The MCX we have at Rome.
I was thinking almost this same thing, but you made it one better with the change from "H" to "R".
The most underrated comment!🤣🤣🤣🏆🏆🏆
Rome is appropriate because it will never come to the US civilian market. Beretta is a contract company.
So it will actually operate correctly

Beretta is indeed a great, historic firearms company. They held off as long as they could before producing an AR-pattern rifle.
I see what you did there, he only said 'it's not an ar platform' a dozen times. It looks like the MCX we have at home but with a proprietary cut lower.
Yeah it's basically a piston ar.
It looks like an AR-15 but it seems the internals are derived from the Beretta ARX-160.

Eugene Stoner’s AR ergonomics is so revolutionary and perfect, its inspired so many rifles to imitate its manual of arms.
It's not that. It's that the US market is so dominant and so hostile to non-american-style approaches that if you don't do something at leas similar to an AR-15, it won't sell. US market is too used to it. This is the motive. Of course we have to give credit to Stoner that was a great engineer, however.

The T handle has one great aspect in that it makes for a tiny ingress point for dirt and debris without needing complex sliding dust covers.

THANK GOD they are changing the name. NARP just sounds funny as hell. Overall very excited to see this new series of weaponry from Beretta.
NARP = Non Athletic Regular Person. I guess they could have called it the D.O.R.K. program. LOL.
I like it, hopefully it's price competitive with the Spear LT and similar rifles.
I don’t consider the Spear a competitive price. It’s overpriced imo. Not that I would want to pay more, but Baretta has s better chance to get my money than Sig, due to their quality, innovation and now looks. I will admit I’ve not been much of a fan of Baretta’s like other than their shotguns and the 92.
As a Beretta guy I’m super excited 😁
Beretta makes fantastic weapons
This just feels like an mcx spear without the QC issues and slightly more user friendly toolless disassembly.
wish they would bring back the AR-70, retro guns are really hot right now, and that one is super cool.
When you said that, I instantly thought of the Zoolander meme “so hot right now.” Lol
It was a rifle that was too heavy and had some flaws. I'd rather see him redo the 80 x Cheeth type pistols, or the 70 series in cal.22, which worked wonders in the hands of the Mossad
Aesthetically speaking, the Ar70 is my favourite cold war Black rifle.
Very good interviews and tour of the gun. Thanks so much.
Another good show with my favorite manufacturer
Cool to see the MCX aftermarket taking off!
Can't wait to see an in depth review of this gun.
Finally!!! BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!
It’s too bad they didn’t attempt to update the ARX. The heart of the ambi system was great. However the body (e.g. optic rail, ergos, charging handle, trigger) was atrocious. I can’t imagine it would have been hard for Beretta to refine the rifle after all the user feeedback
The thing is that since the AR is quite the proven platform, the ARX would have to prove itself to be just as reliable. Make no mistake though, the ARX is decent, but the design was radical enough, IMO, that some felt alienated to it.
That gun had so much potential and simply needed a "second" version. When it came out, it was just about 10-15 years behind some evolving trends. They should have handed it off to some proper gun-guys and gotten it squared away.
But at its heart, the ARX was just an AR-18. The ambi stuff is just window dressing.
@@immikeurnotARX is NOT an AR-18 copy. From the gas piston, to BCG and dual ejectors, there's nothing from the AR-18 lineage, except the bolt head, and even that is not an original Stoner design.

6.5 Grendel & Creedmoor. Yes!!! Thank you Beretta.
Though the AR15/M16 Stoner design is superior it is nice seeing the AR18/180 Stoner design still being relevant and evolving.
I would like to have one if it isn't obnoxiously expensive.
It came late, perhaps it would have been better if Beretta had concentrated on the AR15/18 platform instead of wasting time developing that polymeric boiled fish of the ARX 160. Yes Beretta products are very expensive, too expensive.
Impressive riffle, would really like to try it some day. I like how easily it breaks down.
Love the naming idea they have for it.
Well done ... Bravo Beretta.
I like this a lot! I'm seriously considering this if it's sold in the US to civilians. Nice work!

I’m so hype thanks for this
Beretta entering the game of new gen assault rifle is a good move. Already a lot of competitors like Robinson Armament, SIG, FB RADOM, CZ but regarding overall quality and QC, the difference will be that BERETTA is ahead of the previous cited and it will be GTG since GEN1
Magnificent art work. Form follows function, and like their automobiles and ships, functional works of art. Man, just thinking of Beretta… Perfection… Would love that platform in 6.8X51…

@@Lexman00yeh but the downside is it’s made by Sig
Love it ❤
I like the color. And i really like what the future of the AR platform has to offer. Sig, cz, beretta, fn, hk, geissele, kac, etc, all of them. Personally still looking for sch or fch and buffer-less, or at least the a5 as standard buffer kit. And PLEASE a standardized milspec ar10 for the civilian side to work with.
Love Beretta, I hope they have more success with this than with the ARX100. I picked one up used and loved it, but Beretta quickly pulled their support (parts, barrels, etc). I know this isn't scheduled for US commercial distribution, yet. But if it succeeds in Europe, it will. Hope they support it when it does.
Something i never considered, when it comes to a monolithic upper you dont need a cantilever scope mount
About fucking time Beretta
Looks nice
Nice!
Nice! Beretta going after Sig!
lookin good
A mix of LMT and the sig spear ?
If folding wire stock is not that important to you. LMT seems to be way better especially for US civilians, the piston comes out the front in 3 seconds, 7075 monolithic upper means you can't wear it out or damage/flex the handguard at all. A barrel change is only 1.5 screws(does NOT bend!), and LMT cryo CL barrel is top notch! Not only you can change between piston and DI, it takes almost all AR parts except barrel assembly and piston carrier. Which also means you can tune the buffer and spring(or replace the spring for as cheap as a few bucks), customize furniture to your liking.
@@JohnZ556 i have to agree and i really like LMT but i really love what sig has been doing with the mcx it feels more modular and modern and it has proven itself to be durable and the folding stock is just a plus don’t really care about it too much
@@AK10_@AK10_ I am not sure how Sig justified raising their price from 1700 to 2700 in just a few years while they have been testing the platform on the commercial market.
I love the Ratter cuz nothing else quite like it, but those MCXs are made from 6061, still have barrel and handguard issues, are still not very well tuned on the gas, and are pretty gassy to shoot.
While Sig just constantly rolls small updates without telling us, and releases a new version/gen every 2-3 years with a huge price hike.
@@JohnZ556 Briefly mentioned in the vid that they're experimenting with folding stock options. It is a prototype, after all.
@@kyotra Yes I saw the version with a very MCX looking wire folding stock. I hope some big company can start smacking Sig for what they have been smoking.
Now with MCX at 2500-2700, a CMMG dissent at 2000 is like MCX a MCX wannabe, JAKL 1300 is like MCX at home. Excuse me what??? A decent AR nowadays is so much cheaper than they used to be, but new AR180 variants somehow become premium.🧐

if you look closely at 9:02 the bcg has a rod sticking out it’s like a mini ak bolt carrier
I was worried that stock had a fixed rear buffer tube system like the AR but it's foldable.
