- The new bike has arrived! Although the need for a new bike came about due to unwanted circumstances (see the reasons why here:
• GAME OVER for the KTM ... ) there‘s no getting away from the excitement of getting something new!
Join me as I introduce you to the new steed, show you the extras it came with and ultimately explain why I chose this bike over all of the other great options.
The choices were:
Yamaha Tenere 700
Suzuki V-Strom 800DE
Aprilia Tuareg 660
KTM 790 / 890 Adventure R
BMW GS
KTM 1090 Adventure R
Triumph Tiger 800 / 900
How do you feel about my choice?!
Let me know in the comments!

Sounds like you did your research and have made the right decision for you, and that's the most important thing. Doesn't matter what we ride, as long as we're happy with it, and it makes us feel good and smile. Enjoy. Lovely bike by the way 👍
So absolutely very true mate! Just the same as how it doesn’t matter how fast you go, as long as it felt fast! 😅
Interesting choice Andy - bit left field but fully understand your reasons for going with the Italian beast - Enjoyed the video as ever, enjoy your new bike!
Cheers Andy. I’ve always been a fan of the underdog and so far am loving the choice that I’ve made! Awesome machine!
Expected the T7. With all Italian vehicle purchases you bought with your heart and you’ll fix it with your head.
Lol
But you’ll ride it with every single ounce of your soul! 🇮🇹 🛵
I couldn't agree more... you gotta love what you ride... so i get my blood pressure up and goosebumps with my 790 Duke and i get my more tame boring sewing machine rides on my DR650 which i need in the trails cause I am an adventure beginner as well.. :)) lol great videos man love your content!!
Ain’t that the truth! Luckily i found a bike with low enough power to be usable off road by a newbie like me, but agile and thrilling enough to still tickle the undercarriage on the road! Best of both!! 😍
AMC, "Be a racer". The Aprilias are great. I have my self an 2017 RSV4 and I love it. Welcome to the family and congrats on the new bike.
I wish i could change it to ‚be a bit racey‘ so the mrs wouldn’t be so convinced I’m wheelying all over the joint! 😂 Very happy to join the club and hopefully it’ll be for a good, long & happy time!
You are so articulate in your reasons for liking that bike. At the end of the day the thing has just to speak to you and put a smile on your face. Yours seems to have both soul and personality.
Thanks! It really does and this bike really lights a spark under me! 🥰
I stood next to one of these in the dealership, they are surprisingly big! Wishing you all the best with your purchase. Great to see a bike that's slightly left field amongst vloggers. 😊
I know right! Looks WAY bigger in real life than in the pictures. I do like to try and be a bit different, wherever i can!
What a beauty Andy! Great choice mate, I rode one and loved it too. I love picking up on your excitement with the ride, I only hope the plumber isn’t as excited!😬😉
Thanks very much! No surprise that you love your 660 so much. Great motor! You know the saying, happy plumber, happy life… or something.
Your logic process and analysis is identical to the conclusion I reached that led me to buy a Tuareg 660 in June 2023. An interesting fact is that the cargo weight carrying capacity of the Aprilia Tuareg is only 14lbs less than what the BMW GS1250 can carry! Another point - the Aprilia Tuareg 660 has a TWO YEAR WARANTEE while the Yamaha Tenere 700 only has a one year warantee. That helped convince me.
The Tuareg is an incredibly capable machine, and there is a novelty and fun factor in riding a bike you will seldom see elsewhere. My nearest dealership is 143 miles away, but after the initial 600mi warantee service I will do my own maintenance, so distance won't matter. I considered the same bikes, KTMs, Suzuki D800 and DR650, BMW, even the Ducati Desert-X at the upper end; and the findings were the same. Compared to the competition the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is either a better machine, a better value, or both. A Guzzi V85TT is appealing to me in a different way, but I went with the Tuareg 660 for its better off-road dirt ability.
Picked mine up last Friday and she’s having her first service on Saturday. It’s been an absolute joy putting the 600 miles on her in the first week, I’m absolutely Loving it 😍
What an absolute weapon this bike is. She’s So confidence inspiring and it’s so well balanced. The engine is a peach.
I’m in the UK and am a motorcycle instructor and I’ll be using this for DAS once I’ve qualified. Won’t use it for CBT as have an MT07. That’s one of the reasons i chose Aprilia over Yamaha. It’s got a lot more character for sure. I used to race motocross as a kid cannot wait to get my crash bars and new guard and get some green laning in❤️💪👊
Bloody well done Andy. Really thought you were off to Yamaha but that Aprilia looks the nuts, for me tubeless rims and bigger tank would do it. I also went Italian for my new bike and am now at a time of life where using more of the power of a smaller engine is much more rewarding than impossible 1000+cc bikes. Look forward to your next trip on the 660.🤟
cheers Steve, Italiano FTW! You and me both! 👍🏻
Congrats on your new machine. I have two friends that have them and they both have enjoyed them and the experience has been pain free so far. The heat in the seat is the only issue they have mentioned. Enjoy your new machine. I have a KTM 390 as one of my bikes and it has been so much fun. So enjoy your new steed and keep posting videos. Ride safe !
Thanks J&J! Glad to hear that! I’ve already got the self adhesive silver stuff ready for the seat in summer (might as well get some benefit from the warmth in winter eh?!). Utterly loving the bike so far though. So rewarding to ride and can’t wait to see what it’s like in the dirt!
Congratulations Andy hopefully many happy miles n smiles ahead
Thanks 👍
OMG! “…the plumber is doing me a service.” 😂😂😂 I’m crying!
Credit where it’s due! 😉
Congratulations, I know one person who has one and he loves it. 😎👍
Then now you know 2!! 🥰
Congratulations on your new steed! That bike had had many excellent reviews, even from die hard Yamaha fans. Life itself is a gamble and hedging one's bets at every opportunity turns living into mere existing. Look forward to your next adventure!
Thanks Matt. I couldn’t agree more. I’d rather have an experience and a few stories to tell, than have the same bike as everybody else and nothing new to add! 🙌🏻
@@AndyManCam Absolutely! See you in the next one!
Til then! 🥂
Love your new bike hope you are still enjoying like I am still enjoying my fz6n. Just watching this video in my cruise ship docked in your town Hamburg, pitty it is Easter Monday and not much open but have brunch in the city. Really enjoyed it.
I made the same decision a month ago and have ZERO regrets. So many unexpected niceties, like the accessibility of the wiring for adding hardwired GPS and aux lights. The air intake sound is like a Tuvan throat singer.
I have no trouble believing that. I‘m absolutely loving it! I’ve already wired the GPS into the USB feed and as it gets colder I’ll probably stick some heated grips on to the plugs behind the dash too! And that noise…. 🤤
Congrats on what looks like a future of vicarious fun for all of us. Very jealous.
Thanks! I’ll do my very best! 🤙🏼
Congratulations on your choice
The bike looks great Another CZcamsr was upset that I told him he was with the herd if he bought a BMW 1250 gs:))
Too right!! Never before has a bike been so overhyped, overspecced, overloaded, overpriced and ultimately totally underused! 🐑 🐑 🐑
Congrats!!! What a beautiful bike!
Thank you!
Genuinely did not see that coming after the test ride! Hope you enjoy your bike has a great sound, great colour. Just picked my new bike up yesterday changing the screen already 😂
yamaha .....to honda.....to a nightmare
@@sebg2086 if that’s a nightmare I think I’m in for a bigger one 😂 I went for the Norden 901 👀
Thanks! New screen of some kind is almost always a given!
TBH i think the Honda was already the nightmare!!
you had a lemon honda.....really rare.....as rare as a good Aprilia@@AndyManCam
YYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAASSSSSSS!
WELCOME TO THE APRILIA FAMILY, ANDY
Thanks LLS! A family im very proud to now be a part of!! The Italian gets way more looks in the carpark than either the Honda or the KTM did! 💃🏻
Tingle and fizz over reliability any day. My 890 has had zero issues but now that I have said that something’s gonna fall off. But for how fun it is on and especially off road it’s worth it to me.
100%! Until something goes wrong… 😂😅
Like the bike a lot, i think smart choice.Wish you lot miles with this bike.Have fun!
Thanks, will do! 🤙🏼
Looks like a superb choice, Andy. Looking forward to some great adventures 🙂👍🏻👏🏻
Cheers Terry! Me too!!
You had me fooled for a bit with the Tenere vid 😂.... Awesome choice 👌👍
I think i had myself fooled too! Until i slept on it a few nights and the Aprilia just made far more sense.
Congrats on the new steed! Looking forward to seeing your adventures on her. Refreshing to see/hear you talk about middleweight options in a world of bigger is better attitudes 😎👍🏼
Thanks again Andy. This bike has totally changed my entire biking world. It’s all a numbers game and nobody needs those numbers! On the road, i can go just as fast as everybody I’ve ridden with since i got it! Absolutely love it!
love it, I had a Tenere 700 and so hapopy to receive ma Aprilia tuareg next week. So fun and so light... Great motorcycle I'm sure
I’m certain you’ll love it! I utterly adore mine and have a grin on my face every single time i start it up!
@@AndyManCam So good, what a nice motorcycle. Love the lightness and the sound and the facility to drive it. I want to stay on it all the time :)
@atuareg70 i totally agree! Absolutely fantastic machine!
Congrats on the new machine, super choice. Wishing you many happy and safe miles and adventure's. Nothing to woory about the electric's on Aprilia, I owned an Aprilia for 7 years(Caponord model) been all over Ireland and Europe and never ahd an issue or a failure.
Thanks Mick. That’s very reassuring to hear, cheers! 👍🏻
Congrats mate, hope you have a good one and long miles with the bike :^)
Thanks very much! So far the only issue is that the battery goes flat if i don’t ride it for 2 weeks. Otherwise, loving it still!
@@AndyManCamwelcome to the piaggio family. My guzzi v100 mandello is the same-Italian electrics like to discharge the thing when it sits for a few weeks
really liking the tuareg, congrats and many miles to the new bike
Thanks very much mate!!
Congrats on the new bike, it's a beauty!
I think so too! Cheers!
Congratulations, that engine is fantastic.
Thanks Pete! I totally agree. It’s hard to believe that it’s ‚only‘ 80hp!
Congratz Andy. It's not a Caponord, but at least it is an Aprilia !😉 I love them, owned 3. Many safe kilometers.
I almost got a Caponord instead of the KTM. But was nervous about the electric suspension on a used bike! Otherwise, awesome! Loving this baby Capo so far though!
Nice bike! Quickshifter + Blipper are a real gamechanger, aren’t they? So much fun and you are more focused on your riding line in tight corners 👍🏻
Yes they are! Just bosh it up/down and get on with finding your entry/exit while enjoying the pops and crackles of joy from the pipe! Love it!
Congratulations sir!! Lovely looking thing. I was pretty repulsed by the looks when the press shots first arrived in my eyeballs, but saw one in the flesh a few weeks back and it's rather tasty!
Here's to more great adventures!
Cheers Sam. I felt the same! Although, much as now, the specs and performance really spoke to me. Thankfully, i think it performs far better than the numbers indicate. Plus standing next to it, the sheer size makes it seem like a formidable beast. I love it! A big dirt bike that can deal with everything it seems!
T7 CP2 engine is a legend even after 60 000km not a single problem, let see the Tuareg after those km. I wish you many km and have fun 😉
Glad to hear that! Fingers crossed the Italians can match. I guess time alone will tell! Cheers!
Fantastic stuff Andy, hope you have many smiles per miles on it mate 🙂
Many thanks Pete! Smile counter is already very high!
@@AndyManCam awesome to hear
Long may it continue!! 🍻
Nice. I am sure you and Aprilia will be very happy together and produce lots of happy miles of vlogging videos.
Hope so! Cheers!
Nothing like that new bike feeling loving your enthusiasm! I reckon you have made a good choice looking forward to seeing how it goes 💪👈
Thanks! I think the enthusiasm was increased by the gloom of being forced to ‚lose‘ the old bike!
Good luck with this seat. Old people in my country say: "from horse to donky".
I’m actually very happy with the seat so far. On the motorway it’s a bit pointy, but then that’s been my experience with all bikes. In the twisties, it’s perfectly comfortable.
Welcome to the world of decent quickshifters and blippers. Haven’t done without either for ten years and don’t think I could now.
On the topic of bikes with lots of power vs those which don’t, I get that we live in a world of speed cameras and so on, but I still like knowing I can outpace everything on the road - if I want.
It’s astonishing just how good the quickshifter is. In both directions. I’m happy that I can outpace 90% of everything on 4 wheels and so far in the bends also most bikes I’ve ridden with, despite vastly inferior power numbers. It’s not the size of the boat but the motion of the ocean!
Congrats Andy! What a surprise! Didnt think you would go Aprilia route! Wish you many happy trouble free miles 🍀🤞 see you around Hamburg!
Thanks! 😃 Bis dann!
I celebrate with you! I´ve got the very same bike 2023 model, just in Acid Gold - and I´m loving it! Thinking of swapping for the comfort seat as yours. I am a novice at dirt riding, but interested in learning my ways on gravel roads here in Norway. I live in the countryside so there´s pretty much dirt everywhere, forest trails et cetera. I have experienced the bike without changing a click on either suspension, and i can concur with the fact that the front end is a bit divy, so that pre-load might just be upped a bit. I find it a bit hard to single out just what settings the suspension should be adjusted to for an optimal all round use without riding around with clamps and spanners at all times, so I´ll take it to a bike suspension expert at a local garage this spring. And lastly: Is that SC Project can worth its pennies? I have the stock, but that six-year old nipper that live inside me is yearning for that SC Project, although the more sensible me tells me to stay away. Oh the decisions of a motorcycling life, eh? Great videos on your channel, Forza Tuareg 660!
Then congratulations on getting the best bike available too!! 😉
I’m not entirely sure with regards to the SC project. It was on the bike when i got it, so i don’t really have a direct comparison. I think most of the awesome sound comes from the airbox, so the SC it’s probably mostly weight saving and looks.
Mate, CONGRATS!!!!! This is amazing news. GREAT choice 🔥👌🏻 She’s a beautiful engineered machine. An Italian weapon. Win -win all around. You get a premium bike. Plus no doubt will grow the channel, while hopefully bringing us phenomenal content and cinematography as usual. 2 thumbs way up 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Mike! It’s a good sign that this is my best performing video for a LONG time!
Congrats on the new bike 👍 I hope you got home in time to give the plummer a handshake before he left 😄
High fived him on the way out. Happy customers all round. Didn’t hear a peep out of the missus or the leaky taps for hours.
Ah Limbächer, yeah. They are one of the big boys around here and they always seem to have semi customised bikes which are probably done like that inhouse to spice an otherwise average oldy up. Good shout I'll certainly discount looking at bikes from them in future. Nice bike mate 👍
It’s odd that both times i wanted to buy a new bike, they had exactly the model i wanted, at an incredibly attractive price. But i can confirm that there will NOT be a third time! No matter HOW attractive the price is!!
Congratulations on the new bike! I was convinced you were going with the Yamaha after the last vid. Do love the induction noise. Glad you back on the road. Ride safe👍
Cheers Jason! I thought so too mate, but the Aprilia just made far more sense. Awesome bike and loving it so far!
I laughed at the pixelated image of the bike in the beginning, pretty certain is was the Tuareg - the only bike these days w/ that wonderful high exhaust. I too, lovingly, have this bike. I've covered 3k miles plus, loving it. No problems I couldn't easily adjust, no failures, so far. I loved as you waxed poetic, and it felt familiar w/ my own decision making over time choosing this bike. So we'll ride on.
Haha! The question is always easy when you know the answer! 😜 The Tuareg really was the obvious choice. Still loving it after 5000km 👌
Congratulations on your new bike mate I am looking forward to watch your new adventures on the bike..
Thanks Darren! Already 5000km done so there’s a bit of new content in the can already!
Well done and congratulations! I had a 890 adventure (105hp) as a loaner recently. It had just as much useable power off the line as my 1290. I could see one in my garage in future. Enjoy the new steed!
Thanks!! I can believe it! Up to 60 mph i notice no real difference in power from my KTM 1090. sure i might have to work the gears a little more often, but with a quickshifter, that’s a feature not a problem!
So happy that you ended up with the Tuareg. Welcome in the Aprilia family, I bought a Shiver 750 back in February, and love it to bits. In fact, I most likely would buy the Tuareg too if I had the money, in the same color. Can't wait to see the content with it!
Thanks very much, happy to be a member! Hopefully I’ll continue to love it as much as i have so far! 🫶
I am currently seriously looking at this bike. I did what many of us do: look at all mid-mid-heavy bikes. I ended up now exactly were you were months ago. Triumph 900 Rally Pro to heavy after language, and to high. Not going to spent more money on lower seats ect. In NZ, the Tiger cost $7000nz more. I am looking for an easy to ride fun bike. Yami T7 to high and top heavier than this bike. This will be my 1st "adventure" bike. Boy how I hate that word. I rode a Suzi 400c and a Yami XT500 but that was many years ago in the army. Sport bikes and sport touring was my thing all my life. Now 63, I want to do and experience something different. The Kawi 1000SX will still do the Sunday rides but I want to start to explore other avenues and gravel road touring. We in NZ do have opportunities to go through farms on sheep/cattle trials for many many km's, nothing really bad, just up and down the hills. Lots of rivers here. I will definitely need 50/50 tires as it can get muddy. That will be my new thing. We only have about 6-7 Aprilia dealerships in NZ and they are far apart, so naturally, it makes me nervous. Thx for the input. Very helpful.
Really chuffed for you Andy. 👌🏍 As an ex demonstrator, I’m sure it’s already been ‘run in’.
I’d be riding it pretty normally, albeit without caning it just yet 🤔
Cheers MM. it was a very underused demo, so i still took it a little bit easy. Didn’t thrash it but didn’t baby it either. 👍🏻
Congrats m8
Cheers Gaz! Another one joins the adventure crowd!
Like being back to the Versys days.
I know right! Getting back to the roots!
@@AndyManCam Smaller capacity engines are just better especially with all the average speed cameras these days.
My thought exactly...modern 600-700 cc bikes with 80ish hp are more than enough even if you have panniers...friend have 890AdvR and that's already a beast
Glad to be of help, Your Plumber😊
Lovely Bike Andy! Can see the appeal. Just about to get a Tuono Factory ‘21 to keep my ZZR 1400 Performance Sport and Monkey company. So interested in your thoughts re the dreaded reliability issues.
Thank you for posting. Beautiful bike. Enjoy it in good health. Love the red. :) Great choice.
My pleasure Dexter! Agree it’s a beauty! Many thanks!!
Considering how disappointed you were with the initial test ride, I wasn't expecting it.
Disappointed with the immediate experience, but thankfully got enough from the test to make an informed decision 👍🏻 And so far, not regretting it one bitbit!!
Good luck with the new bike, looks a real Italian beuty, Just like Sophia Loren. I Hope the plummer managed to service your waterworks ok.😂 All the best, Gez
Thanks CBP! Taps are still leaking, but everyone is happy! 😜
🤣@@AndyManCam
👍🏻👍🏻
What a beautiful ride, man! It's a shame I can't get one in Brazil, where I live. Aprilia has left the building, so to speak. Sounds great, sensibly kitted. Good luck and ride on!
Sorry to hear that Adriano. It is an awesome bike, but it seems that in lots of places Aprilia is in decline. Shame, because their bikes are finally getting really good!!
Riding a Multistrada V2S (950) so pleased you’ve also gone Italian. After three GSs I love the feeling of riding a bike with some passion and a brilliant induction roar, oh and 25kg lighter!
The noise and the lightness are already worth the price of admission! So much fun to ride and so very rewarding.
Nice bike. Keep the rubber side down and may the rain always be behind you.
I have the horn to get a Royal Enfield Himalayan, getting back into smaller bikes 😊
Thanks very much! And may the same be true for you dear boy! I’m LOVING the ‚smaller‘ bike so far. Definitely the right choice! Not least because i get the same range as the KTM, despite 4 litres less capacity, my road tax is 40% less and the insurance is the same despite having a new bike and moving back to the city center! Winning!!
Congrats! Looking forward to see more from the Signora! Greetings from Munich!
Servus! She’s proving so far to be the second best signora on my team! 😜
Oh, was not expecting this, so fair play for fooling me ;-) May it last far longer than the late KTM. Change the oil regularly and I'm sure it'll run for donkey years. Electronics are the bane of all modern bikes.
i certainly hope so. Considering it only takes 1,3 litrs of oil, that shouldn’t be too tough! We shall see
Strikes me that this is a bit of homage to your old 650 Versys but with the off road capabilities required for your new direction... looking forward to more parallel twin rev bombs I've been missing since wandering away from your vids...and you have every rite to chastise me for that Mr. Mancam😅
Absolutely right Robert. Definitely a nod in that direction. Except the motor is more refined (with more go) and the bike is noticeably lighter! Possibly the perfect bike! Glad to say that I’ve been missing the twin brraps too and all will be made right!
Something I've always noticed you do, and something I religiously do, probably subconsciously is cancelling that indicator!
Glad I'm not the only one, I thought I was a bit odd, well maybe I am but I'm not alone😂😂
It’s a real problem. I’m working on it though! The side effect is that i left the indicator on the other day! The Tuareg has self cancelling, but it takes a massive 500m to do its thing!
Love your delivery so subscribed to your channel straight away. It's was one on my shortlist as well but I went for a Ducati Scrambler in the end as my riding is mainly around the city and some small back roads.
Congrats on the new bike. Was surprised to learn about your choice but happy to see you are keen to start your new adventures on it!😁Looking forward to watching those.
Thanks Peter! I like to keep you guys guessing! 😁
Good luck 😊
Thank you 😁
“That plumber is doing me a service”, he’s doing someone a service 🤣
I’m glad you could see past the unfortunate test ride of the Aprilia👍🏻
I was quietly hoping you would go with the Aprilia. You got some great goodies too!
It had to be done. It just made the most sense and so far i don’t regret it.
Gorgeous! Love the fact you took the road less travel by (see what I did there with the whole off-road thing?!). Lol!
That’s a great looking bike, and I even like the perspective from the rear facing camera! (A bit higher)
When I mentioned the Guzzi in my last comment, I had no idea you were leaning Italian! Brilliant!
Have fun and watch your 6!
Thanks! Very nicely done 😉 I really like the higher camera position too, and without any unsightly scaffolding hanging off the bars/mirror. Sadly the switch to a Garmin has robbed all the space in that area, so I’m trying to find a way to still get the camera in there.
Congrats Andy on your choice I suspect future videos will have a few up and downs which makes for good entertainment for us. Hopefully not too much frustration for you..nice colour by the way(not all black) 👍
Thanks! Yeah I’m sure there’ll be some bumps in the road, but all makes for exciting viewing i suppose! 😅
Yes! You made the right decision Andy. Your logic for the Aprilia is spot on. Im a tiger owner, but even i know this is the bike for you. I remember how you really enjoyed that ducati 1100 scrambler, this is like a more modern version of that with a whole lot more flexibility with roughly the same hp. Wicked!
Absolutely right Julian. Same grin factor as the Scrambler 1100 was but in a bigger package, quicker/sharper handling, actual offroadability and WAY less money! 😍
Beautiful machine, Loved my Caponord 1200 rally and no issues in 18 months of ownership.
That’s very reassuring to hear, thanks mate! Especially as the caponord is a much more complicated machine than mine.
Have the same bike and colour. Love it for both tarmac and offroad on norwegian roads.
That’s great to hear! On road, it’s proving to be quite a weapon! Hoping to test the off road asap!
🎉Congratulations. Absolutely perfect selection for your exact wants and needs. May she bring you many, many years of outstanding trouble free adventures. Well done + keep up the fantastic work ❤❤
Thank you so very much!! Trouble free adventures sounds heavenly!! 😍
Nice one Andy, good choice. As you know I loved my Aprilia and never had a single issue with it. I hope you have many happy miles on it.
Cheers Mike! I can see why you loved it. The noise alone, coupled with great poise in the twisties (and this is a gangly dirtbije wannabe!) make it an intoxicating package. I also see why it hurt a bit. Even in this simple package, the servicing costs run almost twice what they were for the Honda 🤢
Hearing good things about these Aprilia. Congrats
So far i can add more goodness. Performance is very surprising.
Very nice Andy, wishing you good health to enjoy many many very happy miles upon your new Italian lady 🏍💨💨
Cheers Trev, much appreciated!
Congratulations on your new bike. Awesome choice.
Thank you kindly LBH!
Well done Andy! So pleased you have a new "character full" bike that makes you happy!! I see in my recommended list of videos to view - Big Rock Moto and his 6month review of ownership of the 660 - "Not for sale!!" Another happy owner :) I would treat your new bike to a full service after a further 300kms!
Thanks Graeme. Don’t worry, i naturally visited Ians channel several times during my decision making! 1st service is now done at 1000km. Will possibly do my own paranoia oil change at 5000.
Nice video,
I myself have had my Tuareg for 5 weeks now with just over 3000km driven. i bought it new.
My only regret at the moment is that the cruise control has no resume function. Hopefully Aprilia will come up with an update for this problem.
Grtz
Going to change your life. Just hold the the button and it resumes! I found this out by accident in Romania!
Well , I did not see that one coming Andy - if I had to bet my hard earned money and certin body parts on your new bike ……… I would have 100% gone with the Yamaha , your ride review for it was almost like a done thing , but at the end of the day all that matters is you have what you want and above all a bike again , I look forward to more great content with your new stead - well done mate.
Cheers Adam! I like to keep you on your toes mate! This was a real slow burner of a decision and I’m glad i took the time to let it develop! The crazy pricing on the Yamaha also helped me to go home and let the excitement cool off a bit!! 😂
Congratulations, and blessed by the rain already...
Thanks! Like a sneaky bully, the rain is always waiting just around the corner!
Congrats on the new bike Andy! Cant wait for your new adventures
Thanks! You and me both!
Congrats on the new bike. I admit I was a bit surprised after how the test ride went. I am going to be watching your videos closely as I have had this bike in mind since it has come out. I have enjoyed touring this year on my 2019 Tuono and it has been flawless so far. Perhaps for next year, a Tuareg will be beside the Tuono in my garage. Keep up the great content and enjoy the new bike.
Thanks CR! I got just enough from the test ride to tell me that this bike was a real contender. So far i don’t regret the choice a single bit 👍🏻
Absolute beauty, mate!! Well chuffed for you.
Thank you kindly Smokey old bean!
Awesome, what a cracking bike. I genuinely thought you would buy the Yamaha. But that is a fantastic deal you got there. Enjoy.
To good to pass up! I’d still be saving for the cash to get the included extras for the T7 this time next year!! 😅
Fantastic. I am glad you got the bike you wanted and lots of research really does pay off
Cheers Grant. Thus far, I’m a very happy camper.
Excellent. I look forward to you watching your new adventures on this bike. 👍👍👍. It does seem that in Germany it doesn't matter which manufacturer you purchase your bike from the service is diabolical!!!!
Pretty much! I’ve heard more bad experiences than good! I’ll be getting out of that groove as soon as i possibly can!!
Congrats Andy!
Thanks!🙏🏻
Congrats. I myself switched from Honda to a new Italian Bike (Guzzi V100) and so far I have no regrets whatsoever. And the Aprilia is a beauty!
Cheers Tom and here’s to the beginning of an Italian era! ☕️
The jerky throttle response on my Suzuki SV650a completely ruined an otherwise good bike. I was so happy to see it go.
It really is enough to kill the romance! It was the single most annoying part of the otherwise tremendous FZ1.
I got the blue and white and red Tuareg 660 and it is amazingly smooth throughout the strong pulling 270 crank engine even after adding one tooth to the front sprocket and taking off one tooth from the rear sprocket to keeping it under 6,000 rpm on the motorway
Glad to hear it! I’m hoping to keep the motorway miles to a minimum. But if not, I’d also consider a tooth or 2 less on the rear 👍🏻
Luigi touring screen works well on this bike. Not too big.
Sadly any screen i get will have to be approved for use on the German roads 🙈
Nice choice! I'm glad that you've managed to get a bike that perfectly suits your needs after that mishap with the 1090. The whole video really shouts out about your excitement 😁 I'm looking forward to seeing your next videos with Aprilia as I have absolutely no experience with them. I truly wish that the bike will bring a lot of joy and mininum difficulties as possible.
Thanks very much TheZ! I have high hopes for this one!
Great choice, real great bike that has what the T7 should have like cruise control and tubless tires!
Thanks mate! I totally agree! They really took what Yamaha created and built upon it. I bet the next T7 will be a belter!
congrats
Many thanks!
Welcome to the Piaggio experience! As custodian of several new V85TTs it will interesting to see how you get on. Would add they are a much underrated platform and they are all day comfortable.
"Self cancelling" after 500m+". Will be interesting how well the seat fabric holds up. Fuel filler looks similar to V7. Will be interesting to hear your views the blue tooth interface and route guidance. Wonder if the bolts will need regular tightening and attention the lock nuts are not quite nyloc.
Spot on re the power . Most people don't/can't use anything like the output of their bikes. A genuine 80 in a usable package covers most real needs and questions the rider abilities if it doesn't. Read somewhere you only need a genuine 35bhp to hit and hold the "ton".
Look forward to the trips.
Thanks! Glad to be a part of the family. Here’s to many years of pretending the concerns don’t bother me and concentrating on the grins! 🍻
