- We've finally reached the halfway point of the trip!
Starting in Sjøholt, on the banks of Storfjorden, we leave the most northerly point of the trip and start heading south.
With several ferry crossings and about 315km of riding, we take in sights of Hjørundfjorden, Austefjorden, Voldsfjorden, Bjørkedalsvatnet, Innvikfjorden, Gloppefjorden, Hyefjorden, Hopsvatnet, Emhjellevatnet and all of the mountains and twisty roads in between!
But it looks like maybe there's been a hiccup with todays accomodation...

Cows are very unpredictable just like deer 🦌 31:18 and moose 🫎. This was the best installment of the Norway 🇳🇴 tour. Hello from a rainy 🌧 northern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks Shawn! You can always count on the unpredictability of large wild animals!
Wow, just wow!!
Cheers Daryl. I can only agree. It really should be called Norwow!
Many thanks for 31 minutes of cinematic excellent
My pleasure entirely mate! Cheers!
A couple of years ago I moved from the geographically pancake like Denmark to Ålesund in Norway. I'm never looking back and it's so much fun seeing you guys enjoy my neighbourhood. I would have brought beer had i known you were around these parts.
Nice, my wife and I stayed in Ålesund for a few days, in 2022, prior to heading north towards Northcap. Had a wonderful time there. Beautiful place.
@dsimon9s29 Glad to hear it! Sadly we were just breezing through. I’d like to have had more time for hanging around a bit!
So very jealous of anyone that moves to Norway! Utter paradise location! Sadly not so easy for an unqualified freelance british Citizen! Although convincing the wife to go there would be a bigger challenge than the bureaucracy!
@@AndyManCam if you do other things but music, let me know if you consider making the move and i'll pull some strings. (I work in oil, not music) Though, since you're german married i suspect the move should be doable if the wife is wanting a change of scenery. :D
I love those cabins :)
Us too! They were exactly the right amount of simple vs comfort! And mostly pretty cheap too!
2 in a week. Fabulous 👍
Been hard at it! Video editing too…
That’s what she said
Haha! Touché!
Epic. And that’s only the editing.
A hearty thanks Michael! 🙏🏻
As a female viewer telling us about cake is not good enough we need to see it! Brilliant video, as always, expect nothing less.
You’re absolutely right Beverley. I’ll be sure to collect the appropriate imagery next time! Thanks!!
Fantastic video and editing Andy. Your choice of music is sublime! Looking forward to the next episode...
Thank you kindly Tony!
Fantastic video and music choice as always 👍🏻 Great job 👏🏻
Thank you kindly MrB!
Absolutely amazing footage. Thanx Andy/Iain, really enjoyed this..
Cheers muchly! We really enjoyed making it for you!!
Great episode and entertaining as always
Thanks very much Uncle Bob!
Great video excellent roads,
Thanks very much John! The roads were simply sublime!
Those fjords were absolutely gorgeous, Slartibartfast would have been ever so proud..! 🤣
I’m absolutely sure he would!
The twisting roads you drove at around 9-10min mark i try to drive at least 2 times a month, (i live close by) they are so fun on motorcycle. And they are most fun the direction you vent.
You very lucky sausage! Such a beautiful area! Glad we went the ‚correct‘ way!
What an epic day and great video 👏
You're getting a solid 9 out of 10.
1/2 is reserved just in case you can top it and 1/2 removed due to the fjord puns 😁
Totally fair mate! Thanks very much. The full 10 is still to aim for!
Yeah, best idea for riding Norway - always always find the old ways over the mountains or around the ferries if possible. They're bound to be mind-blowing. But yeah... don't speed, that's jail time, and watch out for sheep. 😂
All right, all right, all right. Good Shit!
Thanks very much Geezer-Mcconaughey!
@@AndyManCam it’s something my Platoon Seargent would say when I was at Army Recruit training back in 1991
Hopefully that’s good memories!
@@AndyManCam it was fun
Well alright then 😉
Wow episode, wow views, wow editing, wow dronage. You left us on a cliff-hanger!
Thanks very much mate. Not all videos can have a happy ending! 😜
Another cracking episode, ol'boy. The Ian muffled waffle still makes me chuckle 😊👍🏼
Thank you dear chap! To think that i was really cranky to begin with that Ian’s audio wasn’t working. Turns out it was a bit of a comedy bonus! 😂
I concur with the 'others' (dark, Norwegian drama commas), love your charming, sweeping mini films.
Thanks very much Edward. And loving the DNDC‘s 😆
@19:35 one of the best shoots ever. It looks so good it always seems fake, amazing view.
I totally agree. It’s still hard to believe that it was all actually real and we really saw it with our own eyes!
That was another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Think this is your best video to date 🎉 the editing, drone footage and music. Wow! 👏
Thank you very much IM. Glad I’m developing in the right direction! 🫶
Excellent. R2D2 replaced by Sweep’s dodgy uncle.
Thanks mate! Sweep‘s dodgy uncle needed some airtime too! 🤣
It’s not much but a splash of fuel or tea. 👍🏻
Thank you so very much! Very much appreciated!! 🫶
Truly magical that Trevor 👌😜
Big time. Not sure what could top it TBH!
Simply WOW in every minute of this. But I agreee with Beverly: If you tell us sth about Kanelbullar, you must show them! - Thank you for this trip and all the work you put into editing these wonderful videos!
Thanks! You’re absolutely right. I will learn from my mistake and try harder to gather more visual evidence next time!
On the bucket list Andy, loved this series of vids, Scotland on steroids in every way ie roads scenery and weather, stay safe out there Bud
I totally thought the same thing. Lots of similarities, just much bigger!
As always, fantastic job.
Thank you very much for coming along Pete!
Living my dream guys. Looks fantastic.
And what a dream it was! Thanks mate!
Biggest cliff-hanger since 'Who shot JR?' Fantastic video very jealous and want to go to Norway now....🤩
Haha! Tension that you can cut with a (plastic) knife! Thanks very much Nigel and i can’t recommend a visit enough!
Just a stunning video... ...drone footage simply amazing. You should have asked TMF where he ordered the weather 🤣 You also should have insisted on buying the Police lunch (IMO) Looks like the Honda is looking after you well...despite you slagging it off.....never neglect your chain just because you have a Scottoiler fitted...😈
I honestly can’t complain too much about the weather! Overall it was dry! No hard feelings that TMF used up the sun Credits for the other days! We did try to push with the rozzers, but austerity they can’t accept bribes!! 😂 Can’t really fault the Honda TBH. But my annoyances were never about the performance. More the quality of finish and Honda‘s bad attitude. That and realising that it simply wasn’t comfortable enough for what i do.
@@AndyManCam To be honest, I know 'a bit of sun' usually makes for a better day, and in most cases 'adds to the video' but I don't mind the odd day of light rain on a tour, if you can chill out and relax into it, and appreciate the scenery, it adds a different experience or vibe if that makes any sense. The Police thing makes complete sense, I never thought about that side of things. I worked somewhere we couldn't accept 'Gifts' too. Time's gone by Honda had one of, if not the best 'quality of finish' in the business. Is the CB1000 still made in Japan? Oddly I wrote an essay at school my headmaster saw about wanting to visit Norway for 'the fishing'... He said something like 'You'll see there is much more to visit Norway for than the fishing' I was probably 11 years old....maybe 12. 🤣🤣🤣
@paullee6663 Totally agree. I usually prefer not to get wet, but it doesn’t ever stop me enjoying the ‚different‘ experience! Apparently the CB1000R is indeed still made in Japan. So they’re cutting costs there too. I actually had to replace the engine cover myself after this trip (third time‘s the charm) and the replacement part had huge Paint shadows and exposed metal in the corners. Very disappointing.
Im a long time biker but new to insta 360. Your videos are superb and have inspired me to achieve likewise. Thank you Andy and please keep up the excellent work. 😁
Thanks very much for saying so mate. Just keep trying stuff out and remember that less is more with this 360 stuff!
Great watching you're tour. We should have been there mid June but unfortunately Gremlins and poor health put paid to our adventure. Having said that watching this tour series my route planning has now changed a bit. Thank-you for the entertaining and stunning scenery footage. Cheers.
I’m really sorry to hear that Jackie. I hope things are getting better. Very happy to have helped with any new ideas for when you finally get there though! Ta!
Loving this series Andy… Another beautifully put together video. Stunning roads and scenery always make for great riding… Just need to work out how I can get me and the bike out there!! 😂
👍😎
Thanks again Si! However you can do it, do it! You won’t regret it!
Wish we still had the ferry from Newcastle to Bergen, it’s a long way from here but looks amazing….must have been great to do with your Dad too…all the best bikers are called Ian.😉👍😆
That would be cool. It really is a long way! The old ferry from Hamburg to UK would also be a bonus for me nowadays!! Progress eh?!
iam proud of Norway ( Norge )
I’m not surprised! Stunning country!!
@@AndyManCam Yes it is 😊😊 Hope you get to go even more North in Norway 😊😊
@handerbirdy7671 Maybe one day!
@@AndyManCam time will show 😊😊
Planning a tour with no Consistency, regularity or promise of quality is the only way mate ha ha! I can totally relate and it’s also the best way, cracking video buddy keep it up and I do hope one day we can go for a blast it would be epic if you could keep up 😅 🤘
I know right!! Cheers very much and who knows what could happen! I’ve still got no real idea whether the KTM has actually slowed me down or not!
@@AndyManCam I doubt it pal you seem a proficient rider anyway and the ktm is no joke, excellent machine 🤘
@baylatron Too kind 🙏🏻 It certainly doesn’t feel any slower and that’s all that really matters if we’re completely honest! 😊
@@AndyManCam couldn’t have said it better myself 👌
Buena música
Muchas Gracias!
Fjordtastic😅
Thank you very much! If i hadn’t delivered on the views, it would have been Fjordulent!
Great series of vids Andy.. What time of the year did you go to Norway. We’re thinking of going in August next year….
Thanks Keith. We were there middle to end of August. Apparently we were very lucky with the weather as the changeability levels are very high then! The roads were mostly very empty though!
I am coming to to Hamburg next week
Can I have a picture with you?✌️🏍🏍🏍
I’m afraid I’m confined to quarters after being knocked of my bike 2 weeks ago! But enjoy the freie Hanseatische Stadt!
Timing that's what she said
Considered African twin before this video. No I have to try an Aprilia 😊
You should! Trust me, you don’t need the power and Honda‘s build quality isn’t what it used to be either.
@@AndyManCam i have a XT 660 2004 and want a light bike with twin engine for longer rides. I'm tall though. 190 cm and need good ergonomic
@@AndyManCam but always dreamt of an African Twin since my youth when I had Honda xl 600
@eivinherfindal6658 I‘ve just done 5000km in 2 weeks with no comfort problems and I’m 193cm 👍🏻
Everyone needs a bit of AMC, food for the soul.
Too kind Mike, thanks mate.
Another stunning vid to add to the series, Andy.
Is there a spot in Norway where you can't see water?
Do you miss the CB1000? I don't think the KTM will be as much fun.
Cheers Jim. I think there are places, but they’re mostly indoors! 😂 I thought i might miss the nimbleness of the CB, but to be honest I’m utterly in love with the KTM and never feel like it’s holding me back. Plus 500km days are no longer physically painful!
Can you tell me the name of the band playing the song please?...excellent tour as usual!
Thanks very much! Which song are you thinking of?
@@AndyManCam the track that starts at 22.22
Why does Ian sound like a fusion of R2D2 and Sweep through your intercom?
@andy why are you pushing a lot on your left unit it's seems like?
Is it a tik ? Or every time its the indicator?
Both! 🙈 I have an automatic, subconscious and compulsive need to cancel the indicator with an unreasonably rapid frequency. I thought i was dealing with it, but apparently not! More therapy needed….
@@AndyManCam whahaha lol oke I noticed it. I do It also alot by my old motor vfr the tracer goes automatically out after corner
Question, does WAZE work in Norway?
I didnt get a chance to try it, but i think so.
What do get liters per 100km out of the bike?
About 5,7-6 on average, i think. When i went back on the KTM 1090 i got 5,1!!
@@AndyManCam Tanks for that. Am thinking of a CB1000R or a CB750 Hornet. Love your videos. Thanks very much for all the work you put into them. 😁
@alexonthestreet No problem Alex. Have you seen my Love / Hate list videos about the CB1000R?
backyard work, or tour, or Andy man Cam ??????
I think that if you’re asking, then you already know the answer 😉
yup
@@samdisen You knows it!
I have a Challenge for you, should you choose to accept, for the love of God and all things holy, stop with the comfort cancelling of your indicator when they're not even on. Its ALL I can see now, you're doing it on straight bits of road with no one around and not a road junction in sight, its doing my head in. lol
I Know, i know. It’s an issue I’m trying to deal with! The KTM has self canceling indicators and I’m trying as hard as possible to let the automatic system do it’s thing!!
@@AndyManCam You know I'll be watching...
In the next video, i too was horribly distracted and a little shocked by how much i pushed the button!! I think i might have to blur it out until I’ve got a hold of the problem!! 😅
