- I still can't believe it either... This years houseplant shopping challenge we go and check out my local convenience store to see how many plants we can get for $50 or less. I was not expecting the kind of plants we came across, I knew these convenience stores would sometimes surprise me, whenever I would go and check out their indoor plants, but this blew me away. You can imagine that I pretty much failed this plant shopping challenge. lol

No convenience stores like that in Alabama I have to drive an hour to a nursery or 45 minutes to Lowes but that store near you is impressive for sure. I’m envious. That would be a several hundred dollar cart full for me! I’d have to pass on that allocasia I have a hard time with them $100 is a lot ona plant that I would most likely kill 😢 I’ve managed to keep my Hilo beauty alive and growing

That store has more varieties of plants than the nurseries and box stores in my area. WOW! Even common plants I've bought most online.

Beautiful variety of plants, the owner knows what he does ! But some plants are a bit expensive !

I live a major city and I don’t even have a convenience store, just a million coffee shops around me.
OMG! That convenience store has more rare plants than most plant nurseries here in Arizona! I'm so jelly!

Plant enthusiast always fail. I go and I just wanna look and see what they have. I did that Friday and came back home with perlite, orchid bark mix, 2 trio star calatheas, Prince of Orange, and one Dottie calathea. 😁

Thats my kind of convenience store! The owner is clearly a plant lover too! Plants are at easy access but hey you may have to move a few to get the icecream or dog food you need. Lol!
literally obsessed! in my 41 yrs on this earth I never gave a second thought to plants. Literally laughed at my new neighbour for the amount of plants she has in her house and balcony. And just one day out of no where I learned about the calming and air purifying properties plants have and now im obsessed! Clearly others are too as there are channels like this!!! i have discovered an entire new youtube world LOL

This, weirdly, fed my desire to go plant shopping. Beautiful plants there! I just bought a Hilo Beauty last week (for 5 euros)!

I enjoyed this so much! I was putting on makeup and watching/listening and every time you gasped I would look at my phone and gasp "What!?" Right along with you! 🤣
This was sooooo my experience yesterday! So many rare plants are hitting the market! I found a rooted full starter plant of PPP for 75! And found an epic philodendron goeldii and monstera Peru each for 25! ♥️ I was so excited, skipped round the shop to compare and pick :D

The store has more variety of plants then Lowes or walmart here in Ohio. Plus I would have put my budget aside so many wishlist plants

I would have def bought the camouflage Alocasia you bought and the pink Syngonium and the Stingray......OH! there were so many I would want to buy. Yesterday I went to a small local supermarket for grocery shopping, I got the groceries that I went there for, but also got two new plants ^^
A variegated Schefflera Arboricola, I've never seen the variegated kind before in person, so I had to have it
and a Tradescantia Zebrina
I already got the Tradescantia Tricolor variant and this one was only about 2$ in Danish Kroner, must buy haha
I would certainly have gone waaay over budget with all those beauties in this video.

Omg I wish I had a convenience store like that in Washington! 🤩 I just had so much fun plant shopping with you. 🤣😂 it’s a good thing you’re on the other side of the continent, because if we plant shopped there together, we’d both have easily ended up with a cool $1K worth of all those beauties! Plant “budget” is really up for interpretation. I’m also so glad to know that I’m not the only one that goes back and forth so much when choosing a plant! 🪴😅🤔

I love this episode, purely because of the joy of finding some amazing plants and the indecision that plant buying does to us all, shown in your character. I would definitely have bought the Hilo Beauty, the Cissus Discolour and the Homalomena feeling guilty for how much I spent but then as soon as I find places for them at home that guilt disappears and then thinking what plants I want next, LOL.
