Yeah that guy was weird. “Hey hand me your firearm to clear it for you.” Umm no? Why would I hand over my firearm to someone I don’t know? Guy was out of line for that. Just glad we had cool RO’s and squad mates to help out.
Especially since your stage was still active. Coincidentally he appeared in the clip as I was talking about him running the tablet. LOL
I'm glad you enjoyed the Linden match. Our aim is to put on matches that shooters find challenging and fun. I hope to see you at more of our matches.
You folks were really at the top of your game and super supportive. The match felt like a range day with the friends. It didn't really hit me that Dom and Bino where who they were until after the fact. That's such a cool vibe.

I appreciate you sharing your experiences and being humble with the mistakes and lessons you're learning. I think it helps us that are on the fence about venturing into the sport. I definitely need to get into this but I don't have anyone around me to show me what to do. It looks like you've got a good group of people to help you and I'm jealous. LOL Great video!
I'd say to go to the USPSA website and locate any clubs in your area and give them a go to feel the vibe. You'll probably meet the people that you want to be around. I've found that the personalities vary by area, so pick the ones that fit you best. Good luck and keep me posted.

Sorry you had to deal with the BOC, they are the worst. The sad truth is some clubs are run by and filled with them. I just avoid those clubs and recommend you do as well. For shoes Salomon’s are 80% of the shoes worn, followed by boombas and innov8.

Sorry to hear you had a bad squad mate.. it will happen and they come in a lot of forms.. You'll start to recognize names on the squads and learn to avoid them LOL
As for shoes, I run Salomon speedcross3, but any trail running shoes that fit your type of feet will work honestly. You will still slip, just a little less.

Most of the people I shoot with run some version of the Salomon Speedcross shoes. Very light and very grippy. I had serious sliding issues before I got mine.

@@bunnyoperator I just bought my second pair. My first pair lasted about a year and a half. And for most of that time I was shooting two matches a month.
@@CatherNTL Understood. That's expected considering the aggressive traction on those. They probably wear super fast if used for casual wear.
I go through a pair of Solomon speedcross4 a year but I shoot 4-6 matches a month. The tread wears but the upper is fine.
@@jasonb9913 that seems to be consistent with my research. I take it Salomon doesn't offer resole options. 😢
