Hot Tent Camping in Deep Snow

- I really needed a trip to the outdoors again to reset after having the flu for a few weeks. nothing better than a night out hot tenting. I did a little snowmobiling and ice fishing in between. We have had record snowfalls here in Nova Scotia even though it does not appear that way. There was a hard layer on the surface which somehow was holding my 190 lbs up. You could see where the deer were falling through. When I took my snowshoes off I sunk through a few times while harvesting firewood. I set up my trusty Pomoly Stovehut 70 2.0 with my paired Pomoly Altay Winter Stove. I located some awesome apple and maple hardwood. It didn't take long to get set up and I cooked a delicious pork meal. It was a beautiful calm crisp and cold night but the stove kept me more than warm enough. I have the version 3 of that tent. Love it, too. But lately I have been using my OneTigris Cuzshack. Much more room for my dog and I. I use a cot instead of a hammock. I love watching videos like yours when I'm not out there. Leaving Friday morning for Dosewallops area in WA. Lowlands of the Olympic mountains. Thanks for the meditation.😊
That’s awesome man. I have used my Helinox cot in mine. I have an Aussie doodle but he’s relatively small. My son andI have slept in the tent together. Manageable but snug lol I will be heading out this weekend for another. Not sure what I am using this time
Lola is a boxer my girl got me before she passed. Lola loves camping and it is my happy place 😊. You obviously have a much larger collection of tents to choose from. Man....a Dutch oven has completely changed my cooking game. And I'm a retired chef.😂
Yeah Dutch ovens rock. I made bannock with cranberries in it a month ago right on top of stove :)
One stop shop for cooking anything. We are truly lucky for this path we've chosen. Keep up the good work. Maybe I will post a few things to share with you. In the meantime.... keep having fun.😊
By the way..I partially grew up in Kenora on Lake of the Woods Been in your neck of the woods a few times. Those Atlantic storms are brutal. Good on you.
