Doug, it's not scaled down, because it's not meant to be inspired by american cars from the 50s. It's actually scaled up, in order to bring the european post-war cars up to a modern size, like the Vespa 400 : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vespa_400

I think mechanical roof it's way better then automatic one, a lot of stuff can just be broken or leak

12mpg??? Wow, I had a 2010 Tahoe with an AFM delete on 31” tires and drove it like an idiot and got 11.5mpg…. Pretty disappointing fuel economy, that’s kind of unbelievable…

All very well for Doug in sunny California but here in Ireland it rains so much that the roof would need to be up most of the time. Now I'm 6ft 2 inches and was seriously considering buying a Figaro about 10 years ago but as soon as I sat into it sadly I knew it wasn't for me as my head was touching the roof 😂. I'm pretty sure Doug is taller than me so I'd be interested to see him trying to drive it with the roof up.

Cruise Control was a US thing - not present on UK cars. I had a UK one, same year, same colour. We also had a number of options in the UK, the front splitter, wheel strakes and boot lid spooler from memory - which the previous owner of mine must have selected. I do regret having sold mine.

These buyers will spend the extra for longer/more expensive service and maintenance. The ''blurring of the lines'' between the classes has been really apparent the past generations.

I think you're missing the point of this car Doug, it's not meant to look like a 50's American Car it's meant to look like a 50's small European Car!

We are lucky enough to have one of these in our family. Definitely the coolest and most unique car I have and probably will ever be in.
