I don't get fast charging. Experts seem to agree that frequent fast charging will degrade your battery so why would you want to damage your own car? Unless of course, you don't plan to keep the vehicle long term and just intend to sell your damaged vehicle and make it someone else's problem, which will ultimately contribute to the falling value of used EVs.
Home charging is the suggested way to charge only using charging stations when necessary.
I know a few people that own Tesla and have no issues at all and they say they would never go back to a gasoline powered car
Ask them after they sell or replace their Teslas so they have the entire ownership experience.
These cars record everything, where you drive,how you drive, when you drive. So why can’t they show the prospective buyer how often they were fast charged ?
I have own a Mini Cooper electric for two years and so far I have spent zero dollars in additional cost to maintain her.

The problem with BEV the batteries have a limited lifetime of about ten years. When the car needs a new battery it is junk if it is out of warranty.
Right to repair for sustainability! Bring reliable ICEs and transmissions back! Fewer electronic control modules. The world had it right circa 2000s as far as reliability standards and emissions. Institute UN repairability standards just like the Toyota Land Cruiser. The greenest vehicle on the road is the one that stays there the longest.

Likely the EV battery will outlast the structural stability of the car itself. In particular the Bolt battery management makes this possible. The dealership told me a Volt (Hybrid) driver had a 400,000 mile battery. The other point easily glossed over is that the battery doesn't just stop working. It slowly degrades in range over time. This means you can continue to run the car even if a battery replacement might be obvious.
That isn’t true, not even close. The structure of the car will last decades the battery maybe a decade plus or minus.
Li-Ion batteries degrade by two parameters how many full and age. So even if you rarely drive your BEV the battery is degrading.

@@markzellner1702 When a battery loses a substantial percentage of its capacity it becomes essentially useless. The Nissan Leafs are prime example. When we see large numbers of 20 year old Teslas still on the road with their original batteries I will believe it. I have a 27 year old pick up. While it isn’t nearly as pretty as a new vehicle its functionality is can still do 100% of what it could when it was new. Still has the same range, gets the same gas mileage, can carry and tow the same amounts. I also have a Tesla Power Wall in less than 4 years I have owned it, it has lost 10%-15% total capacity using from 10%-20% of its capacity each day. They say the loss rate drops off, but Tesla only guarantees 70% capacity remaining at 10 years.
The latest EV charging ability as discussed in your video, says with the fastest chargers it can get 90 miles of range in 7 mins. With my Deisel Audi I can get 730 miles of range in 3 mins at any deisel pump 😊

Don’t buy cars as an investment, buy them to get you from point A to point B! All cars depreciate the minute you drive them off the lot.

Depreciation is only a problem if you either plan to sell it or bought it as an investment. If neither applies its irrelevant.
