The GC-550 and GC-551 were two roads that I absolutely shouldn't miss. Turns out I actually DID miss one, but found another belter, the GC-65, in the process!

Once you get out of the town, every road looks to be a great road. Blimey, you don't have to worry about your tyres going square out there!
Certainly not far from the truth! The concentration of curves is unbelievable. I bet there are bikes with chicken strips in the middle of the tyre!! 😂

Tour is the best mode but you don’t want to rush on those amazing roads, it’s a long wet ride there on my Multi V2S and I love Madeira best, they have a lot more greenery…
Madeira was also on the shortlist, but i couldn’t sell the Mrs on the lack of Sandy beaches!

It was amusing hearing a UK guy refer to a "ground hog". I thought that term was only used by us 'Mericans to refer to the marmot species that lives in the plains of the Eastern US (Marmota monax). Originating from that area, I was quite surprised to see marmots above tree line here in the CO mountains, until I learned there were 15 species, and only one of them lives at low elevations.
In that moment, i couldn’t remember what the British word was! I was hung up on the German one for the first moment! Murmeltier.

It just annoys the hell out of me when people take a pristine vista and fill it with god ugly, useless, inefficient and environmentally destroying wind turbines just so they can feel smug, they are doing it here in New Zealand as well. Sorry for the rant, love your vids

Definitely not! The middle probably gets not wear at all and just sacrifices itself out of solidarity for the edges!
