Ford calls their electric vehicle division the “E division“ - the last time they used that was for the Edsel which was introduced on “E day“ and we know how well that program went

Reason #8. Salesmen and mechanics have no clue how EV's work.

In any relationship once Trust is lost it is difficult to get it back and , at best , takes a long time to reestablish .

Depends on EV. I've seen that low end models can run above 8k.

Batteries last over 300,000 miles. The question is how much do engines and transmissions cost as most go bad before 300,000 miles

The warranties on the batteries various from 8 to 10 years or 100,000 miles which ever comes first.

Not surprised. Here in Northern Ireland (UK) our nearest charging point is 14 miles away.

Because those are very limited in make and models. Mostly high end and anything Buick

EVs were around in the early 20th century and were hampered in their sales by high cost, short range and long recharge times compared to equivalent ICE cars. Fast forward to the present day and new EVs might be more advanced but they still have the same basic problems that they had a century ago.

  • @davenone7312

They should just drop out of the entire EV market. The EV market is not large enough to support every carmaker to compete with Tesla.

If ford can't make an affordable EV which is basically a battery, a computer and a motor, they should stop making cars altogether!
