The Return to Ettinger Falls, Windsor, Nova Scotia
Well I visited the birthplace of hockey, Windsor, Nova Scotia, once again to hike up to Ettinger Falls. It was a muggy overcast Canada Day weekend with a break in the foul weather. I had been under the weather for at least 2 weeks but I was getting cabin fever and I knew the outdoors would make me feel so much better.
I took my moms beagle Maggie with me and as a typical beagle she does not listen, and always sniffing lol. She decided to take a run after a whitetail doe but she would not even have a chance so she more or less watched it walk off. The birds were very active and provided a beautiful atmosphere.
The last visit to this location was in the spring but on this occasion it was now summer and I think more beautiful. It is a great hike up to the falls through a dense mixed forest. The benefit to this, there are trails leading up to the falls or you can use the main gravel road to access the location. It is a little more treacherous closer to the falls so be careful.
I managed to grab some nice pictures of the falls and surrounding area. There are fish in the stream as I managed to capture one in a pool at the base of the falls but it was darting across.

All my filming was done using the iPhone 15 Pro, GoPro's Hero 10 & 12. The Freewell ND 1000 filter was used to capture the long exposure shots.

Where do you wash your pugs ? In the Pugwash river of course , Ha Ha . I always wanted to fish down that way , never made it . Worked there cutting out transmission lines for the power company so I seen lots of land & fishing spots . I sub, you sub, I watch , And I hope to make video's as good as yours . Cheers
Can you catch salmon in that river?
I have never caught any Salmon surprisingly. Now the Wallace River and River Philip which are on either side do hold salmon
Now pomoly says the kit doesn’t come with the bottom section anymore, even if the picture on their website shows so.
You mean the stepped pipe to accommodate different diameter pipe? If so, that's unfortunate. Not sure why the would eliminate that portion
@@BlueSea_72 I just emailed Pomoly about this. You have to contact them by email to know if your damper is the “old” style one. If so, when you order, you give them your order number via email (immediately after you place the order) and they are supposed to include a new style damper with the stove pipe kit. I do think the pipe fits inside the damper now so if there is creosote, it will flow down back into the stove. I placed an order recently, I will see how it goes.

Well I am in Canada I can tell you but can tell you how to get a rough idea. If you don’t have an account just make one and add the item you your cart. Proceed to end without out paying. It will tell you the shipping. But be aware as with me you will get hit with customs and import tax. Hope that helps

Manners be damned!!😂 Are you and your brother twins? I just got back from a week camping/hunting trip in the Black Hills of South Dakota, with my stepson and two oldest grandkids, among others. Turkey hunting! Had a great time, but the best times were hanging out with my grandkids, and the step-son, {although I'm still pissed at him for marrying my daughter, 20 years ago🤣} setting around a fire at night, cowboy coffee, pot hanging from a tripod, one trying to out lie the other about the size of the Elk, Deer, Pronghorn, fish, taken in years past. Can you explain why use the cigarette adapter extension
Well it can be used in 2 locations. In your vehicle or anything that has a cigarette lighter that produces enough power to run it and it also plugs into my BLUETTI power bank
@@BlueSea_72 thank you for the quick reply. I recently bought a EB55 and I have read where it worked for some but not others. And it was because of the spike in Amps to get the glow plugs going. After that it's no issue for the power bank to run the heater. I have read multiple times where people had changed the adapter to something similar to yours. I was curious if you did that for a similar reason.
@Dorkus_ well theyare of high quality and I had a bunch lying around so I utilized it worked. Maybe luck or the quality lol
@@BlueSea_72 I don't doubt it. I guess I'm confused because I don't have the heater yet. So I don't know why the plugs they come with would not work. I just remember reading a couple messages on yt where people said the blueetti shutdown because of the amp spike over 10a. Then again I've read and seen video of the opposite! Such as here where it works for you. Lastly I was just curious about the adapters and how much they are actually needed to start the vevor off the blueetti. It makes sense I just wanted to ask someone before I bought it.

Hi Gary from the UK here grate video very interesting and informative keep them coming and thank you , I was wondering if you can help me first of all what model of bluetty power bank are you using and can I plug the bluetty to the mains electricity to charge the bluetty and still use the bluetty to run my diesel heater at the same time for heating my work shop for long periods of time. Thanks Gary I appreciate the kind words. Mine is the BLUETTI AC70. Yes it will still run the diesel heater and will still remain charged while plugged into the wall. Hope that helps.
Your video is very encouraging, recently I also opted for a rigid stainless steel chimney, with a FireHiking stove, mainly because I need 90° sections. The problem was making an adapter to connect the damper with the pipe, exactly the same diameters, where did you find the section with the "double bump", it's not in the Pomoly catalog? That seems the best joining option even though Polomy discourages the use of stainless steel pipes with their titanium wood stove, for the moment it is working well for me... and less stressful then rolling titanium pipe. Thank you also for finding the Winnerwell steel brush, I'm ordering one right away. Greetings, it seem we are neighbors, I'm from Québec.
Thanks brother for the kind words and glad I helped. The brush is really great but if they are really caked up like burning softwood. Throw the pipes directly in a hot fire. Come out just like new.
