  • Universal Studios Great Britain WILL Happen, that's Scott's prediction as of April 2024! In this video, Scott takes a look at why he thinks Universal Studios Great Britain will open in the United Kingdom, as well as looking at what we know about the proposed project so far and speculating on the themed areas we could see at this theme park resort.
Please note this is a speculation video and Universal Studios Great Britain is still in the very early planning stages.

The thought of having this less than 5mins away from my house is totally bizarre! Even the thought of some evenings after work, going to City Walk for some food and a few beers, taking in that Universal atmosphere is very exciting. Crossing everything that it happens 🤞

This definitely feels like things are moving and it's going to happen, finger crossed the land is good enough for it to move to the next stage.
For the sake of the current British theme parks, i hope the weather improves quickly and for an extended period of time (i.e now through to October would be nice, not asking for a heat wave, just 15-20 degrees and the rain to go away).

as a life long theme park lover, I personally feel that universal studios GB, will NOT have a harry potter themed area or land, why you might ask? Simply put it comes directly into conflict with the OFFICIAL warner bros studio tour, 40 minutes down the road in watford. If I was warner bros would I want a major theme park having an attraction with my name on it 40 minutes up the road from me, taking away all my potential profits with my OWN attraction? again, no I wouldn't because it's directly taking money out of my pocket and putting it into their own, but I can see universal looking at NEW IPs to bring to the UK park.
I'd be extremely surprised if warner bros were to let universal have a harry potter land just up the road from the studio tour, it would definitely have an effect on visitors to the studio tour.
I'd love to see james bond, or paddington have attractions there, both being quintessentially british icons. Sherlock holmes is another british icon! Lord of the rings or the hobbit would be amazing! a replica mount doom or an eagle ride!

Money talks, and Universal will in my opinion want to have another Harry Potter themed land which is a massive selling point.

I’d love to see some lands we’ve not seen before, especially any with a UK connection. Lord of the Rings would be awesome, and some classic British horror Luke Wicker Man, Dracula, and the Hammer Horrors. Or more recent ones like Shaun of the Dead or 28 Days Later.

This is all very exciting. But it bolsters my belief that Blackpool Pleasure Beach need to embrace the fact they are a seaside amusement park and not a theme park and make that their USP. Be proud of the fact. Think like an amusement park not a theme park. Have walk on tickets as well as wrist band tickets. With a clever marketing team they could make themselves stand out as being different. They can’t compete with a Universal Theme Park. So invest in standing out as the best seaside amusement park. 🤔

Let's be honest this is just a London themepark, it's not a long journey from London, it's on one of the busiest station lines with only a handful of stops before. So I just see tourists coming to London, paying for a hotel there and popping to Universal for a day and straight back down again. I don't think it will benefit the other parks much other than people than enthusiasts that already come here to do the parks. I really want to see investment outside of London and outside of the south. It would be really nice to see it up by Liverpool/Manchester/Sheffield and Leeds area. However Bedford aren't going to shoot this down even if the locals don't want it, because they've never listened to the locals in the past, they want the tax that will come from it. Though Bedford's debt is mainly down to all the social housing like all the other councils, so it's entirely self inflicted.

I am 100% more positive that this will 100% happen unlike the London Resort, which I still think could happen after this or during its construction? As think it would be good still for Kent as a draw for the area, especially as a gate 1 with maybe gate 2 being a tiny park with marshes & natural parks resort only? With loads of expansion space? Aswell think its in a good location for Eurostar from Europe via Ebbsfleet Int & Thames for a port for ferries from London & Essex? Aswell Cruises from all over the world via Swanscombe port area? May even bring in cruise ships with excursions to Merlin Parks, local attractions aswell work in favor for Universal GB? Especially via train connections, coaches etc? I hope both will happen, but think more will be Universal as a big two gate resort 100%. If resort really does happen in Bedford, hoping we defo see Harry Potter World, with unique attractions, aswell some clones? But not all? Hoping same for Jurassic World, maybe the boat log flume ride? Or all different layout & versions on all? Even coaster for area? After watching TPWW's vlog Singapore, would love to see a Shrek area maybe as think thats popular over here? or Lord of the Rings IP with a wooden GCI Dragon coaster at the center? Like London Resort were planning on Kingdom land? But in Universal? That would be quite epic? Would love to see a Freaky dark ride or attraction as if Millie a.k.a Butcher is chasing you in ride? or attraction? Would love & hoping to see a lake in the middle of park depending on size of it, as traditional. I mean aswell going back to London Resort, they might be waiting to see how Universal do it? Who knows? But nice vlog, enjoyed, look forward to seeing more in future. Cheers 😀👍

@@yourexperienceguide, I still hope, wait and see, but if not, its a shame 100%. Hoping Universal happens more now, opens up market for Merlin to build more immersive lands, rides, attractions and coasters in future, I mean fully themed. Garden city at Ebbsfleet is growing, so hope if not resort, maybe they have land round there, build a port as that would be good there, aswell good destination for Eurostar. Wouldn't mind a Merlin resort going there instead? But yeah, be a 100% shame if nothing happens there, had so much potential & now hoping Universal create both a big studios gate 1 aswell a mixed IP & original rides park? Then it won't be needed. But I guess we shall see? Cheers for reply, look forward to future updates. :)

Blackpool and Flamingo land will be fine. They're far enough away that they will still attract the "local" crowds.
