This video revisits the oldest build in my possession. It is the last of the rifles from my early days into the firearms world. Is it still good? Do I need to change anything?

Those arisaka fingerstops are amazing
They are. I wish that there were also the handstop available for the CMR. I have it on a few of my setups.

Sick build man. I love the handguard and enclosed fsb. Although it's not available anymore, I've had something similar in mind as far as looks go. If I'm lucky, I'll find the rail in the pond but not too optimistic to find it at the right price.
Also, I'm digging the rattlecan job. I haven't grown a set to spray except for one aero set but I sandblasted it a week later. A year later, the receiver set is still in a gallon bag to keep it "clean" lol.

I'm guessing the C4 Carbine Extended is what you're going for? I have the non extended carbine and midlength cutouts on my modern-retro setups. Videos on those are already out if you want to check those out.

@@bunnyoperator not sure if I'll go with the centurion arms cm4 but possibly yes unless I find something else worth while that the handguard surrounds the fsb. I'm still finishing a few builds for some friends while I save up for more parts. So far I only have the geissele lower built out for my 14.5 and I don't even have the barrel yet. That will complete my 10.5, 12.5, 14.5, and many 16"s cache 😆

its a shame centurion arms doesnt have any offerings greater than 12 inches, guess i will look into getting a geissele rail instead
Take a look at the product descriptions to confirm the true handguard length if you haven't yet. Sometimes the 12s are closer to 13. That being said the, I suspect the reason for the gap is to allow space for better suppressor heat dissipation. Whether or not that is important enough for you is up to you and your intended config.
Nice build. I'm still ruining my 2015 AR as well and it does everything these modern rifles do.
As they should. Really no reason to update unless you want to. This one is getting its final changes soon though.
14.5 midlength is my fav overall multi-purpose. soft shooter, reach, and most important....looks
I've found that length range to be my happy area as well. My 13.9 Mid is quite balanced, and is quickly becoming one of my favorite rifles.

Yes, EXPS series is lower 1/3 and XPS series is absolute co-witness. The 500 series has their own thing, so you'll have to check product descriptions if you want those.

Also, what fsb did you go with on the BA barrel? I don't trust myself to drill out notches on yhe barrel to pin it.
FSB was pinned from factory. BA sells the barrel assembly complete with delta ring, handguard cap, and FSB.
@@bunnyoperator awesome. I'll have to check them out. I've always used rosco, FN, and a couple other barrel manufacturers. I've been hearing alot more ppl using BA. I just bought a 12.5 for my Geissele 10" fed rail build. Haven't put much lead down range but are they decent for a budget/mid price barrel?
@@seang1032 If you can get FNH's barrel, that would be the preference unless you wanna pay for someone else to pin the FSB.
