Hello I come from MaXpeedingRods, an auto parts company. We want to invite you to test our products. Can we have a talk?
Best DIY video. So much detail and insightful knowledge shared. Even specs on torque awesome. Watched the entire video.
Thank you so much! I truly appreciate the comment!!!
What size bolts were they
@2:06
Just did this today on my wifes optima. Thanks for the video as it saved me a lot of the hassle of figuring out what needed to be moved and the locations of certain nuts and bolts. Took about 3.5 hrs. Not too terrible.
Awesome to hear man, glad you got it knocked out 👍👍
@TheOriginalBeeCee so far no sign of a leak. I was adding a lot of oil between oil changes and it stunk because of it dripping down the exhaust side onto the heat shield and manifold.
These cars are notorious for burning oil as well, so I doubt it was just losing it from the VCG. there was a recall for it and everything. This car in particular was losing almost 2 quarts in a 3k interval
How many quarts should I add 4 for after I was told I need 5 qts I just don’t want to run my tranny dry
I used one of those z shaped is it goose? Spanner’s, it’s little by little but gets in there and takes bolt out. This is the only video I’ve seen where the emergency brake is not adjusted with a screw driver through the whole?
I just bought my friends 2013 Altima 2.5 it has 270,000 miles engine and trans still run good
Nice! Good to hear!
Does this fix the idling putt putt putt (like it wants to stall out). Curious to know?
Thats a pretty subjective question to be honest. There are multiple things that could cause that symptom at idle. The spark plugs/a misfire could definitely create that symptom at idle, but it’s not a guarantee that is your problem. If the plugs have never been replaced, or haven’t been replaced in a while….you can replace them, since they aren’t that hard to do and they need to be done anyway at that point. But typically plugs have to be pretty bad off to really create a bad idle. Might be worth it to have it properly diagnosed. Is check engine light or anything on?
@@TheOriginalBeeCee yes will go to autozone in the week. Thank you
Apparently you can use a 10mm ratchet wrench on those inverted torque bolts
Cool, never bothered to try it.
i just bought s 91 gt w sunroof. my seats are in similar condition. what did you use to clean them with? any help is appreciated. mine is currently black but the oem color is vermillion red.
Nice man congrats on the purchase! But I’m a detailer by trade..so the seats were just an everyday thing for me, but I just APC’d & extracted them!
But my belts, clutch is going…so what to do 🤷🏻♀️I need the clutch to engage and disengage
I did the swapping of coils replaced #4 and the other 3 Coils as well as the spark plugs, replaced the O2 upstream sensor also it runs good now ... Check Engine light turned on again and now it has a multiple misfire , the O2 bank 1 sensor 1, and the misfire on coil 4. Yet it's running normal no hiccups?
Its possible you might have something more going on…definitely something that would be hard to troubleshoot over the internet without seeing the car. I would have it diagnosed with a higher end capable scanner and it would probably reveal the route cause in a couple minutes.
Thank you for the info and video!! I bought a 2018 Nissan Altima with 70k miles. Should I change everything like you did? Or drain and fill? Thank you!!
Thanks for video, but where did u get the cover gasket ?

My transmission pan got hit while driving down the road car only has 70000 miles would I need to flush 2 times or can I just go ahead and replace gasket and pan and add fluid thru overflow as you did thanks for your time
Also does the fluid need to be Nissan or will valvoline be ok
You could definitely just fill it, but nonetheless the FSM doesn’t recommend the flushing process for no reason. I touched base on this and the fluid in the last 5 minutes of the video. “What fluid” is a very opinionated subject, I would suggest doing some research yourself and utilizing what you feel comfortable with.
Sounds good thanks for the advice appreciate it.
if anyone else is uncomfortable about the "feel it" torque spec: the upper, 8mm bolt (12mm head): 16ft lbs (22Nm) lower, 10mm bolt (14mm head): 33 ft lbs (45Nm) everything else he did was solid.
What about the wires, what order do they go in?
What was that plug in device you used with your phone? Where can I get one? Very nice video. How many quarts of cvt fluid will I need overall? Thanks again.
Good! But if transmission is low on fluid will make that noise(rare). Best to take it to the dealer because sound like is air on the transmission
The problem in many cars like Honda people think they are Philipps screws, they are not they are Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) screws and you need to use a JIS screwdriver which is easy to get.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do I need to drain the oil first?
Nope! I would have mentioned it if needed.
In my opinion: I would just soak the screw in Marvel Mystery Oil the night before & go for a drive to heat things up before using an impact gun. Heat always is a bad idea because it compromises grease, warps rubber seals & metal parts. It softens parts & annuals them shorting service life. Northern Yankees do dumb stuff like that just like how they pop off exhaust manifold bolts because someone used a torch on a previous repair. If it doesn't work, probably best to drill the head with the smallest bit passing through the inside of the screw & drill off the head. You can remove the rest with an easy out. Striking a bearing hub is always bad because it always spaulds the bearings. It's another reason not to let anyone else work on your breaks because they'd go for the impact driver first because it's the fastest thing.
Well, I guess opinions vary, eh?
Great video, very helpful thanks!
Appreciate it! Thanks for the comment
my car battery went dead while bleeding my brakes. After i finished the brake flush, i jumped the engine but then immediately the check engine light turned on. I went to autozone and code ABS malfunction and traction off showed up on dash. not knowing what to do, i removed the battery, check engine light turned off for now but for how long?
Modern vehicles don’t like loosing power. Most will throw every dash light when power is low/battery is bad. Just a random example…Honda’s for example whole dash lights up with low voltage/bad battery. I’m sure it just didnt like not having correct voltage. You should be fine. If there was a real issue the light(s) would have been back on immediately.
Brother you’re an amazing person and truly understand the basic person trying to not mess anything up. Truly appreciate your video and the quality more than anything!
Thank you! I truly appreciate your comment!!
Bro I'm elbow deep in this and I've dome all the same shit but one of the long bolts that's right under the pulley just goes all the way in with nothing to thread it too. I didn't strip it, I never got it to even start by finger. I've checked alignment and I'm in. I have 6 in and still nothing will even start to catch. Its a long bolt, I don't understand how it goes all the way in and catches nothing
Its bolt number 10 on your chart
Never mind. I dropped 2 of the long ones when I put it in with gasket and mixed them up. Jesus
Glad you got it sorted 👍👍
So is there an actual Dip Stick for the Trans? Been looking for one for a while now?

Yep I noticed the same drift on my 14 2.5 and I also replaced control arm with the beck although I'm not getting the balding of the tires ..
Well if they are bad/going bad, really only a matter of time!

I just blew mine out with air
Definitely can do that too! I actually did use air on one side to I just didn’t capture it on camera.
I have a 2019 Altima and I already had to replace my too because the rubber is already torn too. Nissan probably have a bad design or used cheap materials. LOL
Everything is cheap these days really unfortunately
Very informative video. I'm inspired to do this job myself. Thank you kindly sir.
Awesome to hear, appreciate your comment!
such a helpful video. I’m lazy so just drained and refilled. Better than nothing. lol. Thanks for the tutorial😊
Lol i appreciate it!
Holy shit this was so easy to follow. Great video! Wish you had one on changing the starter on this car.
Appreciate the comment 🙏🙏🙏
That filter inside of the pan on the valve body is to filter out course metallic filings. If it looks pretty good and clean, it is unnecessary to change it. The paper cartridge is the most important to change for fine contaminates.
This is not a complete fluid change. 1/2 of the fluid is in the torque converter and valve body. To do a complete change, while the trans is hot and vehicle is running, you need to break into the trans cooling output and input lines. Using a pump, you put in as much as it comes out until it is clear new fluid. Do all of this then replace the filter behind the trans cooler. Then check with car level using the overflow drain plug removed. After fluid is drained, replace the overflow drain plug. You now have the proper level and have done a proper trans fluid change out.
Finally! A video that explains it all! What I needed! Thanks BeeCee!
Thanks for the comment!!! 🙏
FOR EVRYONE ! IF YOU CHANGED THE SERPENTINE BELT TO GATES OR NOT OEM IT'S THAT XD I KNOW YOU DONT BELIVE BUT IT IS
Hey bro, huge shout out to you. Just ordered all my stuff off rock auto gets here tomorrow. I took the old water pump off today ready to put a new one on tomorrow thanks to your video.
Awesome man! Good luck with the rest of the job…..appreciate the comment!!
That clip isnt rubbing because rust build up. Look where your pads hook. I bet they're wearing a grove in the carrier.
Good afternoon, greetings, thank you for this video. Exactly the same thing happened to me in my Ford Explorer and I was able to solve it just as you did in my case. The fuse was broken. I changed it and that's it. It worked 100%.
Awesome to hear! Glad you got it solved 🙏
Hi watch this before doin mine so I remove about 4 quarts then when I open the overflow plug and I remove a little bit over half a quart and the drip still going so I just put the plug back? Should I put back the half quart I removed?
Just needs to be at a slow drip, doesn’t need to be completely stopped. So probably after half quart you could throw it back in.
Did you ever change the filters? Great video
czcams.com/video/fOOtLmGvK2A/video.htmlsi=3d5LO5Ru21SMrsEL
I bought the same brand you did but the alternator won’t budge into place
Something has to give my man. It does need some persuasion to find its way home
Diag/signs of bad alternator: Battery light comes on. Check volts on the battery and on the alternator with a voltmeter. Good battery should be 12.5 V car off and cold, 13.7-14.7 V while running, alternator should match battery V. If V are good from alternator but not the battery it is probably a bad battery. Car won’t start. Check volts on battery and on alternator with a voltmeter Check serpentine belt to make sure it is connected Check computer for codes Procedure to replace alternator -Remove battery connections (negative first, then positive, make sure the connections are clear) -Remove coolant reservoir to make space -move power steering fluid reservoir but do not remove -loosen the tensioner pulley to pull the serpentine/drive belt off the alternator - remove wiring harness (push tab in and pull to unplug) -remove 2-3 bolts (depends on year) that are keeping alternator in position (you can use a magnet to catch bolts, or hand loosen -Now the alternator will move, remove bolt from from the positive cable wire -Install new alternator in reverse order and replace items that you removed. Ensure serpentine belt is on correctly -Test new alternator and battery voltages
How much should I be paying for a brake job on my 17
Thats a pretty subjective question..really depends. Depends on who’s doing it, if you’re buying parts or their providing the parts, etc. me personally i would charge $225 in labor for this job.
