The folks with this clip are really not ready to face the future. Keep pushing ICE, oil, and that wonderful smelling exhaust, you'll catch up sooner or later.

The world is not America!! China has a huge selection of very good EVs. The battery materials are no worse than the environmental disaster with fossil fuels. Charging from home is MASSIVELY better as I charge either off peak (time of use meter) that is peanuts. In the daytime I charge off the excess energy capacity from my full house solar system. I have over 300 miles of range in my EV EVERYDAY. I NEVER have range anxiety. 38,000 kilometers and zero issues or scheduled maintenance. My Mercedes C43 AMG equal in size, performance and weight, cost nearly twice as much as my Tesla dual motor Model 3 to purchase. Annual running cost of the C43 to go 20,000 miles is about 3,200 dollars. My Tesla to go the same distance about 450 bucks! Huge savings. 2750 dollars over 8 years (battery warranty) is an accumulated savings of 22,000 dollars! The charge infrastructure (Thailand) is well done with the DC fast charger locations at the major brand name gas stations. It's also possible to reserve a time slot. Quite convenient. In USA and the IRA act 7.5 Billion dollars was budgeted to build out a charge network. After nearly 2 years the last count was 7 stations were constructed. What an embarrassing massive failure. Heads should roll. With Apps such as "A Better Route Planner" trips in my Tesla are mapped automatically and navigate to charge locations, with arrival times, and details about the charger if it's broken or in use etc. A round trip 31 hour drive time over 2,200 km had my arrival times within 38 minutes of a gas car. Plus I had an extra 100 bucks in my pocket from the savings. Near me both public and private industries have completed large wind and solar grid installations thus renewables are nicely planned and ramping up with detailed energy plans from the Electrical Generating Authority. The false media and anti EV hype spread around the US is politically driven. In Thailand the choice of EV or ICE is solely on merits. 1out 4 passenger car sales is now EV. When done right and intelligently an EV adoption plan can work. But in USA everything is divisive with way too much hatred and negativity. (I'm an American expat so I know of what I speak). My EV experience debunks all those erroneous points made here except one. I was not under any illusion that EVs are going to save the planet. They are simply a much superior choice of vehicle propulsion. If EVs are out of favor in the US and the markets don't want them, why slap a 100% import duty on modestly priced high quality EVs from China? The entry level EV from numerous Chinese manufacturers start at about 20 k USD. Very affordable. It's hit pieces such as this content that spread the BS and contribute to the false narrative of EV operation. Next month my MG Cyberster 2 seat roadster convertible 536 hp EV gets delivered. I'll never go back to gas and I'll laugh all the way to the bank driving past gas stations that I'm no longer dependant upon. Charge from home while you sleep and if you can get a full house solar system and kiss the ICE experience goodbye. 40 Million EVs on global roads and expanding. The majority of those owners recant real world positive experiences such as mine. Again the failure in USA in "EV understanding" (the worst globally) just shows the inept and stubbornness to open their eyes to transportation possibilities that have real merit.
