That's the problem. They think they have got a theme park. They don't. They own a seaside resort funfair.

The united kingdom is dying unfortunately. It's not a PBB only issue. They're just a symptom of bigger issues. If you have £50 disposable and you want to go to a Theme Park, where are you gonna go? Be honest. A lot of people can only justify doing one a year atm. Where you gonna go? Towers? Thorpe? Or Pleasure Beach? I don't think many people are choosing Pleasure Beach, obviously.

Blackpool the resort/town was busy on Sunday, not many in BPB though

In case you missed the news, BPB recorded losses for 2022 to 2023. Park was very quiet in 2023, but hopefully they made profits. What speculation is unfounded? There’s a lot of speculation at the minute.

@@yourexperienceguide loses aren't due to the big one itself are they? It's you who thinks the big one is the cause quite clearly,stop goofing on mate .

@@markherbert1343 At what point did I say the losses were because of the Big One? 🤯 It’s obviously the main reason people visit, but it’s probably in need of a lot of money spending on it to keep it open for another 10+ years. There’s many more problems why they’re losing money, and that’s not the Big One. Please watch and listen before making assumptions, thank you 👍

@@markherbert1343 So a few weeks ago there was a video explaining why the Big One has been retracked every winter over the last 5 years, and another one about how it’s *not* unreliable, and the narrative around it is false. There’s no doubting it’s got rougher, but it’s still my absolute favourite coaster in the country without a doubt. BPB’s issues are much deeper than the Big One.

@@Puppet_legends Getting into the mindset that X ride is sacrosanct is generally a toxic mindset to have when it comes to an amusement park. BPB has been hit with serious issues because of this in recent times.

I've never really understood why Efteling is considered to be a magical place, this recent visit was my third time there and most likely to be the last. I wouldn't really class Baron, Joris or Python as family coasters, I've got a 6 year old and he wouldn't do any of those even though he's tall enough for 2 of them.

@yourexperienceguide oh no I wouldn't class them as family coasters either, but I think they're a good level for those dipping their toes into thrills. Like if you have a family with some kids who just want to eat ice creams and watch shows and some kids who've been waiting to try going upside down and are excited for it, then it's all bases covered. They're probably not for most 6 year olds but I'm sure there are more than a few with parents dreading the thought of having to go on a big ride with them 😂 at least then they aren't too big. It's really hard to describe why I find it so magical but as a child I LOVED fairytales, like had a big book of classic ones an could just devour them. Now as an adult I get to skip off in that world and forget my responsibilities. I love disappearing into the realm of the fairies or seeing Pardoes get into mischief - literally when the stairs part in Symbolica I feel like a five year old, it's magical each time. But I think you're either someone who can get lost in that or you're not and it's all valid! Ps at the secret weapon event on Saturday- SO looking forward to it

I didn't say they do, I don't think they have the money for retracking it but I was looking at all possible options in the future.

@yourexperienceguide based on that logic why don't they just tear down the whole of BPB barring icon and install some rides that don't want to snap your neck riding them?

I wouldn't say ICON is amazing, it's good fun and reliable but not the best coaster at BPB. ICON has a show stopper next to it; the Big One.

It's sad that so many classic Log Flume rides have been removed

Ride itself was there before the Nick rebrand, and at the time they had a bigger Log Flume elsewhere in the park

I don't believe there's enough room to RMC the Grand National

I think they'll go ahead with the project, and from then it's up to each park to decide if they're going to sink or swim.
