I bought one of these plants in April. In a 2 inch pot. It is now in July huge! Six inches tall and the babies are coming in the bottom. I’m going to propagate some for my son. I have a plumeria I bought at a drugstore 23 years ago. It was 6 inches tall now it is at 6 feet. I can’t wait to see how my Chinese money plant will look like in 23 years!

I haven't lost the love of plants, but my availability to care for them has fluctuated, so the NUMBER and TYPES of plants that I'm keeping has changed. I've given many away---too fussy, duplicates, too large, needs more light---and I'm trying to only have the ones that I have optimal conditions for. This has, in turn, reduced the time I need to tend to them while at the same time given me more satisfaction because I'm surrounded by healthy plants that do not cost me sleep (checking for pH, collecting and filtering rain water, misting moss poles, pruning, inspecting and treating for pests) or loads of money (in initial purchase...plus grow lights, humidifiers, cabinets, special substrates, pest management, distilled water, specialized fertilizer, semi-hydro pots, trellises, and such).

Hi, I need help with my spider plant for the last 2 weeks I have repotted about 4 pots from the mother plant. Because I thought he needed repotting. But when I did, the plant had droopy leaves and the leaves broke or snapped too. What do you think I should do to help my plant and to make it happy again?

I’d like to have a sheet that I could print out that has the information on how to care for this plant and how to propagate. What does it look like when it’s to dry or wet etc but I can’t find one anywhere. There is plenty for other plants but not string of hearts so far

I feel like mine hates sunlight. Even indirect sunlight will make them hang. Doesn't seem to care much for fresh air either when I open the windows. Well, I'm managing at least. There's been almost no browning so far at least (I think just a little bit on one leaf). It's fussy, but I feel like I'm getting a handle on it. Also bought a tool to measure the moisture level of the soil since my fingers just weren't cutting it, a filter for water (probably not necessary where I live though) and a plant spray thingy to wet the leaves once or twice a day. Also there's no need to use a humidifier. Especially not near the plants. Unless you live in a place with really dry air. But if you have normal air, that kind of level of humidity is enough for them. Consistency is better than constant change.

Hoya can be a beginners plant if you buy it and only water it when the leaves get soft. When they are hydrated the leaves will be hard. Although different ones can slightly differ in watering times, but the most popular ones that they sell in the big box stores can be easy if you simply water when the leaves get soft! Then leave it alone until they soften again.

It’s been 8 months now since Clea (my calathea) and I met and we are still so madly in love! She was my first plant ever and everyone told me she would be the worst plant to start with as a beginner, but she has been thriving ever since

Got my Rubber Tree Plants (2) over a decade ago, the all green variety. It's gotten really leggy with long stems and a few leaves on the end of the stems. South facing window. One plant has some new shoots in the pot. So.... I'm thinking I will cut back the stems though they will have no leaves on them and root them in soil. I'm not sure, so I will watch your video on propagating. Any info on why they get leggy would be helpful. THANK YOU!

Mine is thriving outside for three years on a covered patio. Luckily where I live it stays above freezing in the winter.

I wonder how the leaves got so shiny. I clean mine very well and they never look like this.
