On behalf of every norwegian, I'd like to thank you for the music, tumbling and facial expressions, it adds to the drama. We tend to forget that, living in the middle of it.
This has been a great series. Really enjoyed it.
You’re so very welcome! On behalf of the rest of the world, I’d like to thank you for your country!
@@AndyManCam You are welcome back i enjoyed the serie as i have not seen all those places my self even i live in Norway hehe and i am a biker my self 👍👍😎😎
And i am happy you find the drone lol 😆
What a wonderful tour!! absolutely loved all of it, Thank you for all the FAFF and Editing time.
Thank you so much Ron and entirely my pleasure! 😇
Production excellence as always Andy 👏👏 from me. We've all done the drop and the drop. I'm no longer allowed a drone, my bank balance doesn't alow it
Cheers Mike! At least you have a decent excuse for no drone, rather than being too untrustworthy for one, like me! 😅
Andy, you're the man. Thanks for this content.
Very happy to keep you distracted for a few minutes! Cheers!
Norway just seems to be a never ending land of twisties and stunning scenery. Really enjoyed every episode of this series.
That it truly is! Every corner has another infeasibly stunning view behind it. It just seemed to never end.
What an epic trip. Totally envious.
Cheers Craig. Epic it was! Can’t really believe that I’ve finally come to the end of the series!
What a fantastic series, loved every bit of it! Twisties, scenery and some hiking thrown in for good measure 😅
Yeah, a nice relaxing wander in the gentle landscape!! 😂🤪
That was bloody great Andy I like how you keep it real keep them coming
Thanks so much Peter. Real is the easiest way, everything else takes too much work!! 😅
Great vid. Love the Brook Shields joke! For some reason that made me lol
Haha! I’m so glad that landed at least once! I almost didn’t put it in there!
Hey Andy, the fake dropping the bike and drone hunt to goose the ratings was masterful. 😅 Looking forward to the next series.
I know right! Genius idea. This scratches looked pretty real too, right?! 😜 Next series (and the one after) are already awaiting some editing action 👍🏻
A superb series, Andy, which must rank amongst the best of its type on You Tube.
I'm a bit of a sadist so I thoroughly enjoyed watching your treks through all bogs, slime, and shit.
So very kind of you to say so Jim, thanks. I did think that the viewing public would probably enjoy the disaster of the situation. Glad I took the gopro along for the ride!
Cracking series of videos. Definitely deserves more subscribers
Thank you very much Peter! Can’t believe it’s finally coming to an end!
I think the Norwegian government should be paying you two for being great ambassador for Norway!
I bet that cold tasted reeeeeeeeeeally good😉
Now that would be good! Especially as i went back there again the year after!! The cold tinny was truly heaven sent. But i fell into an exhausted coma shortly afterwards!! 😂
🤓all good glad you found the drone. 😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻
Thanks john! It was touch and go there for a while. I was literally about to give up!!
Amazing Andy, thank you 👍
My pleasure Martyn, thanks for coming along!
Stunning scenery and video again. All's well that ends well. A brilliant series!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Drone footage, so 2019. What a shocker of a day, but when its not going your was ya just gotta ride it out!!!
I am slowly beginning to agree. Even I have been using way less footage than when I first got the flyer. Like everything, the wave has turned into a flood and now it’s not new or exciting anymore. But when the footage is worth it and it fits… magic. As long as you don’t crash it and spoil everything.
Thank you so much for this astonishing series, Andy! Gripping storytelling, well selected music of local (OK, Nordic) composers, your lovely banter adding details of this trip. I am looking forward to getting more in the near future. Keep on cracking!
Thank you so much for watching Peter! Don’t worry, I’ve got plenty more where that came from, to keep me busy!
Nice arial shots of the Pulpit rock!
Thanks! Because i couldn’t get the drone any higher (automatic DJI altitude limits) i didn’t actually know that I’d captured it at the time!!
Thankfully you've got rid of that disaster-attracting Honda 😅
You’re damned right! That thing was a calamity magnet! I blame it’s upbringing. Lazy parents.
"Andyventure for the drone" Great series. A friend and I went to Norway back in August. The scenery is really endless - and the twisties
Thanks mate! They really are. Norway truly is the (biker) gift that keeps on giving!
Well done on maintaining your composure and sense of humour on the drone search. Nothing I would have said in that situation would have been fit for transmission!
Haha thanks Ferg. I’m quite frankly Little impressed at myself to be honest! I was in a constant cycle of self berating and pessimism, so the fact that there WAS anything transmittable was a shock to me too!
Loved every mile I'm very envious of your trip defo needs good weather clothing for Norway Rukka or Klim. You did well not swearing looking for the drone though such a professional ha!
I totally agree. This trip was made by having gear that didn’t care about the weather. Shame Ian’s tyres didn’t feel the same way! I was pretty impressed with myself on the swearing front too TBH!! 🤭
Just up to the drone going missing after the bike drop. Brilliant video because it's honest and I reckon you've got 'bike tour fatigue'. What a nightmare, searching for a little grey drone in all that grey rock 😢😮 only mildly funny weeks afterwards on reflection 😅
I think you’re right Brice. It certainly seemed like the bike just wanted to lay down too! I felt stressed just editing the footage, reliving the trauma!
Time for some bright orange paint on the drone? ;)
That was a cracking series Andy, I have definitely got to go to Norway now , thanks for all the effort, pain and suffering 😂 loved it 👍
Thanks Mike. Yes you must, but i can heartily recommend that if you fly any drones, be sure to land on at least 25% battery and don’t ignore high wind warnings!! Otherwise, take your hiking gear with you!!
I'm not gonna lie. It may have been an omnishambles, but I was glued to the screen and willing you on the whole way. Brought a little tear to my eye when you found your little lost charge.
That’s what it’s all about isn’t it! Nobody likes a tour that goes to plan! I’m very happy (but only in hindsight) that this little twist gave the end of the tour an extra kick in the drama pants! 😂 Cheers mate and see you in the next series!
Great videos. Inspired me to do a moto tour of my own. Great production quality.
Thank you so very much indeed Karan. Very highly appreciated indeed!! 🙏🏻
Andy…I’m glad you ride your bike better than you fly your drone!!! Once again, a really nice trip for us to enjoy with you. Keep em coming’
That is something to be thankful for! Although after 3 drops in one trip, I’m not even so sure about that anymore!! 😅 Thanks again Keith for coming along. Next one will be along soon!
Awesome episode Andy!! When you walked into that shrubbery it was instant "where the bloody hell is he going now?!?" moment. 😆 And the whole series is just fantastic! In the name all of us that can just dream of such a tour (for now), THANK YOU! I'll share it with people in hope that it can get some traction, it is certainly worth the time. Cheers!
Thank you so very much Mark. I’m glad the ‚WTF is going on‘ feeling came across as i can promise you it’s what i was feeling at the time! 😅 Thanks very much for the sharing. I think I’m proudest of this series out of all of them so far, so really appreciate the help to get the eyeballs! 👍🏻
Amazing....tension with a little light banter.....you da man!!!!!
Cheers Stewart! Nothing like a bit of drama to finish! 😅
Jeez. I’m glad I’m not the only one who has moments like this
I’m here to make you feel better! 😂
I’ve loved this series… great footage of a stunning country, loved the honesty and Ian’s ’Kenny’ commentary… certainly didn’t need to manufacture any drama did you??!!! Possibly my favourite most heartfelt and selfless phrase of the series… and I quote;
“…who else is fed up with drone recovery videos eh??…thinks he can take the most cinematic footage in the world… just looks like a penis when he goes chasing after it…”
I’ve never admired you more!! 🥰🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great work, Andy
Much love! 🤗🤗🤗🥰
Thanks very much Adam. I’m endlessly glad that you’ve enjoyed it. But no, definitely no fake drama required! Plus you can always count on me to be the first to call ‚idiot‘ when I’ve done something stupid! 😅
@@AndyManCam… 🤗👍🏼😁🤣
Great series as always. If i ever lose a drone i know who to call... 😅
Somebody else I hope! I’m gettin too old for this sh…
Wow, I got misty when you fell against the car.
And that was some of the most beautiful drone footage ever. But what a cost!
Thank you. Friend. 😊
Thanks TBOT. At least the video was worth the retrieval! Imagine if I’d forgotten to turn the camera on (it’s happened 🤦🏻♂️)
Every time i watched one of these "Norway By Bike" episodes, i miss my old silver 2019 Kawasaki Z1000SX. The only thing that bothered me enough that i sold the bike was the exhaust blocking the chain, making maintenance a pain. And that it ate up a front tire every 4000 km....
Those are pretty annoying things. Easy to forget when you see someone else enjoying the ride though!!
Fantastic, love the series, didn't think this was a hiking video.... 🤩🤩🤩
Haha! I like to try and keep you on your toes Nigel! Cheers!
Well done Andy. Always entertaining to watch your videos.
Thank you most kindly dear chap!
I would say ditch the drone, but you've already done that 😂
Haha! And the worst thing is that I ALMOST ditched it on pretty much every single flight of this trip!! 😂
It‘s good to have you here again! And thank you so much for this epic series of absolutely awesome movies - I need to go to Norway soon.
Thanks so very much, my pleasure! Get yourself there asap!
That bike wasnt making you happy at all! 😅 kind of glad its gone lol
Hopefully didnt ruin the experience because Norway looks stunning!
Nope, sadly not! I was so weary by the end of this trip, if the bike had been stranded, i probably would have left it there! But the experience was still magical. I just wish I’d had the KTM a year earlier!
end off norway calamity tours !!!, thank you for sharing the good and bad bits
My pleasure entirely! Despite the bad bits, for me the tour was a raging success!
Thanks for the work you put into this series Andy, absolutely stunning set of videos
My pleasure Jason. Thank you for watching them all!! 👍🏻
That drone rescue mission was quite an adventure. Love it ;)
I know, Right?! I’ll certainly never forget it!
And so all good things must come to an end…. But now we can look forward to your Tenerife trip :))). Loved this series Andy
Thanks John! Canarias will be along very soon!
Excellent series Andy, enjoyed every episode, thanks!
Thank you so much! I feel like a real mountain was climbed with this series. Both literally and figuratively!
Great vid once again. Nice having R2D2 back, the left thumb OCD, and your foreseeing the loss of the drone after dropping the bike was just perfect 😅
Thanks Michio! These dramas almost seem to write themselves! 😂
@@AndyManCam Are you SURE you didn't film the bike drop AFTER the drone loss...?? ;) :D
Sshhhhh, You’re letting all the TV secrets out! 😆
@@mattmutane5502 #storytelling 😉
Enjoyed the series!! What a story with the drone, could have happend to me aswell😂
Thanks Rick! I guess it can happen to each and every one of us plonkery who decides that they know better than DJI when the battery is dead!! 😅
@@AndyManCam 🤣🤣🤣
🤭
Oh dear, I’m the world expert on tour bike drops😢, any tour with an Ian is eventful, I can see where your sense of humour comes from🤣. Great series, very entertaining and I must get to Norway.
Absolutely! Never a dull moment! I must be in the running for some award with my drop record here! I think i dropped the KTM less while i was offroad!
Blimey m8! Only thing that was missing was a Bear encounter, ending with a good old scrap in the woods🤣
That would have made for a very different ending… if they ever found the camera! I think if there were bears, I’d have just said goodbye to the drone and gone for a concelatory coffee!
👍 Great video, good to see you got the drone back as you do produce some quality droneage.
Looking forward to the next series
Thanks very much TTD! There’s going to be a break for a little while with the aerials, but I’m sure that AirMC will fly again!
Lovely expedition, glad you enjoyed Norway!
Thank you Matt! I really really enjoyed Norway!
@@AndyManCam it is a fabulous place, if only the weather had been better. I reckon you couldn't have been more fortunate in that respect. See you in the next one!
Mate, thanks for the fantastic views and great videos.
My pleasure Andrew! Thanks for coming along!
Really sorry to see the end of an epic series of videos Andy, as the say, all's well that ends..errm, without death or serious injury! Personally speaking, I only fell over once on my tour 😂. Can't wait to see your exploits on the late lamented 1090!
As one door closes, and all that. The lack of death was definitely a good ending! 3 ditchings is definitely a new record for me! Hopefully the 1090 vids will do the poor old girl justice!
Great series mate well done really enjoyed it ✌️
Thanks very much Alan! Cheers for watching despite the long waits in between!
Great views! perhaps we should all take up hiking!! Nah!! but very entertaining :)
Haha! Nice idea, but i can’t recommend it in bike gear! Knackered!!
Dang, nail-biter last ep! Thx, it was a blast to watch 🙂
Cheers! Nothing like a bit of drama to finish with a bang, eh?! 😅
Stay positive :)
Always! Laugh or you’ll cry! 😅
this is why i wont travel alone with big heavy bike😅too heavy weight when you need to do a stop (even for a picture)
It can be a real worry. I’m sure that i‘d have been OK to pick up the Honda alone, but it’s always nice to get some help! I had to haul the KTM 1090 up several times alone on the second norway trip. But it’s really important to ride on something that you know you can ‚deal‘ with when the worst happens, or be with people who can help you. 👍🏻
Epic droneage Andy and great accompanying music.
As you were backing the bike in to the parking spot I'm thinking how does he lose it here? I never saw the rock neither until the "event". Some bikes are just jinxed.
Cheers mate! Yeah it was a very unfortunate rockery location. A stealth mound, that i really didn’t see until the bike was at 90° 🤦🏻♂️
Great video series Andy, really enjoyed it. I fancy getting a drone (even after watching your recovery expedition 😉) to capture some bike trips. Any recommendations as to a type and model would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much John! The Air 2S that i had was great, but a bit big for on the bike TBH. Plus i couldn’t charge from a powerbank. I’d recommend any of the mini series. Obviously the newer (and more expensive) the better camera and more features (including crash prevention!) you’ll get!
that kawa look realy good
It is a handsome machine.
Our Family cabin is at hjelmeland so im rather familiar with the roads around there so its nice to recognice the places you passed.... could have given you guys a free bed and thrown in a BBQ..... have you ever had fresh mountain trout on the BBQ ?? 😄
Incredibly, yes i have! But I’m sure that it would be all the more spectacular in Norway! 😃 Lovely area you live in, maybe next time?!
@@AndyManCamsure just give me a call if you are in the area again 😃the fish is in the lake and the BBQ and Beers are always ready
@tolandur will do, thanks very much! Might be a while before i can get budget clearance again though! 😅
Great video and a great series!
Thank you very much indeed Mr Buzz!
Awwwwww. I really do like your channel, me Lover!
Thanks very much Edward!
The video shows Pulpit Rock from 6:14 to 6:20, it's in the top-middle of the frame, so you did catch it. The drone debacle wasn't for nothing. ;)
How do you know that😂 we had an idea where we thought it was but with the drone faff we thought we didn’t see it🙈
@@imw7094 I live in the area, very familiar with the formation.
Good to know it was ultimately ‚worth‘ it then! I couldn’t tell due the the small screen and not being able to (legally) get the drone any higher!
Well count your blessings..😢Last weekend I broke my left leg just by falling over during turning on a forrest road in the Ardennes. Still awaiting surgery..
Oh no!! Now that’s a real disaster. I wish you speedy recovery mate 🤞🏻
I darent think how long the rescue mission took! I couldn't deal with that stress either but I do love the photography
Apparently i was gone for over 90 minutes! As a helicopter flew over, Ian thought it was there to rescue me from some Cliff or ravine! 😂
I feel your pain with the drone Andy, I crashed mine whilst drunk last year on the Picos… same as you, sweating my tits off trying to find it, did in the end but the gimbal was broke, got it repaired and sold it….I’ll never fly drunk again lol
Ouch, that’s annoying. A literal „hold my beer“ situation!! A lesson learned for all of us though. We thank you for your service!
Felt for you mate, not nice when things just seem to keep going wrong. At least you got some great footage to share still, hopefully the bad luck is all in the past. My bike is finally back on the road btw, has been for a couple of weeks now, just had my first proper little rideout this afternoon, was delayed as my poor 14y/o Staffy was attacked by a Rottweiler a week ago last Friday, but doing amazingly well considering.
Cheers mate! We will see if the Aprilia is as much of a disaster magnet as the Honda was! If so, then it’s obviously me!! Glad to hear you’ve got the bike running again, hope the doggo is doing well.
Oh my goodness Andy I feel for you , it’s awful when things go wrong. Just to stand with you I’m laid up , I went to collect my second hand Triumph 865 se from a dealer and a hundred yards up the road I high sided don’t know what caused it but the clutch leaver punched a whole in my left knee . After 40 years not riding and I get a hundred yards so the bike is back at the dealer and after hospital I’m recovering at home , and at 64 it’s a slow recovery. 👍🏍😩🤗
Ouch! I’m so sorry to hear that! I hope you’re healing well and although slow, i hope the recovery all goes in the right direction 🤞🏻
another amazing vid, love it andy :)
Thanks a ton!
Is the car ok? 😉
Great series Andy and a great Drone recovery, thankfully I've not had to do one yet but I find the drone stuff such a faff I don't bother to fly it so much lol.
Ha! The car was just fine. Might need some counseling from the shock, but just a soft nudge. Totally feeling the faff affecting the flying. I hadn‘t really been able to throw the bird up for many months before this trip. Which also in turn means your skills get a bit rusty and your sense of when it’s time to send the thing home before the battery dies! 🤦🏻♂️
@@AndyManCam is it worth sticking a small flashing LED to it?
@HalfManHalfPirate There is a feature to make it flash and make noise. But obviously you need to have a little bit of power left for that! 🤦🏻♂️
Thank you sooo much for that series Andy. Really appreciate the hard yards you do for us but what is it with you and drones mate ?
Thanks mate! I don’t know, i just always want 10% more battery power than I’ve got!!
Oh Andy. You dropped the CB1000R this trip like 3 times.
I know. Not my best work!
I'm hoping the new Aprilia will produce some Trans Euro Trail videos. I think the Spanish TET would be a good option.
Sometimes it’s as if you can see my thoughts. I was already thinking that some Spanish TET would be right up my street. Or maybe some italian TET. Seems only fitting!
@@AndyManCam DO IT! ;) :D
@@AndyManCam There are more TET videos than you can shake a stick at, so I leave it to you to plough through them. However, the vast majority do not go solo. An incapacitating injury if riding solo in the middle of nowhere is not something you want. Having said that, he who dares Rodney, he who dares! 😉
He who dares indeed! Though certainly not clever. Will just have to wait and see what the universe puts in front of me. No real issues alone in Norway on the KTM, but that doesn’t mean something wouldn’t go wrong on the next trip!
@mattmutane5502 Something has to happen 👍🏻
Paint the damned thing dayglo !
That would probably help a great deal!! Unless you crashed in a lasertag arena…
Great set of vids Andy, Where's next then ? 👍
Thanks matey! Next up is Gran Canaria on a Ducati Desert-X 👍🏻 (With the odd Aprilia content thrown in to keep things current!)
You should paint your drone with flourescent paint or something ,put your ph number on it ,maybe some honest type will come across it,the visuals were quite nice ...keep at it
Personal info has to be on it by law anyway, but flouro colours might have helped a bit! Though TBH I’d have needed to be over that rocky crest to see it anyway, so might have saved me a few minutes at best! 😅
You are a muppet but it all makes for great content 😅
Thank you kindly Nick… I think! 🤪
Ok 👏🎉 tschuss
Cheers!
Loved this series mate. Brilliant photography and glad you found the drone. Does Ian still have the 1000SX? How's he finding it?
No mate, great bike and did all I asked of her, disappointed with the tyres but nothing I could do before the trip, but I couldn’t get on with the chain🙈 traded it for a Triumph 1200 xca at the same dealer I had the Kawa from, current bike is a Triumph 1200 gt pro. Which is brilliant 😀
Nice upgrade! I loved the SX when I tried it but it was too small for me. That engine is buttery smooth. All the best and enjoy the triumph.
@@indiamelia639ta, can’t seem to keep off the Triumph 😂
Thanks so much IM! Norway did most of the work and a good traveling companion is also a big help!
Never mind your bike, what about the car...
No cars were harmed in the making of this feature. It was just a nudge with my shoulder, no hard part contact!
Sore that bit ,no one hurt though 😕
That is true. Well, my pride was a bit bruised! 😅
Why the heck dosent they install a speaker that can make a loud sound when searching for it.
It does have the ability to make noise and flash the lights. Sadly you need power for that and the battery was already beyond empty!!
One of my great nightmares is dropping it like that and pitching it or myself into a car hard enough to do damage. Embarrassing wouldn't cover it
You’re so right. The very first thing i did was check if I’d damaged the car! 🙈
How are you getting on with the Tuareg? Was thinking of upgrading my Africa twin to the 2024 model, the lighter standard with tubless wheels. Though I've had my eye on the Tuareg. New colours for 2024 also. Leaning 50 50 towards the Tuareg.... Hmmmm.
I’d definitely go for the Aprilia Dave. Save yourself several thousand and end up with a far lighter, more exciting bike. Despite the planet turning torque of the KTM 1090, i‘m more than happy with the performance. It’s more about what you do with it than the numbers on the spec sheet. 👍🏻
@@AndyManCam great to hear, just Watched your new service video on it. U sound over the moon with it. Glad u found a good dealership. It's worth paying good money for good service. Did a bit of research, check The sump bolts ect from time to time should they vibrate loose. Love the bike 🏆🏆 it's a champ
Very much so Dave. After 5000km now, I’m still convinced that it’s a keeper. I’ve heard several times about the bolts. I’ll be keeping an eye on all of them!!
Stay safe cocker, u do nice doings 😂
Thank you kindly Eddie 😘
Andy, how do l check if l am still a patreon ?
You are one of the mighty few who actually support through the CZcams Membership 🫡
Skål, funny guys! 😁
Skål! I knew it, but just completely forgot it in that moment! Brain was toast by that point! Cheers!
😊😊🙋♂🙋♂
To be brutally honest...I loved drone footage a few years ago but these days I just FF through it.
I get that. There was a time when drone footage was something new. Now everybody has one!
Go on you found it, kin mission mate. I'm not buying a one.
Love the content mate
Thanks Mark! Yeah it’s not the greatest sales pitch for a drone! It was either the nerve wracking hike, or a 1000€ hit! 🙈
why???? as the smart man i am, i declair that i am mentally offline ( dont talk to me) for 30 min, 30 sec, the is a report on outdoor activities from wifey ?????
Wifey wasn’t best pleased with my exploits! 🤦🏻♂️
Do you ever wonder about certain time's in your life that could have possibly shaved just a little time off your lifespan? 🤏🤏 This could be one of those moments.😂 The cool thing is you caught it all on video. 😂 Great series Andy!
Yes, sadly i do. I think there were several points in this one where that could have very much been the case! Unfortunately my mrs watched the vids and she‘s also very quick to express her displeasure at some of the „incredibly dumb shit“ that i do! 😅
Will there be any more hiking videos on this channel? 🫢
Loved the series. Great Job 👍
Cheers dude. I sincerely hope not, but never say never! 😜
