@@biblioobscura My reading year was all over the place, I read 70 things. The best were a Graphic Novel about autism, a cozy romance, a psychological thriller, Scythe, Tender is the Flesh, Mr. Mercedes, Lumberjanes, Lore Olimpus and The penelopiad. (You didn't ask, but I wanted to tell you, hahahahaha=D)
@@annegc85 Of course tell me all about the good books!!!! Some I've read and some I haven't heard of! Lore Olympus looks so good! I want to read it! I love a Hades/Persephone retelling and the art looks beautiful 😍 🤩
@@biblioobscura Lore Olympus is available online too, I guess. And I think you don't need it, but there are some trigger warnings for "lighter than you are used to read" stuff, but maybe check them out =D
@@annegc85 Hahaha yeah I realised I don't have many actual triggers... only bad stuff happening to babies/toddlers & r*pe by a MC. There's a ton of stuff I don't read but that's because I just don't like it, not that it triggers me. So that's to say that it'll probably be fine 👍
Thanks for saying that! I sometimes worry because I'm not overly emotive or anything but ehhhh that's how I normally speak so... And yes. Justice for the apple peeler.
That's wild that you give out so few 5 stars, for me 5 stars is the default! Oh wow Dare sounds fun 😈 Really want to read Cursed Bunny! Things Have Gotten Worse sounds really good, I have to pick it up, just waiting for it the go on sale lol.
"the sport is not the important part" maam, this is a sports romance 😂 but I get what you mean The Dare is so good, I am honestly craving a reread. I haven't read the sequels either... For real is a book I think about often despite not totally agreeing with how all the BDSM parts play out. But I am a sucker for a newbie Dom learning the ropes (and getting his POV!), it's so rare. If were talking best books in a similar categories, I would say Like A Lion by Cole McCade, Shatterproof by Xen (CW for suicide attempt), Invitation to the Blues by roan Parrish, Two Princes by Maggie Blackbird and Her Soul to Take by Harley Laroux.
Sports romance... or romance where people play sports sometimes 😂 I haven't read the others surrounding Dare either... maybe will maybe won't... because I'm not into group settings so it was a complete surprise that Dare worked for me in the first place Yeah... I didn't feel like getting into the nitty gritty but I had some issues in For Real (around the safe words/outlining contract/etc). But for the sake of comparison to other "BDSM-y" romances, I do think it is beautiful and portrayed better than any other I've read. Open to suggestions if you have any! Esp newbie Doms (who aren't pieces of shit obvs) Have read Cole McCade and loved them before but Like a Lion is#29 in the series!!!! TWENTY-NINE!!!! I get nervous about reading trilogies... Her Soul to Take... I DNFd at 85%. I loved the demon(s) SO MUCH. But the female MC was so boring to me. Why did he like her??? Sigh Shatterproof and Two Princes are a yes from me! Added to my GR TBR 😘
