  • What's up everybody!
This is a review/how-to on jacking points utilizing a floor jack and jackstands on a 5th Gen. 2010-2015 Chevy Camaro.
...Sorry the video got so long, but I like to be thorough as possible to eliminate any potential questions so this video can help everyone from an individual who's never wrenched before, to an individual who might be a mechanic/tech. For all my experienced individuals, you can obviously skip around to find the info you need...whether it be torque specs, part #'s, etc. etc..
*DISCLAIMER: I am NOT Master Tech, just a long time wrencher.
Car in video is a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro 3.6L V6.

I'd use a small section of 2x4 to spread the load for the jack stand and use the obvious lift points a dealer or shop would use

Thank you for the walk through. I am about to replace my rotors and pads, paint the caliber and caliber bracket and exchange the brake fluid. This will help me to assembly line the repairs especially the fluid exchange / brake bleeding. Two thumbs up!

It’s amazing that such a heavy car car be held on those four thin edge plates?!

I have Dayton 3 Ton Low Profile Jack and I have no room to get the jack on the cross member. What do I do?

You could ride it up onto some boards to give you some clearance is one option…

Could the reason the red one has those links is due to it being convertible and needing more frame support?

    • @TheOriginalBeeCee

It was a convertible! I thought that might be a possibility why, but wasn’t 100 percent.

@@TheOriginalBeeCee My 2013 Convertible has them too.

@@bobnoxious1630 makes sense! Looks like the convertibles all have the added bar support.

Just noticed something else about those extra braces for the convertible. They run all the way over to the front pinch weld jack point. Keeps you from being able to properly mount the billet jack pads there.
