Gran Canaria - GC-210, The Loneliest Road on the Island

- In April of 2023, while on holiday with Mrs Mancam in Gran Canaria, I was given the opportunity by local bike hire company Canary Ride to ride a Ducati Desert X around the island. For FIVE days!
In part 2 we check out the infamous GC-210. Apparently dubbed 'The Loneliest Road on the Island' and allegedly featured in Fast & Furious 6. (I actually couldn't find the road anywhere in the film, but thankfully it was such a great ride that it didn't matter!).

Just came back riding the same roads on my last day exactly 1 week ago and it was 6°C on the picos las nieves on the way back. Great video and music choice as always ❤

Thank you TS! The Versys was sold to make way for the FZ1-N. I’ve now got an Aprilia Tuareg 660 and it’s the bike i wish I’d gotten after the Versys! SO good!

Cheers Ben! I loved it! Engine is punchy, suspension is fabulous, didn’t notice the 21“ front wheel at all, all day comfortable and looks good too. I wouldn’t swap one for the Aprilia though. That thing continues to impress me!
AH a lot of mention of the KTM but you don't not got it any more! 🤔🤕 Ill miss it too.
It’s a bittersweet turn of events. Luckily there is still a bit of KTM content to come, before it was send out to pasture.

Thanks Mark! I really liked the Desert X mate. A LOT of fun to ride. While i think that the bike is worth the money, the servicing for the desmodromic valve system will make anybody without a trust fund weep! I also now believe that my Aprilia Tuareg 660 is better value for money.

I've noticed you are using a beeline on a handle bar mount...
Can I ask where you got the mount from?
It would be perfect for my tiger 900, I've looked on beeline's Web site and cannot see it.
I would be grateful for any info on the mount.

Thanks mate! Glad you’re enjoying it. I bought the mount from Decathlon. It’s actually a mount for a cycle computer, but they’re exactly the same.

Whats wrong with you? I actually did that road in my camper van. took me 39 minutes. And we stopped for tea and toast.
Haha! Don’t worry, i was done in 40 minutes too, with multiple wee stops and photo opportunities! I think i might have read the details from a cycling website 🤷🏼
