Day 12 sees us leaving Bergen, heading back into the hills and further down the west coast. With a lot of ferries to catch and the most changeable weather of the trip so far, it proves to be an eventful day! Watch out fo the dream lunch stop...

Have just ridden San Bernardino & Splugenpasses, videos were good, didn't show just how tight some of the hairpins on Splugenpass are. A difficult pass.
Thanks again! Yeah Splugen is a workout! I think they were resurfacing a large section of the hairpins when i was there. Maybe they made them tighter! 😜

Norway is pretty nuts to ride. Especially when you get to actual Fjord country. Rain gear is a must, though, it rains quite a lot. But some of the finest riding in the world.
Totally nuts and seemingly without end! 100% agree on the rain gear front! Good gear can make or break a trip like this!

Shame about the decomposing boot but in all fairness it's amazing you managed to avoid a touch of the trench foot.
Alwys nice to get some UV's in! To be fair, those boots have taken in a fair few miles! It was bound to happen at some point! If anything, they did well considering their price point! Keep your eyes peeled, there's still time for footrot!

Oh dear. I drove through there once. I remember a bleak greyness interrupted only by the leopard skirts of the hookers on the roadside.
in Norway, the roads are both wet and dry until observed.
And sometimes even when they are observed too!

I am amazed by how well you picked your route!! Even many local riders haven’t ridden some of the gems you covered. Did you just pick the narrowest and curvy roads you could find on the map, or did you get some hints in advance? 🇳🇴🏍️👍🏻🥳

Where stunning locations per square meter are concerned, i think Norway has to be at least in the top 3! We were there last 2 weeks of August mate. So this video was right near the end of the month. Apparently the weather is usually worse around then! 😄

Thanks Matt! It was the Büse Toursport Pro. To be fair they had big shoes to fill. I was comparing them to the Daytonas before them, which isn’t at all fair as they’re in entirely different price brackets!
@@AndyManCamFair enough, but shame they started leaking, I don't think they had had that much use? They are the ones you got towards the end of 2020 and went in the sea in your "Winter Wanderings"? How much did they retail for? As you say, if you're paying Daytona/GoreTex prices, then you'd deffo expect more (but then in theory, Gore would be replacing a Daytona that leaked, if Daytona already didn't...)

Thank you Dave! TBH I was angling to keep just the Panniers, but the buyer just lumped them all in together. So i kept the racks so that i could a) have the chance to use them if I decided to get another 1090 or b) sell them to claw back some more of the lost settlement.
