Cars And Bids taking over the hyper lux market
Tavarish is going to buy it and swap all his body panels onto this one to finally be done.
you should link up with Tavarish and show his off. Would get alot of views
I really loved this P1 and went to buy it. Unfortunately, it wasn't available in my favorite sky blue color, so i had to improvise and buy a used 1992 corolla instead
i have a p1 for you... it would look great on your corollas dashboard (be sure to glue it tho)
i had to google it if u lying and it says its available in sky blue color
🤣😂
I just got one ........... in Forza lol
@@KINGVONFRM063Too late. Already ordered the Corolla, and there's no refund available. Can't let my money go to waste like that.
I’d imagine that the fact it’s the 69th P1 would raise the value by 100k at least
Nice

current bid is 690,420$... lol
@@facksmasheen Lmfaooo it is omg
This is relevant to my interests.
Would look nice in your garage!
Do you know the chassis number? Do you have the plaque?
You need a parts car?
If I bought this one, I’d pull the electric motor out and increase the V8 capacity to 1500 HP, how about you Freddie?

My Dad's company made PCBs that are in this car. I programmed the pick n place machine that put components on those boards... I hand delivered them to the HQ. I'm so pleased to be a tiny part of it.

What is a PCB btw?

10 years later the P1 still looks jaw dropping, such an incredible timeless design
Frank Stephenson knows what he's doing. Legend.
That green is epic also, what a magnificent car!
@@jamesyeiren7920 but green is my favourite , just imagine isle man green on it
Man, crazy to think that car is 10 years old.
@@encoreartz1028 I'm with you, that green is awesome... Bet it looks even better in person on a nice sunny day.
For those who won’t see it, the 2nd and 3rd bid on this car was $420,690 and $690,420, respectively.

Wow your likes went from 69 to 96 😂
only the best for chassis number 069!
Crazy that this thing is 11 years old. I remember being super hyped for the holy trinity just before they dropped. I remember Jeremy clarkson and chris harris rip it around a track. This has been my favourite of the 3 ever since.
The p1 being a decade old is so crazy to me and it still holds up today like it could’ve been released yesterday nothing about it looks outdated love this car.

Hey Marques, we want to see you talk about cars with Doug in a podcast. I am confident it would be so much fun!
@@AhmedMJ97 exactly!
Why is infotainment so bad in cars? Maybe you can make a video about it
@@user-qi8jx8ek5q because these are car manufacturers, not tablet manufacturers.
Can we all appreciate the fact that Doug returned to film in the old filming location. Much more appealing than the C&B HQ.
I hope Doug continues to film there.
@@AhmedMJ97 Couldn't imagine filming this green indoors, would be insane disservice, like it even is for any vehicle. We need outdoors, sweaty and dirty knee Doug!
@@m40dotDemuro hopefully also do the filming in Italy with this P1.
2 years ago I was lucky enough to be a passenger in one, at a track day, in the wet. I've been the pilot of some world class jets but nothing made me feel like a baby like being driven in this. The sound and stiffness just makes you bite your lip. It's a masterpiece
Love how the rear is glass so that you can see the engine, and then the engine has a cover so you can't see it.
4:45 nice
Beat me to it
That adds extra value
Nice. Also 12:45 temperature reading.
nice

Giving it just an 8 in styling is a crime
Barely a 7
Agreed! This is an 11 out of 10 all day.
Yea I agree. The P1 is the most pure and timeless design of that trinity imo
He might’ve given it a higher score if McLaren didn’t make so many models based off of its design after and that statement remains true by just comparing it to its brothers like the 675, 570, and all the other three digit brothers it has and it’s brothers who are HyperCars or just about
I honestly don't get why he mentions this "all mclarens look the same"-thing so often. If you ask a member of the general public to name a specific ferrari, porsche, lamborghini, etc they'll struggle just as much, and I really don't think this is any more similar to a 570 than the LaFerrari is to the sf90/458. I honestly think this is one of the greatest modern car designs, the sculpture at the back is insane, so to denigrate it simply because someone with zero car knowledge might theoretically confuse it seems obtuse.
THIS! is the exact review and enthusiasm and excitement episode from Doug that drew me in to his channel 7-8 years ago. I now love the P1 all over again. mission accomplished.
My oh my how far you've come to be able to say some of the things you say and get away with it! Koodos!! You worked hard and long on a new approach to car reviews and I'm very happy for you. You worked your way UP! 😁👍 Thanks for so many make and models from the whole car market.
4:41 Now that's the nicest P1 I have ever seen.
Takina Inoue also love the sound of the McLaren P1
Doug: An engine cover only a trained professional is allowed to open

Cool review, I'll always remember the P1 on Top Gear, both for Jeremy Clarkson's smitten review and the three way race between it, the LaFerrari, and the 918 where they were 10ths apart.
In my opinion, the two best colours are Napier green (but that custom fussion green is amazing too) and McLaren orange to pay homage to Bruce❤😊
Clarkson’s review of this car at the Spa racetrack is one of the greatest pieces of automotive television ever in my opinion.

Production number 69! That’s gonna be good for an extra $100,000 to $200,000 for sure.
Is there production number 96?
WTH is the difference
I'd bet number number 1 is worth the most
When Doug started cars n bids I thought it was dumb, This guy isn't dumb. When content got thin hr spun his auction to his giant audience where he features the cars he sells which makes content which make sales that make content and on and on. Nice job Papa Doug. I live pretty close to you I see you around here and there. You have a giant head
Hell of a car to get on cars and bids, congrats to the team!
You should give this P1 in particular an extra credit point in Cool Factor for the production number. 4:45
Nice
They should've changed the number to number 29.
THANK YOU for filming outside in the OG location. Inside the warehouse/dungeon is no bueno!
I freaked when I saw this video pop up lol one of my all time favs! Automotive royalty!! Crazy how it's stood the rest of times 10 years later. And the sounds it produces just so damn cool car!
Pure driving experience, bringing that smile on to Doug's face, not a quirkiness or a sense of nostalgia, pure driving pleasure.
Man I got so much respect for Doug he’s the best car guy on CZcams hands down no matter if it’s a basic Toyota or a hyper car like this he does his research and gives us all the information we want and need 🔥
It's so funny that you just made this video because I'm currently saving up for one of these! I should have it by next week! In Gran Turismo 7 though...... still expensive
Doug: “Under the hood, which is actually a carbon fiber engine cover that only a trained professional is allowed to remove…”
Tavarish: “…and I took that personally”
Chisato Nishikigi when seeing the McLaren P1: SUPERCAR!!!
Thank you for doing this review outside and not in the bunker! You are no longer in Philadelphia. The weather is nice, and the people are less overtly hostile. Please keep the reviews outside. If I'm watching you review outside, at least ONE of us is outside. Longtime fan. Peace and love. Peace and love.
“Almost never sunny” accurate tbf
Not if you live down south 😉
Sick
Still looking fresh and modern
But my fav of the holy trinity is theeee 918
I had opportunity to work on three P1’s (black, light blue and Orange). This car is so incredible in person and looks far more exotic than most exotic cars you see on the road. Is is still my top 5 favorite cars of all time. This car truly has a soul!
Best video I've watched so far this year
I just see a Pepsi button
I saw one on the road when it was new and unsurprisingly 14:44 is the view that I had of it in the dark with those distinctive lights on.
Thanks for going back outside Doug 🙏 love the setting
Really enjoyed this review. Never really associated this car with laferrari or 918 due to all the reliability issues but now I get why it is. Love all the F1 inspired performance.
Best. Car. Ever. 😍
People need to stop talking about this car or it's gonna be even more unachievable for me in 20 years...
I really enjoy Doug's reviews when he's THIS excited about a car. Really shows.
I got to see this exact p1 at the McLaren store in the Wynn in Las Vegas. It was gorgeous!
This is your third video of this car.
Yay. Outdoor review. This looks awesome in the sun
Dang I really love that emerald green paint job. Very pretty.
Just ordered mine yesterday super excited
This is still my dream car. Love everything about it especially since it can keep up with a lot of hyper cars today plus the taillights are to die for
That's a great spec. The green looks fantastic
I was at one of those airfield top speed events, where a bunch of rich people take their hyper cars or modified cars and do top speed runs. I was lucky enough to see one of these go and bone stock with the wing turned off it did 226 miles an hour. 3.3 mile airstrip I think.
I’ll never forget the day I saw a orange P1, with the wing all the way up casually driving down the freeway, what a sight to see!
Fun fact: I saw this exact car exsctly 10 years ago at Motorworld Böblingen when it spent some time in Germany for some reason. I sadly don't have the pictures any more but I distinctly remember seeing a bright green P1 and there's only one in that color
I just went on the website and got to give props to the photographer. Really great shots!
I love this video ! Will you please review the Ktm gt2 or gt please 🙏🏻
Wow that color is stunning. Absolutely love the P1
The most beautiful and greatest car ever made, easily my favorite. I could talk about it forever. Thanks for the video Doug!
😮 truly a work of art. I will be curious and following to see if it sells.
That color scheme is just insane. So striking. So beautiful. That has to be the prettiest shade of green I've ever seen.
Outside reviews are so much better than the garage, thanks Doug
Glad you were able to get out of the garage for this one, papa Doug!
One of the holy trinity. No matter how old it will be it will always be my fav hypercar as well as the other two in the holy trinity.
One thing I find entertaining about these vids is Doug's own quirks and features in how he presents these cars. lol ... This guy is the reason why i have the car I do now. I'd have never known there was a new BMW Z4 and .... now I own one. haha
I can't believe that 'holy trinity' is 10 years old already... Remembering the hype that I got when they first came out like yesterday!
damn I just saw this exact same P1 at the McLaren dealership in La Jolla a couple weeks ago & it blew my mind to see it here on Doug’s channel right now! 🤯 it’s a beautiful car 💚
I never get tired of reviews on this car, its simply beautiful and aging like a fine wine. 🎉
I love the green, rare colour for a sports/super/hypercar
I love the ”the key is the online ordinary thing” and then comprare interior with ”any toyota or honda” xD
Amazing video!
I use to live in Woking and was around a 5 minute walk from the factory up until about 3 years ago and I've still only seen one P1 on the road
yay outdoor review!
Manny’s fully carbon fiber P1 was glorious
Shows how cars and bids has grown, huge respect!
Ahhhh another crazy rare review and I'm still waiting on the CLK GTR review!😢
Pretty cool when you can do a 25 minute commercial for your own company (and get a fat commission from the sale).
The best of the Holy Trinity.. A decade later it still looks very modern and futuristic.. The design is just timeless
What an amazing machine! This will be fun to watch!
THANKYOU FOR FILMING THIS OUTDOORS. I WATCHED A FULL VIDEO OF YOURS AFTER AGES. I STOPPED BECAUSE OF GARAGE VIDEOS.
God knows how long ive been waiting for this
THANK YOU!!! This is your third video of this car.
Such a beautiful machine, and good to know they are ip68 waterproof as well!!
I like how this Channel has pretty much just turned into a video sales ad for cars and bids.
These reviews are so much better when Doug is outside and standing
yeah, this was my fave mclaren and this color is perfect, jelly.
IDK if this video was filmed a while ago or if Doug just wanted to make a change, but it's nice to see y'all film outdoors again. Filming in a gray studio is less interesting and i like the visuals in the sunlight more.
I didn't realize the P1 was THAT rare! I was behind one for a while on an interstate and lost my mind
Thanks for reminding me to put in my bid
I love that they added a button for when you encounter a DRS zone
The first time I've seen the McLaren p1 was Forza Motorsport 5 and the Need For Speed 2014 movie. That's over 10 years ago man I feel old.
How Dare you Douglas!! FYI we had at least 10 days of Sunshine in the UK last Year!!🌞🤣
After a decade this one still looks way better than most modern hyper beast! ❤❤
I’m glad you went back to the old filming location. I prefer it over the new, dark, gray concrete garage.
this car has reserved a place in my heart and it will always be
That HDMI shape exhaust is dope. I would definitely buy and then re-body with a geo metro body sedan for the ultimate sleeper 😂
Nice doug! Hope c&b sells it for record money 🎉
Such an amazing performance machine!
Doug, living the dream, 2 t-shirts at a time.
No way Doug got a P1 on cars and bids. He must be so hyped
20:59 - W221 S-Class 😀😍😍
Such a cool old school interior, no needless screens or shiny black plastic.
It still has a horribly sluggish infotainment system when it could have just been buttons and dials.
what a Nice chassis number, well done sir.
