- We headed back to Alton Towers for the last Alton After Dark event in early 2024. In this vlog we get on all the major coasters including Nemesis Reborn in the dark, and tried out some Aramark food at Woodcutters Bar & Grill.

Up until 37 years old I never rode a ride. Always thought I hated rides. My wife talked me into riding the smiler to prove I didn’t like rides. Once I rode that I was hooked. So I’m with Craig the smiler has a special place in my heart. Always will but I do understand why some people hate it now. Can’t wait to ride soon!

Wow she threw you in the deep there, that’s one of the most intense ones! Normally people start off on something tamer like the wickerman or big thunder mountain at disneyland, you’re brave to do that first! 👍🏾
I was trying to impress her 😅 likewise she’s my best friend as well. Knows me well and I promise I can’t wait to get back on one now. Two young babies makes it difficult but visiting Nemy soon and can’t wait!!

You should definitely do a Crewe heritage centre VLOG. Especially now your are not just theme parks as Your Experience Guide 😊
What should go in that space is the track on the new version of oblivion. Oblivion was an experimental coaster and it’s now been very much left behind. I don’t know how far you can go with the height but there are things that can be done if you look at 1898. I don’t think you’re quite going to achieve that, but something along those lines, it’s over 25 years old now and it’s time.
To be honest, Oblivion is a lot better than Baron at Efteling. That’s one of the most underwhelming coasters I’ve ever done

I need to go back though, it’s been 5 years since I was last there.
Very wise words from Craig about how rides have different meanings to different people due to circumstances and experiences. Mine is probably Vampire at Chessington as it was the coaster that got me into theme parks and the same for my son. Close second Nemesis as first proper thrill coaster.

Enjoyed the vlog thanks! Looks like you guys had a great day. Towers on the up and up finally! We only went from after midday, mainly to get a Nemesis night ride, it was amazing on the back row! Saw you guys filming the last bit of the vlog but didn't want to bother you! My partner shouted your name from the Nemesis break run when you were just about to go into the station when she saw you, but think we went into the station as you turned around 😂

My friend and I were on row 6 on your train with you guys for the Nemesis night ride. That was one hell of a ride! Incredible.

Amusing the Gladiators chat as some of the original ones were involved with the opening of Nemesis in 1994.

For me I’d like to see a jumper replace enterprise & some form of smaller gyro swing replace submission
I actually think it would be fitting for BPB to become the uk coaster capital over Alton towers. They are the uks main amusement park so should in theory have the highest quantity of coasters whereas towers as the main theme park should focus more on other areas
can you do all the coasters in one day? or does it take 2 days to do everything? Love your vids!

Would a skyline duelling spagetti bowl coaster fit in in X - Sector. I've commented before about this but not in that area I originally said remove Spinball and have it there.
Here is the recommended ride order: (Roller Coasters)
Queue for Wickerman before rides open as it has a pretty long queue all throughout the day
Ride Thirteen and Rita as they are nearby.
Ride Oblivion and Smiler in X Sector.
Ride Spinball Whizzer
Ride the Flatrides (Including Nemesis Sub-terra, Blade, etc)
Near the end of the day, ride Nemesis. Try not to be too late as the gates could close on you.
Disclamer: This could differ depending on the party (people) you have along the way. This is recommended for friends and people travelling alone, perhaps NOT Families.
I think the order we did things worked really well 😅
Although this was only wrote a day ago, I have actually changed what I think the order should be everything is sort of correct in a way, except they should ride Nemesis after the Smiler. They could then go on Flat Rides surrounding Nemesis, such as Blade and Nemesis sub-terra. It is honestly a bit stupid how much research I have been doing for this day trip to Alton Towers

Ah I was there that day too! Nemesis in the dark is epic - although I stand by my opinion it's definitely a back row ride (having a RAP has it's perks haha!)
It’s very good at the back
They have moved the RAP entrance so we might not get the back next time

I think they’re all a bit poor to be honest, small cubicles and not always well kept.

I believe Stephen is fantastic for the channel.. Very very knowledgeable. Even though I'm from Manchester I do enjoy are more articulate accent.. Lol..But I must admit we need Mark back. Not big mark little Mark.. Is he under the thumb Scott as he seems stuck to his Mrs.. Lol..
Definitely, Stephen’s been a great friend for nearly 20 years and I’m glad we are getting to parks frequently like when we were younger 🎢
Wouldn’t a S&S 4D be too tall for Alton Towers? I’m not all for it though!
We went last Monday and got on everything (coaster rides) 4 times, Nemisis 6, Towers have much better operations this year
Staff are doing a great job even if there’s downtime at times
@@yourexperienceguide 100% went to go on the smiler as the final ride, it broke down but they kept oblivion open and let everyone in the smiler que (only about 10 of us) on and we got to do multiple laps of it, they didn't have to but it's the little things like that which will make me go back to Towers multiple times!
Still in shock about Mark praising Nemesis, next he'll be agreeing with me about Inferior.
