OMG | Could Universal Studios UK Really Happen? Public Consultation

- Join me as I went to Kimberley College in Stewartby Bedfordshire for the first of two Universal UK Projects public consultations
This public event was put on by Universal Destinations & Experiences and involved all the proposals for the land they have bought in Bedfordshire for the future Universal Studios Great Britain (or UK)
The second public consultation is at Bedford College on Tuesday 16th April, 4:30pm - 8pm (this will be edited out after that date)
As of yet it is still in the planning stages and is NOT officially going ahead yet……however, they have started ground tests on the site where the theme park may be built in the coming years

Personally I think it's probably 80/20 in favor. If all goes well with the government planning, I'd say it's clinched. The only thing that could stop it is a lack of upgrading transportation outside of the park.
Universal won't do anything less than what they've done in the States or Asia. There's more to be gained than lost with this project.
The European market is an untouched potential goldmine. The fact that there really is only Disneyland Paris as far as a huge global entity is mind boggling.
Another great vlog andy am not local am from manchester way but so excited and positive for this project to go ahead it just seems the right place for it slap bang in middle of the uk and easy to get too and i like how there adding new train station and more roads to the area which be handy for us that dont drive and want a day out trip to there am very confident now it will go ahead after watching yours and tpws video on it so positive just cant believe well potentially have a universal park in the uk which is mind boggling and already thinking what would be built on the site 🤔😍

Yeah something like Velocicoaster
height restrictions in this country would put a stop to that probably, but it is worth noting that universal doesn't normally have that many bigger rides, in florida it's disneyland. look up falcons flight, saudi arabia that one looks to be the next biggest.
@@terminalfrost3645 Falcons Flight is a monster of a coaster and it will be the Longest, fastest and tallest in the world and nothing else would be it
The train is pretty crap at the minute.. hour from Bletchley to bedford.. hoopefully the east west link will sort it
It will be improved for sure, they will be building a new dedicated train station just up from Kempston Hardwick for the park and City Walk type area plus the train line on the other side of the park will go from Cambridge to Oxford soon

Its got a lot of more positive backing from it even the locals which is more what Paramount & London Resort ever had. If this has a proper mix in its parks alongside Universal IP's, Original British creation rides in both its parks, I honestly cannot see "The London Resort" being needed, I'm just passionate about that because I have a very big creative mind, been coming up with alot of ideas for it, especially as it would be on my doorstep if gone ahead or goes ahead? I do think realistically if it happens London Resort alongside this, I mean big if, maybe go ahead as a one park resort with nature park as 2nd gate and water park, but I guess we shall see what happens, was thinking maybe Merlin could take it over? Create an International leveled resort & park? Especially if the guy behind it doesn't take it forward & make it reality anymore? If not? Its really RIP, but until there is announcement that states they are done, I will for now keep out hope, then I will let it go & give it shame once & if company says its the end. But 100% can see this becoming more of a reality Universal GB, 100%. Just wondering what types of attractions would we get at this version? Hoping a mix like the London Resort between Universal British & American themed IP's & British history & local history original factual & fictional rides, coasters and attractions are built, if that, 100% support Universal GB especially with 2 gates? Sounds all really exciting, look forward to hearing more updates soon, maybe you should go for a job with them, be opportunity for a lifetime especially as theme park / coaster enthusiast such as yourself? Aswell promoting Universal's Epic Universal at the same time? But yeah, nice update & vlog, look forward to more news & updates over the next few months from this. 😀👍

Yeah it is for the local public however they are happy for anyone to get involved as it’s all online anyway

Well I'm not from there. Just spells corruption to me, trying to get it over the line as they know the locals will shoot it down.

@@yourexperienceguide I dunno you'd have to ask them, but I just think it should be something up to locals to decide if they want to live right next to a themepark... Because looking at the map, it is right on their doorstep. You have to take all the pros and plusses of having this here like traffic and house prices and whatever else such as water supply etc. The area has been turned into a shite hole with all the warehouses, so it isn't like the locals will have much say any ways.

The only, problem compared to the USA is the weather.
In order for them to make a profit will be to create at least 50% of the attractions outdoors and 50% attractions indoors.
