I read "The Tumours Made Me Interesting" by Matthew Revert and that was just too bizarre for, what I felt like, no reason. I read it because I did like "Basal Ganglia" by him and thought I might like some of his other works, but no, I'm ok. Side note: I love all your tastes and book reviews!! <3

My favorite Weird Fiction is a novella, "Tainaron. Mail From Another City" by Leena Krohn. A unnamed narrator (a woman I think) is writing letters from a city of sentient insects. I recently discovered Jeff VanderMeer. After I finished "Annihilation" I knew I need to read more of his works. China Mieville is another author that writes cool New Weird. My jurney into this subgenre started from "Piranesi" by Sussana Clarke.

Black Sheep was also a bit of a disappointment for me last year, though the ending does pick up quite a lot. It took way too long to get there though... Great video, I find it so interesting hearing about the ways certain books don't work for certain people. Loving the regular uploads recently!! <3

The Eyes are the Best Part is one I was immediately able to put on hold at my library. The Good Girl sounds great, but I’ll have to wait and see if there is an audiobook since that’s how I like to read thrillers. Also, I didn’t know Julia Armfield has a new release coming count. Rita Mae Brown is a real spitfire and she will never, ever bore you. My copy of Rubyfruit Jungle is dog-eared and taped up because it's been read so many times. One of my favourite authors and I'm so glad people are still loving this book.
