1993-2000 Ford Ranger Oil Change (4.0L OHV V6)

Whats up everybody!
This is a DIY how-to on performing an Oil Change on a 1993-2000 Ford Ranger 4.0L OHV 6 Cyl.
Torque Specs included.
*DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a Master Tech, just a long time wrencher.
Truck in video is a 1996 Ranger 2WD 4.0L OHV 6 cylinder.

My 1999 ranger is leaking oil from out of the oil filter so it’s really nice to have a step-by-step guide on how to change the oil and replace said filter. I believe the gasket on my filter went bad because before I bought the truck it sat in the same spot for a year, when I bought it I also had to change the fuel pump too

Seals on oil filters can definitely fail. I’ve definitely seen it a few times, usually from prolonged changes. These trucks are notorious for the oil filter adapter leaking as well….so just ensure it was actually the filter and not the adapter or the adapter in addition.
