Even if I could afford an EV I wouldn't buy one and I'm an environmentalist. I own my 2009 FORD Falcon XR6 UTE (Australian) It has been well looked after. It has 179,000 KLMs (about 112,000miles) the carpet and interior is still new with no marks or dirt. I always get it serviced when it needs it, however i don't use it often ( I walk a lot) The last three years I have only put about 5000KLMs on it. The vehicle is cheap to maintain and cheap to repair, replace parts warn out (like brakes etc.) I fill it up about every 2nd month and it easily does 700klm on one tank. I don't have range anxiety, or have to plug it into the wall to charge it, or worry that I could be BBQ to death in a fire/accident. I don't have excessive insurance rates because its an EV or worry that some day I'm going to have to spend more than the purchase price to buy a new battery pack, or Elon Musk telling me what to do with my car. And the most fun part is since FORD Australia stopped making cars here, my vehicles value has actually increased so I can now get more than than what I paid for it.

Ev's are junk and a waste of time and money. And it raises car insurances rates after a car accident. Because most car insurance company's just wright them off.

I think that the only thing we miss is a EV car repair shop or have in the current repair shops a person, that can deal with a EV problem. Most of the parts are the same for EV/petrol cars, and for the battery, high voltage system and electric motor you need a specialist. So it could be a good business plan to have car repair shop that can handle EVs... All current cars are full of electronic systems, matrix lights, with modern CPUs to hande all the displays and software, etc. If somebody wants an easy and cheap to repair car, he should stay with 10 years old car...

All this is ridiculous the very fact that the British Government along with other governments are trying to get us all driving EVs by 2030 this is just stupid and shows how much the Government is out of touch with its people because nobody is buying EVs or at least not enough of us to make it justified

Lots are full of EV'S. Sales are a joke.. improved means to an unimproved end. Tesla is a failure. So are parts. Repairs. Lithium batteries. Then rape the rest of us with insurance coverage.

Create the infrastructure and then try to sell the product. The world is nowhere near ready for this. They need to be introduced much more slowly so they can evolve in a way that the problems can be overcome in an ordered and planned way.

No standardized battery packs and sizes, and connectors to the HV system. No standardized HV system (power electronics and control) for the various motor drive units and battery pack sizes. No fail safe systems keeping malfunctioning cells/banks contained and easily replaceable in the case of a failure. But hey, Elon’s “idiot index” surely paid off with nice fat margins, however not for the EV buyers.

I own a truck repair shop, I made this argument about the Tesla Semi. All the fanboys claim that it isn't going to break because it doesn't have a "complex" diesel engine. Well the facts are that most of the repairs I get in my shop are not engine repairs. There is still the rest of the truck, suspension, steering, lights, air brake systems, heating and air conditioning, door latches and thousands of other stuff to break. Tesla can't even supply parts to repair it's cars. No way am I going to be able to get what I need to fix the Semi

E.V.s will never be fully adopted no matter what mandate they pass. Hardly anyone outside of cities wants to drive an EV. We use electric bicycles though.

I'm so delighted to see the EV fad circling the drain, and I was never buying one of those things, I love my V6 Accord. The video should have also covered the charging issues, and the billions Biden spent on charger stations and only a few were ever built, and then too the copper thieves cutting off the charging cables to sell the copper.

EV was a scam from the beginning and some bleeding hearts fell for it hard. Now they are paying the price. These bleeding hearts cry about the “planet” but refuse to talk about real reason which is too many people making too many babies. Overall population increase is the real reason for planet “dying” as they put it.

My GF was really pissed at Tesla as she had a problem while charging and could not get a support person to help time was 3:00 PST. Problem was related to a update by Tesla which changed the AMP setting to the original charge rate of 34. I had set to 24 amps. At the 34 amp setting it fried the wires. Fortunatly it did not cause a house fire. I did the repair and she rest the the charge rate to 24 amps. Tesla updates should not touch the charge settings.

Who wants “software” in a vehicle. I want a mechanical machine with a simple powerplant. I would never consider an Ipad as a viable means of anything……except amusement. Modern technology……is not refined as mechanical technology is. Reliability is disregarded and gravely misunderstood by manufacturers.

If so why ev sales are increasing and all governments are giving subsidies to build ev cars. When ICE engine introduced there are few petrol pump,sometimes petrol was not available on the pump but in time the problem is solved. I think you should not be so negative about EVs .
