Hero 12 vs Action 4 - One is Good, The Other is GREAT!
zhlédnutí 4KPřed měsícem
Gopro has long been the heavyweight champion of the action cam world. Practice makes perfect so, seeing as they’re now on their 12th iteration of the Hero, that ought to be no surprise. But the times, they COULD be a changin‘. With the fourth generation of the Osmo Action series, drone giant DJI is putting forward a strong contender for Gopro‘s title. The question is, which one is best for use ...

Just put them my Tiger 900 after running Dunlop Trailmax MIssions. I’m in Idaho where it’s 80% gravel. My confidence level has at least doubled. A bit noisy on pavement and perhaps a bit squirrels as well. I’m not after scraping pegs so not a big issue.
got mine some day's ago, realized i got to remove the passenger grab bars on my fz8, now i got open holes by the passenger seat... Time to get out the 3d scanner i guess
Would have been nice to see the buckle of the wheel!

revisited this post COVID what a loverly sound track.
Exciting video. Glad I watched
Yeah, best idea for riding Norway - always always find the old ways over the mountains or around the ferries if possible. They're bound to be mind-blowing. But yeah... don't speed, that's jail time, and watch out for sheep. 😂
You sir are a star. I had just done my throttle bodies and the damn thing wouldn't start. I pulled it apart again but when I tried it again I turned the ignition on and off couple of times to build fuel pressure and it started. That convinced me it was the pump. I searched for a CZcams clip to see how to do that job and found this video. On inspecting the bike. guess what, Bingo.
Very hastig to have helped John! CZcams is the gift that just keeps on giving, eh?! Happy riding!!
Awesome explanation, subscribed!
Thanks! Happy to be of service!
I got lucky; I actually managed to visit Norway in the middle of summer and got a literal week of heat and sun, which is basically not a thing in Norway. Trollstigen was an incredible experience, but not an incredible ride - there were buses and shit all the way up (I rode it in the other direction than you did at first in this video). No doubt the incredible weather contributed, the place was jam packed with buses, cars and motorcycles. Your visit was comparatively empty. With my fear of height and only some pointy rocks between me and death, I was a bit stressed out, ngl. 😂 Still, Norway... quite possibly the best place in the world to ride motorcycles. Just bring rain gear. And don't speed, if you want to not do jail time while broke from fines.
That was lucky! TBH i count our trip as being very lucky too. Into every tour, a little rain must fall! We were also pretty lucky with the traffic too, though dusty weather and early starts really helped!
Old video, but I wanted to ask what you thought about the Tracer 900 vs the FZ1, since you have ridden both. I had an FZ1 for a while and absolutely loved it. Do you think the Tracer 900 is the natural evolution of the FZ1 style bike from yamaha? Which would you choose?
I really enjoyed the Tracer 900. i wouldn’t necessarily say it’s the natural evolution as it was quite different. Very different power delivery and riding position. As I’m now a convert to the adventure bike, I’d probably go for the tracer for better comfort and a more torquey low end. Plus the CP3 sounds fantastic. But either would make me very happy! The newest tracer 9 made far less sense to me though. Looks great, but was uncomfortable, odd equipment spec and the motor felt somewhat breathless.
@@AndyManCam Thanks for the reply, youve been making great videos for a while so I definitely appreciate your opinion. I am on my way to the adventure bike as well, I am 198cm and scrunched over on a Z900rs at the moment. Hard to beat that CP3, but I agree about the new tracer, the engine is long in the tooth for the heavier platform, weird array of radar cruise control and gadgets but doesn't have the older generations pep. Thanks again, ride safe!
Who designed this and when
Wow !!!
why you mount sensor on arm and not on rod?
Because that’s what the instructions say to do.
Most Honda inline 4 seems to have this nasty buzz and vibration around the 5000-6000 rpm range. I've seen this first hand on CB650F, and have heard it exists on CB650R.
I heard somewhere (unconfirmed) that Honda didn’t bother with balance shafts, to reduce cost and complication. Not sure if it’s true, but the buzz was angry and spoiled a great bike for me. Could also be fueling as it seemed less with high octane fuel.
Why use the dedicated usb unit. Why not simply sim next a usb outlet to one of the spare terminals in the supply unit.
You could. But I used this one because Healtech sent me the USB unit with the Thunderbox and I‘d sooner trust their electronics than any no-name, 10 € USB charger that you can buy on Amazon. I’ve since upgraded to an Optimate O108 USB charger. Quality bit of kit with more power than the Healtech one.
Another quality video. Amazing scenery and really well shot! How’s the Aprilia going?
Thanks very much! The Aprilia has just excelled itself on a 6000km trip to Romania. Videos are naturally en route!
Poltergeist ?
🤷🏼
Mine came with the Aprilia hard cases, top box etc. have to say they are good but wow, expensive
Just bought one Andy, one year to the day I tested it at ABR, on road only
Congrats! It’s an absolute weapon even if it’s only on the road! Enjoy!!
This is got to be the best review of the CB1000R. Well done Mate! Cheers.
Many thanks indeed! 🙏🏻
Ah, brilliant! The place you ended up at is Vole, which is a great launch spot for paragliders and hanggliders. Too bad there were no pilots there at the time, the wind looked about right 😎
Thanks! I reckon that the freezing temps was probably putting the pilots off! Can’t imagine there were many thermals to ride!
Yes, “drop a lit match into it!” I always do that to cardholders out the old gas. It’ll burn out that tank liner 💩 too! But don’t try it indoors, kid. 🙀🙀
😂 brilliant! Old school cleaning! I‘ve got a plastic tank now, so probably best not!
Very useful and informative !
Thanks David!
Your Welcome.
Im 6-5 and 260. Is this motorcycle to small for me?
Just happened to me! Going to pick up a kit as I watch this video! What a penis!
I have a 2009 that is fully uncorked and dyno tuned.
Good job😅
Wow. No more ktm. Just catching up
I am just catching up. Oh wow. Gutted that the Cb1000 is gone. Good luck with the ktm
Dealers are dealers
How did this work out in the long run? Thinking about doing this .
Nice sketchy control Andy. Looks like proper fun!
Cheers Mike! If it’s not sketchy, it was too easy! 😜
Same fucking thing with my Honda. Bavaria bought, first ride, touch screen don’t work, warranty claim, pictures, clips what not, for something that Honda knows about. Followed by oil consumption , rust and every other problem on the forums…took 14 months before tft, was changed and another silly pcv valve was changed. Took the bike with silicone smeared all over, plastic clis not cliped….love the bike but man I’ll never buy one again
Love this video. You could be going half the speed and still have more fun than any exotic car out there
Wow. Hope you still have the CB. What a review!!! Even had a sprint with a sports bike! Prob just needs a small puig screen, aftermarket cruise control and heated grips. ❤
Love this video! I am considering this bike. I love how Honda designed the air filter to be serviced without having to undo the fuel tank! Be careful with k&n filters. They seem to allow a lot of debris thru and into your engine. Oem air filter czcams.com/video/ouO32BH8hAg/video.html Vs k&n air filter czcams.com/video/o6jtE-mLchw/video.html Piston bin from aftermarket fiters czcams.com/video/yzUnqcGR0Hc/video.html
Why am I so drawn to this bike? I sold my Monster 1100 and want to get another bike. The CB1000r has more power than any Monster or most nakeds. HONDA reliability and no fuss of all the Ducati recalls and issues.
It’s a very attractive bike with great power delivery. Sadly poor paint quality and awful Honda customer service put me off.
@@AndyManCam sorry to hear. If I get one i will nake sure to coat the engine near the bottom with something and add the sw motech guard. You did most of your own maint. Was the paint and how the dealer replied to it your main issue?
@@MattieXMoto That, and the realization that my size and and the type of trips i do don’t really match with a sporty naked bike. I needed more space and a bike i could throw on the floor, without crying about it.
@@AndyManCam i will continue to follow the adventures
Subscribed. Did you sell your Honda CB 1000r?
Thanks Mattie! Yes i did sell the CB1000R. First for a KTM 1090 Adventure and after that was crashed into, an Aprilia Tuareg 660.
Absolutely Incredible!!!
Cheers Sheldon! It wasn’t the ride i was hoping for, but still very enjoyable!
Nice.
Cheers Doc H!
Nice and informative Video and great sound quality. Ordered my CB1000R Black Ediiton just recently :) Want to be touring through germany as well, next year Sweden / Norway or Italy. BTW: which Motorcycle did u start on?
It’s nice from time to time to take the time to soak up all that’s around you and enjoy the moment. Life can be very frantic and frustrating at times. Chill, Relax and enjoy the moment. Stay Safe Andy
I totally agree mate. It’s something that I’m trying to do more in my rides. It’s not all about flying past everything!!
Excellent video, greatly scenery and commentary 👌 thanks for sharing 🏴 🏍👌
Strange brit fooling around in the middle of nowhere.
Pretty much! 🫡
Hi Andy that music really does add to the dramatic landscape i like it a lot.
Thanks Dave! Sometimes the music takes longer to get right than the video. Glad it worked!
Oh no! So terrible with that last patch of snow. Now you have to take another ride up north😂 Keep up the good work👍
I know, right! Mother Nature says NO! You could be right about a repeat trip though!
Excellent video. Thank you! Makes everything clear. Question: is there an issue charging the battery after the Thunderbox is installed?
Good to see you back & out there Andy. Enjoy your Norway rides & always amused by your dry humour & banter. Our son left Australia about five years ago & now lives & works out of Oslo. Regular trips (expensive & so far to go) for us to visit, but what a magnificent country. Some ride gear next time as my son has a BMW R9 T Scrambler which I must utilise on the next trip. Who knows it may venture beyond the cafes of Oslo😅
Thanks Russell! That is a long way to go, but at least it’s worth it! Imagine if he lived in Coventry in the UK (nobody wants that). The scrambler sounds too good to pass up! Enjoy!!
