preferred position. Not a deal breaker by any means, just means there's still no free lunch. That being said, this could be easily resolved if spuhr just sells yokes of varying lengths
It's kinda like getting the lowest bore offset possible on your sights while maintaining inline recoil into your shoulder - you can't have both lol
Surprisingly great price on that joker. Impressive design
Get your orders in at Mile High! Got mine in and can’t wait till May rolls around
Just ordered one. Damn you James Reeves, you are an enabler. You keep showing cool stuff that I just got to have and I'm going broke!
It's the short shorts that enables you.
Absolutely incredible, well done!👍🏼👍🏼
This and the IRGL defence omm are the only mounts in the last few years that actually offer something new.
Now that is brilliant engineering
Wow! That looks awesome. Not sure if I need to upgrade my unity setup, but I love the innovation.
That’s honestly extremely cool. I want one!
I just got a Brownells BRN-4 416 upper and had intended to put my Unity Fast setup on it. Since the 416 is heavier than a regular AR, gonna switch out the Fast for this.
You hard-core LARPER you lol
This setup fucks so hard
Very cool design! 👍🏻
Great way of thinking outside the box. I’m likening these new mount ideas lately. I’m shopping for Aimpoint H1 micro sights. Looks like it no longer made. T1 too expensive, so I’m buying Acro Sights for my PCCs
Will definitely be trying to snag one of these! It would be dope if they came out with an eotech version as well
Wow. That’s excellent.
Im watching this video on the spuhr of the moment
Now THAT’s innovative
I run a Unity set and my only complaint is that it is heavy. I am pretty excited about this because of how streamlined and light this is. I will def consider this for my next setup.
+1 for Spuhr. They can be hefty but they are the best mounts $ can buy period.
Take my money haha, this is pretty impressive imo

Very nice it is!
very cool ideas
Just ordered. This is game changing. Military here.
Ok, ok… I’m subscribed now!!
cool setup, I own a micro and a 3x mag, my only problem with this product is that I run the two pieces farther apart than this allows, with the t2 at the front of my aug's top rail, and the mag towards the rear
I have questions about eye relief but this is nonetheless very cool.
spuhr keepin it real
Max eye relief on magnifiers, in the wild, is 2.8". Can't run the optic at the front of the receiver on this product though I like the R&D trend.
Now that’s nifty
Holy Sh** Such a smart design
Wishlisted!
Nice.
Ngl id love this on a PTR-91
preorder in
This is just much superior than the unity mount.
How so?
Spuhr makes probably the most over the top optics mounts conceivable.
Nice
This beats the GBRS mount any day and is cheaper, from a company who actually makes top-tier optics mounts.
Smart
Seems fair in price. What is the pic section in front for? A thermal unit?
Thermal or laser
🔥🔥🔥
this might be better then unity combo
Hopefully they make different magnifier arms for other brands such as Eotech.
We will
Typical Spuhr innovation! On My shopping list!
Now, this is a product i want for my Holosun AEMS. Knowing SPUR, this mount is going to be like $500
399
@joelerk6298 honestly still too much. I would've like more info. Presumably this is at least 2 inches tall since it's flip down center. The style is really cool but the price is asinine.

Damn. New mount is cheap than the old. Can you add on the rail and iron separately?
Wat
@@DinoNucci wasn’t the old mount like $800 so the new one is cheaper. And he said it doesn’t come with the forward rail and the backup irons, was curious if you can purchase them separately since he says they just bolt on
Edit: oops, I thought this was like the BAM mount. It’s different, it’s just a all in one flip magnifier mount
Wow. That's clever. I imagine there will be a cornucopia of copies and variations of that quite soon. If Primary arms can do something like this with their SLX sight and magnifiers, I'll kit out all my rifles with that.
Just pony up for the aimpoint?
@@Richardjohnson6969I prefer the reticle choices from the SLX.
this is pretty fucking cool - this would be perfect for battle rifles where the weight and slow accusiton speed of an LPVO isn't desirable
🙌
What is the weight of this mount , must be light with all this design thought
189 grams
Need!
I want to know Optic center height.
I've tried a couple of different magnifier mounts, and as a lefty they always involve a compromise. This looks like it would work for me. Don't think I can justify spending $400 on the marginal gain though, even if the device is objectively worth it. For $200 it would be a no-brainer.
Whats the height on this optic set up?
Problem with the red dot and magnifiers being attached like this is you cannot set your red dot as far forwards as you would want, then separately mount your magnifier for proper eye relief. You either put the dot further back than you prefer, or you mount your dot where you want it but then struggle to use magnifier. Not ideal.
Doesn't this also means the magnifier stays in line with center of gravity even when flipped out? I want it for airsoft but doubt they do it and it just feels so patented
What, you don't want to buy a mount that costs more than your AEG? XD
The Chinese had scope switch copies within weeks lmao dont worry they dont care about patents
Practically none of those airsoft mounts are licensed. Those that are will generally be worse than the IP theft mounts because they'll require certain changes to be made to make them visually distinct from the original products, and those changes are typically for the worse. All that said, if the airsoft scene starts to get a hardon for this mount, there'll be a copy sold by one of the various east-asian distributors.
Airsoft is for soy eaters
400 dollars for a mount? Thats my entire rifle budget.
400 bucks? For your entire budget? Yeah, you're gonna want to put at least $1k aside minimum for something like a fully kitted out AR. Irons only budget build for you pleb lol
What is the weight of this mount kit?
Lighter than any other magnifier and optic mount setup that sits at 2.26” or higher.
Eotech G33 compatibility is coming also.
Source? I'd like to read more about it
@@M4A1MG42source is me
@@M4A1MG42me, no ETA set yet
Now if they made that magnifier swing off to the side and lowered that mount it could be cool for a lower dot + magnifier for an ak on a side rail
They need an eotech and similar compatible mount, then I'm all over this.
GBRS: releases Hydra, Spuhr:
Not even close to the same purpose. 🤦♂️
Spuhr probably doesn't call the cops on it's employees and then fires them after they've done nothing wrong.
@@blue_ridge_shooting7668 🤣
Sphur is actually a legit mount manufacturer and been in the business for decades. They also give you the mount and the magnifier piece for around 400 bucks.
@@blue_ridge_shooting7668did gbrs do that? That’s wild if so
The euros are always way more concise when answering question- just no bullshit
what is the height of the mount?
2.25"
We Dutch do like to do things different
Very kinky
Now make one for eotech and make a 2.33 version
No
Micro ACOG please 🥺
Looks goofy but its genius
Looks like sex
It's Unity/Hydra but better. Love the innovation.
I know the aimpoint purists will hate this but I wonder if they'll make them for other magnifiers If they sell enough
Rip UNITY mounts for the market on that optics foot print
Cool chin weld
5.56 has crazy kick. Right? RIGHT?
