The red 87 is priced fair IMO. But you're right on the condition statement! Good luck with your project!

Here in east Tennessee you can't find a clean 87-93 mustang Gt for under $10,000 unless its been carb swapped or has some major issues

Beautiful, I'm biased I have the exact same car. Truthfully when I bought it almost 20yrs ago it had the same really crappy paint things, I was going to paint it but but it just costs too much, it's amazing what a buff does and rocked like that...yeah it's flawed but still looks great and I like not worrying about every little rock chip. I did drop the skirts off, sanded re-primed and top coated just rattle can paint. The shock towers were good on mine but check by the inner door hinge bolts like look really carefully, just prepare yourself before.

Awesome man! Thats super cool! A buff can definitely go a longgg way. Unfortunately for me, with all that needs to be done….bay, floors, etc…. A buff isn’t going to get me too far lol. I actually did fully buff it, but there are too many flaws on this thing for me lol. But I wouldn’t be surprised to find more rust once i got this thing fully stripped.

Nice man congrats on the purchase! But I’m a detailer by trade..so the seats were just an everyday thing for me, but I just APC’d & extracted them!

Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s a 1965-68 mustang in similar condition could be had for around or under $1000. Fastback closer to $1500. Sometimes less.
I say this because Fox mustangs are more availablevtoday than those classics were then.
Adjust for in flation and it should still be less than 2000.
T-tops may or not increase value but thatvis subjective to the buyer.

I hear ya man! I agree! I like your comparison.

I don't know if thats a fully accurate comparison, I mean I get it inflation and all but I remember looking at Autotraders back then and you could buy all kinds of 2nd tier muscle cars for under 4k. Like 350 equipped 69 Camaros, 350 '72 442's etc. The kind of Mustangs you're talking about for under a 1000 (at least here) were clapped out 6 banger coupe roofs. Nobody and I mean nobody was paying 1k for a fastback Boss or code this or that. Should a clapped out notch 4 banger be cheap? yes like take it off my property cheap. The way things should be and the way things are, are 2 different things.

Hard to pay big money for fox when you can a nice gen 1 coyote for 20,000.

Not everyone likes the coyote.or the s550. Id drive a 4 cylinder notch fox over any mustang older than a 04 model any day

@@2camsam coyote’s are obviously great motors, but as 89gt5.0 mentioned..not every one would want that car in particular. Me being one of them lol.
I’m all for a coyote in a fox, but i prefer foxes over any other Mustang platform…as do many others. All a matter of preference.
Nothing wrong with paying good money on a fox as long as it’s what the buyer wants & prefers, and it isn’t overpriced. A overpriced car & a car with a high tag thats actually worth it are two completely separate things, of course. Generally…i think these cars are overpriced as I outlined in the video, but there are still some great examples out there that are worth the price tag to those of us who desire Foxes! 🤙
