I've stayed at the hotel several times now, including a couple of times in the deluxe rooms. I don't have any complaints. The rooms are always very tidy and comfortable and the food is fantastic.
The view of the park is great, however much prefer the option of staying at the premier inn, unlimited breakfast and free parking ideal for a young family. The monetary difference pays for park entry
Great video Scott. I had no idea what that hotel was like inside and the closest I’d gotten to it was going past it on the Big Dipper. I usually go to the Hilton down the road.
Loved watching this Scott. Not seen the hotels from the inside before so it was very interesting. Looking forward to a hopeful boulevard tour in the future 😉 (although take your sweet time getting that one in with those prices 😅)
Thank you 🙏 I’ve always been put off by the Boulevard prices. Other vloggers have had free stays there but even in our Club Pleasure Beach days we weren’t given that opportunity 🤐😆
Great video as always Scott 👍 stayed in big blue on opening weekend, loved it 🤩 staying in boulevard for the first time on 23rd or 24th can't remember 🤔 (the parking is a bit expensive, should be £5 for hotel guests, and it should fall in line with park hours, not 12-12 like it currently is)
Big blue all the way for me and mandie..tried all the different options there including the penthouse suites.every one worth every penny..the premier inns in the area are too hit and miss..had some really bad experiences in some of them including once it was so bad we had to claim our money back.and at certain times in the year premier inn not far off big blue prices...amanda should be giving you commission scott after reading some of the comments on here it looks like a few people will now be trying the big blue😊
Breakfast is very good, something I forgot to mention was going down for it before it gets busy is the best thing to do. Less chaos, and more time back in your room to watch BPB waking up for the day.
I’ve never stayed in here was going to last year but with it being a big hotel I was thinking lots of family’s and lots of people about my daughter struggles round lots of people so I didn’t bother don’t know might be me over thinking things
I disagree with you the rooms are fantastic at the big blue I stayed in room 338 a deluxe double room on the Sunday night I booked breakfast and found the breakfast choices to be not so great the food was poor I felt there was no fruit no muffins no pan au chocolat the orange juice is watered down the sausages were very poor quality not what I would expect for a 4 star hotel
I have to say, I’m not massively impressed, especially for the price. We considered staying here but it cost the same/ less to rent a bigger flat on the outskirts. You are paying for the fact it’s close to PB. Some of the things I noticed in the vid are - toilet roll just sitting there on shelf. Could they not put fresh toilet rolls into a holder? - how long has that tea and coffee and shortbread probably been sitting there? It looks dusty -toilet seat isn’t attached properly and is misaligned, it would be uncomfortable and maybe pinch your thighs. MaybeI’m being picky but for a hotel this pricey, come on. - towels look thin, small and there’s only a couple there. -lamps are wonky - awful decor, insipid walls and horrible fake plants. I will say the bed is lovely but maybe not to everyone’s taste. Annoying how they shove two singles together sometime, pet peeve of mine. - the workspace desk looks dirty and what’s with the manky corded phone, can’t they replace it with something a bit more up to date - was about to say ugly chair but I see you say it’s themed by one of the rollercoasters. If it’s a themed room, could they not do a bit better with the decor? In such a bland room, the themed chair looks out of place and like a bad croc print. Honestly, a holiday in is pretty much the same, and way cheaper. I wouldn’t bother with this. Also, just curious, does the noise from the park not wake you? This looks a OKAY place for staying for 1/2 nights providing you’re gonna be out all day but no way I’d book a week in Blackpool here. It’s quite a small room for the price too compared to elsewhere.
Thank you for watching. I’m going to reply to your points made which I think are fair observations. - There was toilet roll on a holder too, those you saw in the video are spares. I do like having the spare rolls as I have an issue which causes me to need the toilet a lot more than the average person, so saves the walk down to reception every time I need more. - I’m not too sure, but after filming I had two brews and the shortbreads, and they stocked them up again the next day. - Toilet seat - my fault - Towels were fine, don’t think I showed the big ones on the heated rail. - Definitely not a themed room, it was just an observation that the chair looked like ICON’s train design. Having sat and edited a video there, I have to say it was quite uncomfortable. Park noise doesn’t bother me but I’m usually up and out of bed by 8am without fail so no issues there.
@@yourexperienceguideI understand RE toilet roll issue as I have that too, just think they could’ve stored it a bit nicer/ put it on a holder How was toilet seat your fault?
Stayed here april 2022 on our trip to Blackpool then Liverpool
I loved this hotel definitely recommend.
Brill 😁
Fantastic review Scott, stunning views! I haven't stayed there before, but I'm going to give it a go. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 🙏 Hope you have a great stay if you book it

Another great VLOG scott very indepth on what you talk about wether its about rollercoasters or hotels spot on ❤
Thank you 😊
Great tour Scott lovely views and British weather cheers
Thank you 🙏
Good to see you review the Big Blue Hotel it certainly looks very nice Scott 👍
Thanks Chris, it’s an excellent hotel
The view of the park is great, however much prefer the option of staying at the premier inn, unlimited breakfast and free parking ideal for a young family. The monetary difference pays for park entry
That’s fair enough, I do like a stay in a Premier Inn especially during Halloween season
Great video Scott. I had no idea what that hotel was like inside and the closest I’d gotten to it was going past it on the Big Dipper. I usually go to the Hilton down the road.
Thank you 🙏 I’ve heard good things about it the Hilton too.
We stayed at the Big Blue on our last trip to BPB and it was amazing. We had a view of the Big One which was epic. I definitely recommend this hotel.
The views are so good 😊
I went to pleasure beach today I went on nick streak and it reminded me of the feeling of drops on rollercoasters good video
It’s an airtime machine 😇

@yourexperienceguide Well, I think my response to hearing that can certainly be saved for an in-person discussion 🤭. See you Saturday hopefully!
@@CammHMusic Saturday will be a great day 🎢
@@yourexperienceguidethe boulevard is worth it, it's very nice.
@@ballbagI’ve had a nosy around the rooms, not sure it’s worth the cost. I’ll give it a go eventually

Thank you, and completely agree about the parking. The spot I did the video intro is where I parked for the weekend 😅
@@yourexperienceguide 😂 not too far to walk then!, how much is parking where you parked for the weekend? 🤔
@@Themeparkcoasters_UK Free, I literally parked across the road from the big blue
@@yourexperienceguide I'll keep that in mind, thanks 👍
Always go there getting old so i like to get into pleasure at hotel entrance good review 👍
It’s very comfortable, thanks Paul
You should review the indoor Alton towers water park in door it’s well good , a was there years ago right enough but am sure it will still be good

Nice little room this!
I was really happy with it mate
Looks a cosy room, nice view of the park too.
Really nice room, and loved the views out to BPB
@@yourexperienceguide great review and keep up the good work for 2024. All the best Scott and team

Never stayed here but would like to eventually. I've heard before about the breakfast being great
Breakfast is very good, something I forgot to mention was going down for it before it gets busy is the best thing to do.

Great video. Do season pass holders get discount at Big Blue and Boulevard do you know?
If so, how do you claim this?
Thanks
Yes they do it’s 10 percent use the code season in the promotions box and press update it’ll give you reduced prices
I’ve used it on the big blue but never stayed at boulevard the rooms in there are far to expensive
Yeah, but I think you have to get the code off BPB customer services.
Do people staying at the hotel get early access to the park?
Unfortunately not, if anything you’ll usually get in later than those going in at the main entrance
@@yourexperienceguide 🤣 perfect
238 was my room on my birthday stay
Great
How long is the walk from this hotel to the velvet coaster? Thinking of booking
About 15 minutes
20.04 booked the spring break for 2 nights £200 breakfast and dinner on first night and 1 day at pleasure beach bargain lovely hotel
£200 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 dear god
Enjoy 😊
id love to stay there just so i could sit by the window and watch the coasters go by all day. Tho obviously it would be better to ride them lol
I do enjoy watching the coasters from there, especially if I’m staying for a few days and can just enjoy it when the park is in full flow

Did you are TPW get discount rooms 🤣🤣🤣🙈🙈
Not anymore, but when we ran Club Pleasure Beach we got 15% off.
No idea about TPW.
